Mehmet and his staff are all wonderful and do a exceptional job. The Lady Chef always had good food and even made Turkish coffee on request. Great location, close to all of the sights and easy to navigate. The rooftop terrace is wonderful, we just need someone to go up there daily to do a cleanup. The house cleaner always was a friendly smile and kept the room clean and left good shampoos and soaps. I left them nice gifts, hope they enjoy. Only negative was the front door was locked on Thursday when I went to check out. No one was in the lobby or on duty ??? I have to check the Istanbul hospitality laws, big time fire hazard, no escape. I had to get to the airport and no escape, doors were all locked. Luckily I was able to lower my suitcase out the lobby window to my taxi driver and then crawl out of the window and jump about ten feet to the street. Scary and dangerous. Overall a good visit to the city of Istanbul and Hotel Coliseum. I will return

What a lovely little hotel with the cutest staff. Especially the breakfast lady. She took care every day of her guests to have fresh varieties of Turkish breakfast. (I had to try everything 😍) The room and the towels were super clean, everything needed was there! Also the design of the little room was great, a huge milk glas window separated the sleeping room to the bathroom. So the whole room was lightened. The big bed was comfy! The location was great right between little Hagia Sophia and the big one. It was quiet and easy to reach. I also felt all time very safe and welcome. Thank’s so much! I would definitely come again!

Everything was great. Maybe the crossbar from the towel holder in the bathroom should be fixed. It would be great to have more coat hangers in the closet. That’s all. It was not a big problem.

Location is perfect for people who want to stay in touristic old center. Cute, cozy, clean. I was alone and my room was small but with 3 windows, interior is very nice, hot water is hot water)). Good mattress and pillows. Cozy kitchen with all necessary for a nice breakfast. And for such price!!! Incredible. Thank you Hotel Coliseum Team.

Very nice hotel, a few steps away of the Blue and Agia Sofia Mosques, close to the T1 tram line that goes in all the important site of the city. Quiet area, althought Istanbul is a vibrant city even at night, we had a confortable sleep all 4 nights. The hotel also provided us with everything we asked extra and transport to the airport. Friendly and respectfull staff.

The rooms are a bit small, but considering we used the room only at night for sleep, it wasnt a problem for us. Also, the breakfast was the same every morning, maybe something new would be nice once in a while.

Handy location for Sultanhamet attractions, just down the hill from Hagia Sofia, Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace museum (5-10 min walk, steeper if you go the short way, easy uphill the long way) and handy for walking through to the famous bazaars (less than a mile). A few restaurants nearby, nothing special, the staff were happy to recommend nearby places and even a delivery take away! Sea view (mostly ships, but still nice) from the room & roof terrace. Breakfast buffet was everything we could need, a mix of salad, cereal & milk, cheeses, pastrami, pastries, crusty bread & jams etc., juices, and a Turkish coffee when you finish. Water, tea, instant coffee always available at reception (no facilities in the room, but you can just nip down the road for a proper coffee/tea). Room was small but big enough and very nicely appointed, lovely decor and had everything we needed: fridge, shower, toilet with bidet (we are definitely installing one of these at home, Croc Dundee eat your heart out), hairdryer, wardrobe, safe, comfy big bed.

Room keys didn't work but the staff soon sorted out replacements. Hot water (shower) takes a few minutes to come through the pipes (301). Noise from the street below, some light traffic & honking, but occasional screaming cats & a barking dog once a night, probably chasing them. Windows weren't very soundproof. Earplugs recommended if you sleep light. Don't forget, you're right in the centre of Istanbul. YMMV.

Very clean, room was cleaned every day, towels changed, water in the fridge also replaced daily. Shower with very nice hot water, u just have to wait a few minutes. Very reliable wi-fi. Breakfast various and plenty! Staff and owner really nice and helpful. I was even allowed to stay after check-out time, as my flight was in the afternoon. There is a small supermarket across the street, also some shops and restaurants nearby. U need to walk on a steep but short hill to get to the UNESCO site which has The Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi palace and the Basilica Cistern.

The hotel staff were wonderful. The bed was so comfortable with fluffy pillows. Excellent breakfast every morning. The female head cook was very caring, always asked if we wanted egg omelette or scrambled eggs for breakfast. We felt so sad to leave. Sultanamet is a wonderful area. The people are great.

Not the fault of the hotel, but we had some electrical problems in the local area. Luckily the hotel had its own generator, although it was just for lights.

Overall, I like everything here. Staff are very friendly, Mehmet especially is very helpful. Location is great, just 5 mins walk away from Sultan Ahmet Square where the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sofia are at. Room was comfortable, clean and bathroom is spacious. They have daily room service and give you fresh towels. And they have a rooftop deck where you can enjoy the beautiful view and sunset overlooking Fatih Pier, and also view of the Blue Mosque. Breakfast is a filling of assortments. Very satisfied! And recommended!

It is hard to say what I liked, for I absolutely loved everything. The room was exceptionally clean. The washroom clean and had hot water. The atmosphere was comfortable. The staff very willing to help. The breakfast delicious and huge. In a crowded area it was a hub of tranquility and calmness. The location was ideal, accessible to all key business and tourist attractions. The cherry on the cake was the owner. There was not a moment when I felt a stranger in the city. He was there to help me with what to eat, how to go around the city and what to shop. Laundry within three hours, affordable SIM, reasonable pick and drop. I can keep.om writing. I have stayed at other hotels, even a Hilton, no one comes close to this one in hospitality and customer care.

The hotel's location is just perfect, 5 min to Blue Mosque and again 5 min to the sea. The staff was so helpful, thanks a lot to Mehmed and all others. Breakfasts are unexpectedly very good. I was a bit afraid of noise from the street into the room but it was fine, and I didn't hear even the neighbores. A/C works well. Room was clearned every day. The bed is comfy, and bathroom as well. Forgot to mention amazing sea view. So great to see it right from the bed. Rooftop is great as well.

I would not just probably recommend it to newly wed couples and corpulent people as Standart room size is really small. It's no problem at all for solo travelers like me.
