We loved how friendly the people were. The staff who work there are beyond friendly and were eager to assist us in getting around Turkey or making wonderful suggestions as to what we could do. A big shoutout to Omer who walked us to the metro in the snow. When we got back to the hotel the staff arranged for us to have tea in our rooms because we had just come from the snow and looked cold. It was everyone who worked there that made our stay worth it. The breakfast was also very flavourful!

Air conditioning switches off automatically every 1-2 hours - in January it was quite cold during the night. The rooms are clean and cozy but not very new, and in some rooms it smells from pipes in the bathroom. Spa (sauna and hamam) is disappointing: we came during the free hours (13:00-19:00) the staff ignored us and didn't navigate us through the place, it was quite dirty around and there were cigarette butts everywhere and a smoking smell, and finally in the sauna we met stuff's outerwear drying!

We recently stayed at this hotel during our family trip and, overall, had a very enjoyable experience. The staff was great - friendly, warm and attentive - offering assistance whenever needed, which made us feel genuinely welcome. The rooms were clean and cosy, as well. The breakfast buffet was good - variety of options, especially appreciated the Turkish coffee that was specially prepared for us. It was a perfect start to our days.

For my personal taste, the location (Fatih, in general) was not the best option to be in Istanbul- a bit too touristy and sometimes loud. That being said, it’s a matter of preference and may suit other travelers perfectly.

The staff especially Oman at the front desk was great and very helpful with the Taxis and he spoke amazing english. It was close to the tram and station. They got us taxis at a better rate than if we had done it ourselves. there was a very efficient lift. There was a good choice at breakfast. It had opening windows, and a great shower

The coffee at breakfast was awful. Dont even think about the spa/sauna or massage this is an epic fail and staff down there are rude. The english description of our room was incorrect, there was no balcony to speak of unless you call something that is 20cm wide a balcony, also the garden view was non existent, it is all street views with the odd pot plant, there are no coffee makers in this hotel just a kettle and the description made it sound like the sauna was in the room. Better english translation of the room would be great.

The staff is very helpful. the hotel put extra effort to warn me regarding scams and accepted payment only at hotel. the room was nice and clean and the hotel is close to bus and tram so it's a good location. breakfast was quite nice.

pls do not use the hammam at the hotel spa, I paid slightly less than outside but it was not worth it. the sauna had clothes hanging to dry! you can find a good hammam in walking distance for a slightly higher price

Just came back from a 6 day trip, and we enjoyed the hotel a lot! The staff are the sweetest people who work hard and are very humble. We had a small discussion about the music, but they fixed it in the best way! Made us some delicious fried eggs 😉 Also the restaurant in the hotel is very good! The waiters are super friendly, and the ambience is great. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. Location is also very good, close to all the attractions but in a quieter area! Would definitely recommend 👌

The location of hotel is right next to the subway, a wonderful area in the center of bustle Fatih and Sultanahmet - the main attractions are within easy reach. The rooms are not new, but they are in perfect condition, with everyday cleaning and fresh water in the room, the staff is very attentive and does not require additional money for their services (I changed my room without additional complaints). The hotel serves a traditional Turkish breakfast, but if you wish, you can have lunch and dinner in the hotel restaurant: the portions are generous, the food is delicious, and the prices are slightly higher than standard. There is also a SPA, however, in the basement: a hammam, a sauna, and a font pool are at your service, for an additional fee: massage and other procedures. I am writing a review about this hotel because there is something to compare with, I stayed with friends at the same time in different hotels located next to each other, and the price-quality ratio is on the side of this particular hotel.

Loud music at night does not even apply to the hotel but can be heard from nearby restaurants. The price for the room stock is slightly inflated, which, however, is fully paid off by the kind attitude of the staff.

Bethowen Hotel exceeded all my expectations! The staff were incredibly welcoming, the rooms were spotless and beautifully designed, and the location was perfect for exploring Istanbul. Breakfast was delicious, with plenty of fresh options every morning. Every detail showed great care and hospitality. I highly recommend Bethowen Hotel and would love to stay again!

The staff, they were kind & always went above and beyond, one member even helped me operate an ATM (atm's in Turkey are difficult for foreigners they ask for QR codes that don't work with foreign accounts). Room was as described & kept clean with water bottles restocked every day, included breakfast had heaps on offer and fruit was very fresh. Very close to the Metro and tourist hotspots like the Spice and Grand Bazaars as well as some of the biggest mosques, the Topkapi palace and the cisterns. It was a fun location to stay in, pre warning this is the Faith district so dress appropriately, I did so out of respect and to cut down some staring from local men. Also the

Hot tip, don't get the organized shuttle from the hotel as it was very expensive and they wanted cash only, you can get them to organize you a taxi which they will happily do. The spa wasn't anywhere nice as the pictures, if you want a proper hammam massage go somewhere else, however if your after a regular massage after a big day, the massage there was good. One thing I really didn't like was there were 2 staff members just sitting around in the spa area, I didn't feel very comfortable being in a bikini with a male staff member there. he didn't do anything, it was just not as private as I would of thought it would be. Also they wanted cash only which is a pain with the atms.
