This hotel is great! We spent 3 nights in Istanbul for my mother's birthday and I selected this place based on all the good reviews. I'm so glad I did! The staff is very accommodating. The front desk attendants gave us a rundown of good restaurants, sightseeing paths and tourist tips when we arrived. The other reviews aren't exaggerating about cleanliness. Our room was super clean. If it's in your budget, I think it's worth it to get the Superior room. The bed is a full size, rather than the king bed advertised but we were quite pleased with the extra space in our room. It didn't feel cramped. The location is in a great part of Sultanahmet. We walked around the neighborhood and found little charming places along the way. It's also 5 min walk from the Blue Mosque, saving us taxi fare. Overall, it was a great experience and I would book the same hotel for my next Istanbul trip.

The only thing that kept me from giving them a perfect score was the breakfast. Although they had a good amount of options, the food wasn't tasty and the uncovered food displays attracted many flies. We tried the hotel breakfast the first day and decided to skip it for the rest of the trip.

I had the best time at Albinas Hotel and truly can’t wait to go back to Istanbul, knowing without a doubt that I’ll be booking the same place again! Everything was absolutely perfect — from the comfortable and spotless room to the top cleaning service, delicious breakfast, and the incredible hospitality throughout the hotel. Fantastic Stay in the Heart of the City We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The rooms were exceptionally clean, and the bathrooms were spacious, providing a comfortable and relaxing environment. The breakfast was varied and fresh, offering a great start to each day. The location is unbeatable – just a short walk from the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia, making it perfect for exploring the historic heart of the city. The staff were always friendly and attentive, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere throughout our stay. If this hotel fits within your budget, look no further – it’s a fantastic choice for a memorable stay in Istanbul.

Office staff are very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. I couldn't complete my review without mentioning Makbolay the cheff, wonderful and smiling face on any request from customers. Recommend and guided us to take big bus tour and bosphorus boat trip. Both were great did some shopping in Taksim and bought leather caps and jacket close to the boat stop on Asian side. Getting off the boat and making left passing the police post, there are shops on lower level you will enjoy the hospitality. We were so busy that forgot to take pictures. Sorry 😞

The staff were excellent, providing helpful information and there was always someone sat at reception. The hotel was great value, with a good breakfast included with a lovely rooftop terrace, comfortable rooms and daily housekeeping. The hotel even gave us a parting gift to remember our stay, and made my friend’s birthday very special by gifting her a birthday cake on the day. The service was exceptional. The location is also perfect, so close to attractions and transport and great traditional restaurants nearby!

It was a little stuffy in the property, but quickly rectified in our room by using the AC

Albinas Hotel is smack in the middle of the Old City where various touristic sites are within 15-20+ minutes walking distance. So location was amazing for exploring and there are many nice restaurants within 1-20 min walking distance. The 2-bedroom interconnecting room was perfect for the 4 of us (2 adults and 2 kids), beds were comfortable, showers had good pressure and hot water, rooms had heating/aircon/fan depending on your mood, breakfast was decent with many cold mezze & baked goods. There were 3 hot dishes, including eggs, which was all I needed anyway. Coffee and tea were served, so perfect for us as we ate so much the rest of the day anyway so didnt need a heavy breakfast. Kids were happy, so we were happy. The staff are very kind and helpful. We would definitely stay at Albinas again on our next trip to Istanbul!

The location is great as it is only a short walk to the main sightseeing sites, e.g Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Basilica Cistern. We also walked to the Spice Market and the Grand Bazaar as well as the port but if you have mobility issues you can catch the T1 Tram back up the hill. The reception staff were very informative and helped us get the best of our time in Istanbul.

There was some building work going on outside our room but it did not usually start before 8am and ended by 4 so it did not really spoil our holiday as we were out most of the day. The double glazing did a fair job of keeping out the noise if we closed the windows

We stayed 6 nights at Albinas. This is the cleanest place I've ever stayed! The women who do the cleaning and prepare the breakfast do an amazing job. Makbule, who manages the kitchen, is a non-stop machine who whips around simultaneously cleaning promptly and thoroughly, responding to guest needs, and managing her team - and all with enthusiasm and a big smile. The men on reception are always helpful & friendly and provide good advice and recommendations about the sights, transport, food etc. Location is excellent, within walking distance to Hagia Sofia, Blue Mosque, Grand Bazaar etc and to bus and train stops. The area is safe, buzzing, and full of restaurants and tourist amenities. I'd recommend Hotel Albinos Old City and would stay there again.

The rooms are a little small - we stayed in a Superior Double which I initially thought was only a standard room. Beds are double not queen - not an issue for me but some potential guests may want to know this. Overall, however, the accommodation was clean, comfortable and welcoming, in a convenient location with no real downsides to mention.

Staff kindness is EXCEPTIONAL and above. I was in Istanbul alone for the first time. They gave me plenty of good suggestions on activities/restaurants. In general, they were always extremely kind and helpful - both at the reception, and the cleaning ladies. On the last day, hours after the checkout, I had a very bad experience with a taxi driver (not related to this hotel). I contacted the reception of the hotel for help, and they did everything for me: they contacted the taxi agency for me, and they guided me on how to deal with the police. It was not their responsability, and at that point my stay was over, but they still did a lot of job to help me. The position is perfect. The hotel is less than 5 minutes walk from the Blue Mosque, but the area is very quiet - not noisy during the night. The place is overall safe, and I felt safe walking at any time of the day. It is quite close to public transport too. Of course, given the proximity to the mosques, you could hear the muezzin in the morning if you are a light sleeper - but I guess this is true everywhere in Istanbul. I didn't use the room minibar, but the prices are very low - compared to European/USA standards. I got coffee/tea/water for free, and it was enough for me.

All the guys at the front desk were very nice and always helped bring the stroller up and down the stairs. The 2 bedroom family suite we stayed in was exactly what we needed. The view from the terrace was amazing. The location was near perfect... Within 10-15 minutes from every major attraction and within 5 minutes from the Blue Mosque.
