I was booked in the new section of the hotel. It was notable clean. I arrived early morning and the let me checked in (upon availability). The soundproof was superb, I felt as I was the only guest in the floor. What I didn't like someday the cleaning of the room wasn't that good. Finally, the breakfast need to be developed.

great location just off taksim square, room was superb (small balcony overlooking main street) bed super comfy with great pillows and good air conditioning. Bathroom uber modern with toilet with intrgral bidet, room cleaned daily and bottled water supplied and put in fridge in room. clever "smart" lighting and an electronic system to show when you wanted room cleaned or "do not disturb" on the outside of your room. Breakfast was great from salads/cheeses/fruit and cereal all the way to cooked foods including fluffy scrambled eggs and sausages and also a selection of breads/croissants/ a toaster to make toast and some cakes etc - tea/coffee and fruit juices available

The staff is more than helpful and really care about your stay. The room was very clean and quiet. All is new and renovated with an air of luxury a real 4-star. Breakfast is one of the best 5-star with fresh vegetables, tomatoes, fruit, cheese, eggs, omelette, sausages, cured meat variety, olives, soup of the day, Turkish sweets, honey, butter, pancakes,donuts, lokum etc and any other you would expect. The hotel is located 4 mins close to Taxim square where all means of transport are available. WiFi is really efficient. People of Lamartine thank you! Some tips for first time visitors: If someone want to spend most of the time visiting Hagia Sofia, Blue mosque, Basilica Cistern, Topkapi, spice market and Grand bazaar, the Sultan Ahmed area is closer within walking distance. On the other hand, the Taxim area is very safe, more vibrant full of shops, restaurants, pubs and nightlife with buildings of 19th century European architecture and best transport means. Beer and alcohol are not sold at supermarkets, fast food and restaurants. Only some restaurants, hotels and few pubs sell them. Hotel Lamartine serves alcoholic drinks. A tip for those of you visiting Topkapi is that you need at least 6-8 hours to see all, at a steady pace with security checks (not so busy). I think the harem does not deserve the extra time and money. Try to buy skip-the-line tickets for all visits to avoid the queue for tickets but you cannot avoid the security and ticket checking queue. Another tip is that public transport is very good (buses, trams) to go round the city by using your credit card or Istanbul card. Average bus route is 27 Turkish lira. We used Google maps to find schedules and prices of bus routes. Another good idea is to take the boat from Karakoy to visit Prince islands and from Eminonu to go round the Bosporus by taking the tour.

The hotel has a great location, close to Taksim Square, markets, and restaurants. Wi-Fi connection was good. Quiet area during the day. Staff were polite and helpful. Special thanks to Emre Yalçın for his care and support — really appreciated. I was offered a room change to a larger one with a bigger balcony (a room designed for guests with disabilities)! I accepted the switch because the space was better and more comfortable.

The modern building has only one elevator used by both guests and staff. My first room was much smaller than the photos, with a tiny balcony. Towels had an unpleasant smell. The street outside the hotel can be uncomfortable at night. No taxis in front of the hotel — you have to walk to the main road or ask reception to call one.

We recently spent a few nights at Lamartine Hotel in Istanbul and couldn't be happier with our stay. I had an amazing stay at this hotel and can’t recommend it enough! The design and decor were absolutely top-notch—modern, stylish, and clearly crafted by professionals. Every corner of the hotel, from the lobby and restaurant to the rooms, was spotless and perfectly organized at all times. The location was fantastic, making it super easy to explore Istanbul’s historical sites. Superb location, just few minutes walk from Taksim square. Very quiet during the night. Our room was big enough, much bigger than my previous stays in other Istanbul hotels of same category. Utmost professional staff, cleanliness is great, breakfast is nice.

WiFi could be better, coverage and signal strenght is good but sometime is very slow even for basic needs, probably could be solved with better plan from provider. Since for years I'm using data eSIMs for destinations, this doesn't affect my rating.
