I liked everything. The location was perfect. A walking distance from most attractions. Staff were very friendly. I enjoyed breakfast every morning because the food was very good, but I enjoyed more the welcoming and friendly restaurant staff. They always meet you with a big smile. A big thank you to Mr. Kadir who was always attentive and ready with answers. He also arranged a couple of tours for me for a very good price. I also enjoyed talking with Mr. Salman while I was waiting in the reception area on my last day. Overall, I believe I had a great time and enjoyed my stay at the hotel a lot. I would definitely go back and stay with them if I am ever in Istanbul again.

All TV channels were in Turkish. Couldn't watch any programs while I was in my room. Maybe a few English channels would be great.

Outstanding hospitality - Selman was excellent from beginning to end; he actively reached out to me to see if me and my family (7 other people) were making ourselves feel comfortable during our stay. He even reached out to me a couple weeks before our trip! He helped us arrange transport, recommended good restaurants and also suggested some nice places to visit. Extremely convenient location - very close proximity to tourist attractions such as Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Eminönü and Cistern Basilica. Breakfast - good options available, would suggest a few more (and varied) hot food. Otherwise perfect! Overall the hotel was modest looking, but it is the hospitality that made the stay extremely worthwhile.

Very minor suggestions - the WiFi is a bit unstable and it disconnects from time to time. The TV doesn’t work and it only has one channel. The rooms may need a bit of an upgrade, but I notice that this is something that they are working on upon our departure from the hotel.

Location, kindness of the staff. Room service is ok.

Breakfast is poor (less than basic). Some rooms are renovated but not all. There was not enough hangers for clothes in the closet. In the toilet there was no hangers att all. There was no electric cattle for tea nor the glasses. Poor insulation of doors towards the corridor,. During our stay there was a group of very loud Italian tourists so we couldn't sleep untill very late hours. It repeated every night and was very exhausting, specially for children.

The hotel was near to the central town. We could easily go to various attractions via tram or train. There are also many nice restaurants and souvenir shops nearby the hotel. The hotel manager, Mr Selman, was very nice. He always checked in on us and even helped us to arrange for airport pick up and return.

The rooms were a little small. They had an option for a room for 3 pax and it looked quite spacious in the photo so I booked that room for me and my 2 siblings. However, when we arrived, the room was too small and cramped. We would have opted for separate rooms instead if we knew that it was too small for 3 pax.

Lovely helpful staff,perfect location for Saltanamet (Blue mosque , Grand Bazzar, Topkapi etc) We had the suite with views over rooftops to the Bosporus.There is a spacious terrace (we did not use in January)

In January the heating on max temp (heat function on air-con unit)struggled to heat the room.The room pictures are taken with the doors open so it looks more spacious than in reality ,any other time of year this wouldn’t be an issue.There is no heating in the bathroom especially for drying towels(this could be easily fixed with an electric towel rail)

Artefes Hotel excellent choice to stay within a minutes to walk to the main sightseeing places of İstanbul. Place wrapped around of the restaurants and shops, easy reach tramline. We stayed in Suite room with spacious balcony with beautiful see view. Hotel provide nice breakfast with well cooked delicious food. As all buildings at the old town they do a lot improvement to the rooms. Room was spacious with air conditioning. Excellent service. Every member of staff were friendly and helpful. It was nice to see a real Turkish life around too. Thank you for great hospitality and warm welcoming us for few days. We definitely will stay next time too. I would love continue go to the roof terrace for sunbathing and beautiful view.

My family and me really had a wonderful time at Artefes: staff was very kind, always ready to help, either when organizing tours or the transfer to the airport. Breakfast with a wide variety of options and with very good coffee, which we also had the chance to enjoy for free in the evenings from the nice terrasse upstairs. A special mention to the very comfortable beds, essential to get some good rest after our demanding walks along the steep streets of the city. We would gladly stay here again.

The staff was fantastic 10/10. All the hotel employees were exceptionally friendly! They provided us with all the necessary information for getting around the city, sightseeing, and had excellent lunch recommendations. There is a great restaurant, Marbella, across from the hotel, offering traditional Turkish cuisine with a sea view. The hotel is in an excellent location, from which you can see a lot on foot or by tram. Breakfast was good 9/10. A variety of vegetables, appetizers, potatoes, bulgur, fries, eggs, beans, mushrooms, sauces, salads, ham, cheese, coffee, tea, juices, spreads, pies, pastries, jams, cakes, and desserts. Suitable for vegetarians and vegans as there are plenty of vegetables. All the vegetables, beans, potatoes, and bulgur were cold. It is probably served as a cold salad or appetizer, but it would be more delicious if the food were warm. The hotel also offers a night boat Bosphorus cruise, where transportation picks you up in front of the hotel, takes you to the boat, and returns you to the hotel in the late hours of the night. They also offer daytime cruises. The hotel staff will provide you with plenty of necessary information and suggestions for making your stay in Istanbul as enjoyable as possible! 10/10 Everything was 10/10, but we would rate the room cleanliness 8/10. The bed linens, beds, and towels were all great. However, the floors could have been vacuumed and cleaned better, and the windows could have been cleaner better. We recommend staying at Artefes Hotel because you won't regret it!!

The hotel is perfectly located, very close to main sights like Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia, etc but still in a quiet side road. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Breakfast is great- served with vue on the water and a wonderful turkish buffet every morning. Great value for money during the time we were there. I also slept really well (in hotels I often wake up with neck pains)

While the breakfast is great, the coffee is really bad (watery, comes out of a machine), so better stick to the Turkish tea. I really started longing my morning coffee after the third night at the hotel. My friend found the TV too small, I personally didn't care
