I stay at Germir Palas Hotel most of the time whenever I'm in Istanbul because of its location, which is close to a subway and bus stations, restaurants, souvenir shops, ATM's, money exchange shops, grocery stores and the bus station to and from the airport. The rooms are clean and pleasant. Receptionists are polite and helpful. The room attendants are extremely kind and attentive to the room's needs. Breakfast offers a wide variety of options. I'm not a picky eater, therefore I'm content with what they provide.

I can't think of anything else except that the windows aren't soundproof, and I hear whispers at street level. Sorry, I am a light sleeper.

Our stay at Germir Palas Hotel had several positive aspects. The location is unbeatable, right in front of the famous park in Taksim Square, making it perfect for walking and exploring the area. Transportation options are plentiful and easily accessible, adding to the convenience. The check-in and checkout processes were both smooth and efficient, and the hotel staff were quick to assist with our luggage, which was especially helpful given the pedestrian-only access to the hotel. The breakfast offered a wide variety of delicious, well-cooked options, making for a pleasant start to each day. Additionally, the staff were exceptionally friendly, always smiling and eager to help. Although communication in English was sometimes challenging, tools like Google Translate made it manageable. Once they understood what you needed, the staff—whether it was the room service lady, reception, or breakfast staff—were incredibly helpful and accommodating, going out of their way to assist.

There were a few downsides to our stay, though. Like many hotels in Istanbul, the soundproofing was not great, and we could hear noise from the surrounding rooms, which was a bit disruptive. Additionally, while the hotel offers the option to book tours and attractions, we found that the prices were quite high. It’s much better to explore the many tourist offices around Taksim Square, where you can find more competitive rates. Don’t expect anything luxurious, as it’s a 4-star hotel; however, it offers good value for money and is a solid overall choice with some room for improvement.

the location of the hotel is amazing, and the rooftop breakfast is beautiful.

They are not prepared for any food intolerance, e.g., lactose, gluten, etc. At least lactose-free milk would be great to offer. Also, most of the breakfast contains lactose; as a lactose intolerant person, it was very difficult to eat anything for breakfast. Also, the windows are not so soundproof, our windows were facing the street which was pretty loud, with earplugs I could sleep well.

Beautiful little hotel in the very thick of things--amazing location if you want to do things in Taksim/Cihangir/Beyoğlu and since it is two minutes from the Taksim metro, it works for everything else too! Room was very good too.

Wifi was out for most of my stay. They said the outage was out on the street, so perhaps not their fault, but I nevertheless did not have wifi except on the first evening.

The room was clean, the services were great, the decoration was super, and the location was very good! I would recommend it to others.

Everything was excellent, except for a little problem with the WiFi connection. It was struggling a lot, and connectivity was not stable.

Hi, Location was just right, what exactly I needed. Since I was travelling from airport, i needed the closest hotel to bus station, it took me just 5 minutes to get there with my two luggage. The room was tidy and clean. I very enjoyed facility also breakfast which was fresh all what was required even above. Stuff was very kind and very helpful, I had some stuff that required refrigerator they kindly put them in there for a night, also they helped me with my heavy luggage.

the only concern was that I wish there would be no smoking customers and a good air ventilation system. sometimes their smoke was coming.

Good location within walkable distance to many restaurants and public transportation hub, decent hotel breakfast with plenty of vegetarian options, clean rooms, friendly professional staff, patio outside, some parts of the hotel look old and nice.

Rooms run hot, blankets are too warm, AC works as a tractor so we have been using it only while up. Rooms wear off a bit, but it was expected. The central location means there would be street noise in the night, home prepared with earplugs.

Looks old fashined building at a glance but enough service, equiped, clean, quiet room, running hot water, elevators... those sometiomes not enough availavle in newly developed fashionable hotels Almost the part of Taksim Square, the location is ideal. Metro, fniular and bus access. Small supermarket, ATMs, lots of restaurants and cafes. But it has been quiet at night.

Great location, a very short walk to the airport bus drop off and also the metro. There's a very nice old-school vibe to the hotel that feels authentic despite it being a fairly new building. The room was comfortable with a decent bed and a good walk-in shower. The breakfast was just okay, everything you would need but I would have preferred more hot options.

No option to control the temperature. It was either heating on or off (was uncomfortable when on).

I really liked its art nouveau type of design and worth staying. Facilities were well maintained and clean. It’s right in the heart of Istanbul (Taksim) and was also easy to access from the airport by Havabus. Breakfast at the rooftop was also nice with variety of foods and good view.
