I am an experienced traveler and a good review is very helpful so I will give my opinion here in order to help travelers choose where to stay. First this hotel is a very good value 3 star hotel. Located well in the suburb called Laleli which is central in the Old Part of Town, literally 10 mins walking to Grand Bazaar or 15 to Aya Sofya and Sultan Ahmet Mosque/Topkapi. 100m rom the hotel there is a metro station that takes one to Taksim (3 stops) or there is a Tram 1 which cuts through Old Town/Sultan Ahmet, via Cirkeci Train Station and Galata Bridge all the way to Dolmabahce station. So location of this hotel is excellent to explore all Istanbul has to offer. As for room, very clean, daily refreshed and bright. There is kettle and tea/coffee as well as small fridge. Cleaners are really thorough and do their job well. We arrived in the evening and met Guleser at the reception and she is 'always smiling' woman who is keen to help and advise. Now breakfast is a reason why one would stay here! I have been to quite a few Istanbul hotels and breakfast is quite a sordid affair, but here when you enter there is variety: fresh tomatoes and cucumbers, olives and herbs, yoghurts breads cheese, eggs fried and boiled, different deli salami, lots of Turkish cheese then every morning chef prepares potage which is such a great way to start your breakfast. And that is not all there are shortbreads brownies fruit for dessert plus coffee/tea, and few different juices to try as well. The breakfast room is kept in perfect order by the waiter Emir (who speaks excellent English and that is not common in Turkey!), and his colleague Dilek, they are so quick to clean and keep the place tidy and fresh, plus help with anything you need, and they Chef Evren who prepares the potage and other delicacies. This is my third stay at this hotel and it is always lovely staying here. It's very safe (we were two women travelling alone). If we have any issues the staff are so helpful. The room service is amazing and efficient. The hotel is always clean and tidy. The staff are always so warm and friendly, especially Ahmed, if I could personally give him 5 stars I would. He was nothing but kind, respectful and helpful all 3 times I have stayed at this hotel. The location of this hotel is also really convenient, you are close to trams, metro and walking distance from most attractions such as the grand bazaar.

Easy to much expensive for what it offers. The ceiling was under repair, the fridge wasn’t working properly and it had a rotten smell, the hairdryer was very old and rusty, with literal rust on it and broken pieces and was working intermittently 30 seconds on, 2 minutes not working so I just gave up drying my hair. The food at breakfast was basically recycled everyday..I found mold in the salad sauce and insects in the salad. The cream cheese was expired. The coffee machine was giving water with a pinch of coffee.. The reception and housekeeping staff were lovely, very nice people, very willing to help. The staff at breakfast we’re looking everyone up and down and talking and laughing behind their backs.

Cosy and clean room. Several restaurants and small shops nearby. Metro station only a short walk away. We arrived before check in time, but the receptionist Ahmet still gave us a room and even invited us to have breakfast. Great service!

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The location is absolutely perfect, making it easy to explore the city. The rooms were spotless, and I appreciated the attention to cleanliness throughout my stay. Breakfasts were delicious, offering a variety of options to start the day right. The staff was incredibly caring and attentive, always ready to assist with any requests. I want to especially thank Ahmet for his exceptional service; he truly went above and beyond to ensure I had a comfortable stay. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area!

The only downside was the internet connection, which was quite slow and unreliable at times. However, this was a minor inconvenience compared to the overall excellent experience.

Her good mood, openees and optimistic attitude gave us a very good stay. She was really helpful in offering us the best suggestions regarding best deal shops, retaurants, and other interested attraction point in Istanbul. She is Very professional in everything she does and I enjoyed even the more staying in the Carlton Hotel Old City. The Carlton Hotel Old City Istanbul offers great quality room, pretty spacious and very clean an cosy. A big thumb up for the breakfast which was very diverse, fresh and very good combinations of taste. The balance between the value and the price is amazing. Its is and it felt as a 4 star hotel. Definitely recommend! Thank you very much. Probably the best hotel experience had in the last time.

I had a wonderful stay at Carlton Hotel Istanbul. The cleanliness was outstanding, and the service provided by Abdulkadir, Ahmet, and Haluk was truly exceptional. They were always attentive, professional, and ready to assist with anything needed. Every aspect of the hotel, from the comfortable rooms to the welcoming atmosphere, exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Istanbul. Looking forward to my next stay!

We had initially booked a triple room and were surprised to find ourselves upgraded to a suite with the help of Ahmet. The rest of the team was more than helpful to accommodate for our large group and made us feel right at home! We would definitely recommend this to all of our friends looking for stellar service, helpful team and overall exceptional hospitality. We would like to thank Azat, Güleser, Abdulkadir, Hamide. We look forward to visiting the Carlton again! Every once in a while you come across a place that welcomes you with open arms and makes sure to go above and beyond for your comfort and experience, this is the place you have all been looking for!

The room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast fresh, many kind of cheeses, vegetables, eggs, sausages, fruits, breads, hot and cold drink and cakes. Carlton Hotel location is excellent in the middle of the city and near the tourism places.I did like the staff[management, receptionists {Adulkadir, Guleser and Mervan}, the restaurant's staff{the chef, Emir, Evren and Dilek}, the cleaner's staff].they are very friendly and helpful.

To be honest with you, I do not have any thing I didn't like it.

The property was in a great location, close to the underground tram and good restaurants nearby too. The staff were friendly and very helpful with Güleser assisting with what ever we needed including booking our next stay. The breakfast was convenient and the daily room services were great also.

There were parts of the room that needed a bit of maintenance but nothing that affected the quality of the stay
