The room was a good size for me and my two teenage children. The location was excellent, with many good restaurants nearby and shops. It was also near two tram stations and an easy walk to lots of attractions.

When we arrived my daughter went to look at the Spa and was told she was allowed to use it, but would have to pay extra for treatments. We tried to use it one day but we were told by someone else that the type of room we had booked did not allow spa access. This wasn't clear when we originally booked. It was a little disappointing but we didn't have much time to use the spa anyway, because our days were busy!

*The front of house staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Mr Sinan who went out of his way to help, make suggestions and recommendations. Nothing was too much trouble for him. *The breakfast is a delicious spread of hot and cold foods; a wide selection that's fresh and appetising. *The room and bathroom are spotless, with someone coming in every day. Lovely shower and hot water. *The hotel's location is superb: near a tram stop, near the station, next to Gulhane Park - a haven and green lung, an easy walk to the waterfront; and easy walk to Topkapi, Hagia Sofia and the Blue Mosque.

The whole rooftop is a restaurant area; it would be nice if there was a small seating area where guests could relax without having to have a meal.

The location was perfect! The Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Grand Bazaar, Suleymaniye Mosque, Spice Bazaar, and Galata Bridge are all accessible within a 10–15 minute walk. Eminönü and Karaköy Pier are also just 10 minutes away. The hotel is surrounded by a lively and vibrant area full of restaurants and cafés, but it is situated on a quiet street, which makes it very peaceful at night. The rooms are spacious, clean, and the beds are very comfortable. Air conditioning worked perfectly, which was important since the temperature was over 30°C during the day. Breakfast was good, but it was the same every morning with no variation. Overall, it’s a great place to stay with an excellent location and comfort, just a few small improvements could make it perfect.

The bathroom was a bit small and lacked some essentials (no body lotion, no glass for toothbrush). Also, only two small bottles of water and some black tea/instant coffee sachets were provided on the first night — I think this should be offered every day. Breakfast was good, but it was the same every morning with no variation.

Central location with easy walking access to main sites. Staff very friendly and helpful. The Front Desk Manager helped sort transfer to airport and other hotel booking issues we had. Booking.com is blocked by government from use unless you have a VPN. Food was good with plenty to choose from for breakfast. The dining terrace for evening meals was nice overlooking the park. Room was clean, spacious and hadvd fridge as well as Aircon. Very quiet location at night.

View from room was onto a building site opposite which was a shame. Nothing the hotel can do about this but it should be mentioned in description that room views are not as shown on the listing.

Everything was great! The hotel's location is perfect for a trip to Istanbul, you're close by foot to Sultanahmet square and to different public transports. The surrounding area has many shops, even though they are more expensive as this is a touristy area. It's also super safe to walk around late at night. The room is great and very clean. We were across the building in constructions and it was fine. The breakfast is vast and a great mix of products while including local items. The people at the reception were great and helped us book a last minute taxi to the airport after the public transport access was shut. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Very well located, next to the Gulhane park and within few walking minutes of the Hagia Sophia, Tope Kapi and the blue mosque. All that you need to visit is in a walking distance. The rooms are OK, clean and with good beds. Space is limited for 4 persons, but still acceptable. Rooms are warm.

Breakfast is definitely an area for improvement. It is not very varied for foreigners. If you are into experiencing Turkish breakfast, you will be fine. There are very nice persons in reception and others not so. Some other comments also allude to that. So be careful and find the nice persons. Be careful with tour bookings and prices. The whole tourism sector in Turkey takes advantage of the tourists as much as possible.

It felt like they were doing just enough as required by 4 star hotel. Not trying to go out of the way to make customers feel comfortable.

We were really pleased with our stay We had a wonderful stay in Gulhane Park Hotel THE stay was lovely All staff ( receptionists ,breakfast staff , cleaners ) were very efficient and respected, helpful, supported when needed & and attention was fantastic The staff make you feel like part of their family and give wonderful support in every need .... Located is Great : and very close to the tram station within 4 minutes and many important places within walking distances ... Metro station in the next street 3 minutes walk Gulhane Park is in Place wa clean The breakfast staff were friendly,and the service at the breakfast was fantastic Breakfast with nice variety ...and tasty thank all the hotel members for everything we were very happy in our stay , All thanks to Allah, we were lucky with this hotel We feel like our home Excellent place to stay If Allah will come to Istanbul again, Will definitely come again to this place. inshallah Highly recommendable hotel.

To be honest we Like every thing

We stayed twice (two nights before our cruise, one night after. The rooms were large and well laid out and the bathroom was modern and very clean. The lobby area was comfortable. Everything we wanted to see (Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, Grand Bazaar, Spice bazaar etc) were within easy walking distance. We picked the hotel specifically because it had a roof terrace and because there were Turkish bath facilities on site. The staff were super friendly and helpful - offering us maps and suggesting places to visit.

The view from the room was of a building site, but i guess in a city centre that can't be helped and there was no noise to disturb us. The advertising gave the impression we would be having the price included breakfast on the roof terrace - that was not the case and we would have to pay extra to have breakfast there. After our cruise, the taxi could not find his way to the hotel (said the street was blocked - it wasn't) and we had to drag our cases about half a mile - other cruise guests staying there also had taxi's that dropped them off in another part of Sultanahmet and told them they had walk the rest of the way. I know this is not uncommon for tourists arriving in the old town generally because of heavy traffic issues, but it was quite annoying in 30 degree heat.

So,from where I can start. For you people that you going holidays and you wait to find something to write a bad review first.. The place is not the building or the color of the curtains, or if your bedsheets are not perfect done! You going holidays to relax and feel comfortable like home! Well,that's the perfect spot! The kindness from the people it was exceptional! The service double points ‼️ The cleanliness good and fresh daily 👌 Location very good with metro and tram next to you. Food really yummy. You must visit the restaurant in the terrace!! You have everything you need in front of you! Thank you so much for making my stay here feel like home!! I will definitely come back!
