A first rate hotel in an excellent location right in the heart of the old city. You won't find better in the area! It is very modern and clean. Staff and service are excellent. Rooms are modern, clean and we'll appointed. The room was air conditioned and the bed was very comfortable and kept my wife's fragile back in good shape. The bathroom was spacious and well appointed - the shower was great. The hotel also has a first class indoor pool and spa with a beautiful Turkish bath! We indulged in a full Turkish bath experience followed by a message and it was wonderful. This hotel has a rooftop restaurant with fantastic views which is where the breakfast buffet is served which was beyond amazing! So many Turkish dishes and more. There was an amazing selection and everything was tasty, fresh, beautifully prepared and presented. The hot dishes were changed each day so there is good variety for those staying a few days. In the evenings, the rooftop restaurant offers a full service dinner menu that is delicious and the view of the Bosphorous is amazing. There are numerous restaurants just up the street from the hotel. 3 restaurants stood out - ŞATO’s Restaurant, Vista Roof Lounge and Queb Rooftop Restaurant!. The Queb Rooftop Restaurant (on top of the Byzantium Hotel & Suites) is simply the BEST rooftop restaurant in the area! Its has the best view overall, excellent food and service, and best of all it is reasonably priced. We went there twice and it won our hearts for our last dinner in Istanbul. Just a 15-20 minute walk and you can be at the Sultan Ahmet Park between the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia Grand Mosque. There is a small and inviting Arasta Bazaar just before you reach the Sultan Ahmet Park that you should visit. It is a mini version of the Grand Bazaar.

Excellent location, nice staff, good breakfast. Perfect cleanliness. Good pool and Spa. Considering the location, cleanliness, staff and services of the hotel, I would choose accommodation there again, but I would definitely check in advance whether I will get the rooms I paid for, because I was very disappointed.

I did not receive the rooms I ordered and paid for. I got smaller rooms. I paid for a Deluxe King Room and got a Standard Room. No one responded to the complaint at the reception, which is sad.

The hotel is very elegant and spotlessly clean. The staff are extremely helpful. Breakfast is excellent at the rooftop restaurant. Swimming pool and gym are very good with showers, sauna, steam room and towels provided. The hotel is a few metres to bars and restaurants and in easy walking distance to the major sites in Sultanahmet - Topkapi Palace, Hagia, Blue Mosque.

We had a standard corner room on the 4th floor which was quite small and had awkward angles because of the roofline. It was not possible to walk around the bed without bending. Also, wardrobe and drawer facilities are very limited. The bathroom was tiny - only one person at a time.

I really liked the location of the hotel it was close to many famous attractions, it’s a very particular hotel but very modern at the same time. The view on the roof terrace is beautiful, you can see all the Bosphorus and the breakfast is also delicious. The staff are very kind and sweet and always available if you need anything.

One of our rooms was a bit too small and the other one had a view on the ground floor were people walk by, but for the rest everything was great.

Good location, friendly service, Spa nice

Room smelled strong like cigarette smoking. I guess hotel management knew about it, but tried to seem surprised. Got another (not smelling) room after the first night, which was smaller without any compensation or regret.

Excellent location, very close to Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque. Very nice rooftop restaurant with beautiful view.

The room and bathroom space felt a bit small.

This property was off the Main Street and relatively quiet despite the restaurant below. Housekeeping was fantastic and provided a light sheet to sleep under. Huge variety of breakfast with a great view. Checking education was very helpful. I also took advantage of the baths at the hotel.

Unfortunately the electricals weren’t working so well in the room. The AC constantly turned itself off at random times including overnight, which meant we woke in an uncomfortable sweat. The lamp switches were also not working. Despite their efforts to rectify, it never got fixed during our long stay.

Staff are friendly and helpful. Good selection at breakfast. We had an issue with our room and we were moved with an apology and a smile, just what you want when there is an issue. We will definitely return. The location is good, in walking distance to the blue mosque, restaurants, a small bazaar and a small train/shuttle service. Nice spa area in the basement which is included in the price with a pool, sauna and steam room. Massages etc are available at an extra cost. Great view of the Bosphorus straight from the restaurant (and I assume rooms that are higher up).

The cheaper rooms are on the small side but unless you intend on spending a long time in there this isn't a problem. Also it's a boutique hotel so if I'm honest smaller rooms are the norm in my experience including in the UK.

Location, value, and excellent service

The deluxe rooms are quite small. And the breakfast options are quite simple/limited.

Excellent place to stay in Sultanamhet. Staff took care of everything that we needed, and we loved the rooftop restaurant as well as the pool and sauna areas. Food was delicious and we really enjoyed the breakfast spread. At night we enjoyed the quiet time dining with the breeze coming through the window as we looked down on the Bosphorus. Room was a bit on the small side, so next time we would probably upgrade to one of the larger rooms shown in the photos. Nice amenities and lobby, very nice stay.
