Very friendly and helpful staff, amazing breakfast and walking distance to many main attractions. Our room had a lovely partial view of the sea. We had a plumbing issue in the bathroom which was sorted within minutes. We also took advantage of the airport transfer which was very convenient.

The rooms are dated and could use a renovation.

Lovely roof terrace with views of Blue Mosque and Bosphorus Strait (and Asia on the other side). Good location in old town. Lots of traditional Turkish charm. Turkish breakfast buffet with huge frame of honeycomb!

A distribution board in Rm 101 was buzzing all night. My son had to turn off the electrics. Slightly ‘faded glory’ feel about it.

Great location and easy walking distance to main attractions such as the blue mosque and grand Bazaar. The hotel was very clean and tidy. The staff were friendly and helpful. The included breakfast was excellent!

Lovely ottoman style hotel. Not very big but definitely very cozy. Located within the old city walls just across the road from Bosporus within walking distance from Sultanahmet square and other landmarks. Despite its close location to the busy touristic route it's very peaceful and quiet. The staff is absolutely amazing!! The top roof restaurant boasts a view on Hagia Sofia and the Blue mosque. Every time I come to Istanbul I stay in the Armada hotel and it was my fourth stay.

Great location near all the main attractions and public transport. The hotel is a bit older but with old world charm and great care has been taken in maintaining everything. Our room was room was very clean and comfortable and we were pleasantly surprised by the view of the sea and the old city walls. Breakfast is served on one of the terraces with all the typical offering of a turkish breakfast (this terrace becomes a restaurant at nigh with live music at night). We enjoyed the complementary tea offered at night on the opposite terrace which offers a spectacular view of sultanahmet. There was one night with a neighboring building playing very loud club music and we called downstairs to see if anything could be done. We were very grateful and surprised by how quickly the issue got resolved by the security staff. This place is a steal for the price, location and quality offered.

Very small detail but the lamp directly over the bed was a little annoying. Accidently banged my head a few times when getting up.

Before booking, I wanted to have a sense of the authentic 20th century Istanbul vibe. That was my expectation and that's exactly what I got. The hotel has somewhat an antique feel to it which honestly was the highlight for me. It will cherishingly stay with me forever I suppose. Apart from that at the price point, pretty much everything else was also reasonable. The rooftop is really nice, as well as the sea view. As I said, you will leave with a memory mark :)

Just a couple of things. The location is a little tricky. The walk to Sultanahmet square is slightly steep. Lastly, just like everywhere else in Istanbul you'll get a mix of warm & cold people, same i felt at the hotel. A few people were super welcoming & helpful, extremely decent... whereas I did encounter a couple of cold individuals too. But that's that.

Lack of Breakfast Variety: While the breakfast was tasty, the same options were offered daily, which became monotonous after two days. A bit more variety would have been appreciated.

breakfast was rich and delicious , there is a nice terrace from where you can see the mosques , the staff is friendly and will help you, you can dine at the restaurant , the food is good , the lobby has an antique lovely feeling .

on the first night the room was cold , they fixed it the next day , we specificated that we want a double bed when we made the booking , we got a twin bed instead. we pushed the beds together so we could sleep together , when we asked for the room we booked they told us they don't have any double bed ones , so we spent the rest of our trip in the original room

The breakfast was the best we've had in all of Turkey! The view from the breakfast dinning room is amazing, the Sea of one side, the Hagia Sofia and the Blue mosque on the other. We had an early morning departure and requested a breakfast "box". Instead of provided us a box with dried food, they provided us with an early morning plate with a delicious selection from their buffet! There is an amazing view from the roof top terrace especially of the Sultanahmet/Blue mosque and the Sea. The outdoor roof top terrace is open to all guests even if you are not going to order any drinks, so definitely pop up there in the evening when the Blue mosque is all lit. The staff at the front desk are very nice, accommodating, and willing to be helpful. We needed an extra blanket, we needed an early breakfast, we needed some material printed, in each case they were very accommodating. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Unfortunately there was a bit of a language barrier with the staff when it came to providing some guidance about the city, although they genuinely tried to be helpful. The location is good, if you don't mind a bit of walking. Most places were within 15 to 20 minute walk, so it was fine for us. Lots of restaurants within 5 to 10 minutes walk. Very close to the Tram 6 line stop (Cankurtaran), which was useful to us as well. One word of warning, be aware that their restaurant can book up quickly at dinner time, so you might want to make a reservation if you are dead set on eating there one night.
