The place is strategically situated inside historical part of Istanbul and outside of the little stores and local ateliers with shoe and leather making, these parts are very noisy from early morning till late in the evening, but Hotel Global was a perfect spot - one block to the west and it would have been whole other experience an it would have been very noisy from the streets. Another strong point is that the hotel had and elevator, which is a savior in this old part of town, since there are almost no elevators in hotels or guestrooms fpr the exception of more expensive hotel options. We were greated by a very nice man by the name Ahmed who gave us a nice introduction to everything we needed to know about the hotel and surroundings. Inside of the room was nice and clean, it had everything we needed. The bathroom was clean and shower had hot water all the time except for the last day - it was just warm, but overall ok. It is ok for Istabul to have one two-sided bed and one one-sided bed as most of the tourists come with children. This is part of the local culture. The view from the windows was on the inside part and was nothing special, but the view from the roof was pretty good, although it was a bit messy due to the construction materials being on the ladder. All around the hotel you will find tons of restaurants, Turkish delight shops, rugs, shoes, home accessories, convenience stores etc. So that you do not need to worry about the small things in 3-5 minutes walking distance. The hotel was quite new (we came on October of 2022) and everything did not feel exhausted and old.

Nothing much. Although breakfast can be served, it lacks variety and you may not get full and would need to grab a bite some time later. But this is not a minus or something negative. It is just a comment and you need to decide for yourself after tasting it one time. Some noise was heard from the neighboors not only from the same floor, but +/- 1 floor as well. But it was only during time people coming in and out of the rooms. 2-3 minutes and that's it. Overall the place is very quiet due to it's perfect location away from the shops.

The kittens. Clean bathroom. Many attractions within walking distance (but you do have to go up hill). Room cleaning service available. Iron available. They were able to store our luggage on the day we checked out and came to collect them when we were ready to leave. The female member of staff helped us with our luggage to the taxi.

Air con only started working on the third day of our stay due to the central system being in winter mode still. Didn't have a wide variety of breakfast choices. We ate out for breakfast everyday.

Everything was just perfect! Location is great, only 20 minutes walk to Hagia Sofia and Blue Mosque. Nearby you can find many restaurants and bakeries. Public transport is not far away either. Staff was extra nice and the view from upstairs terrase is amazing. The room was really clean and big enough. Room has air condition, kettle, free tea/coffee and shampoons/soaps and is quiet enogh for great sleep. You can't do any better for this price!

Nothing, everything was great!

The location was ideal for visiting the main attractions, including the mosques. However, the area is not the most picturesque, and at night, some streets nearby might feel slightly unsettling. The family hosting us was friendly and helpful, ensuring we had everything we needed. The rooftop terrace offers a view of the surrounding buildings and the sea, a sight we absolutely loved. Overall, considering the price, I don't believe you could find a better option.

While the area has its charm, one downside is the need to climb a hill every day when exploring the town. However, for someone young and active like myself, this wasn't a significant issue.

Hotel Global 2022 is located in a pretty quiet street so we could rest and sleep well. We had a room with a view on church which is opossite of hotel and that was beautiful. Neighborhood maybe looks poor but definetely has a soul 😊 We felt safe all the time, even when we left hotel at 5:30 am (bakeries started to work, people were eating...) We would especially like to praise the staff - guy on the reception who was there always for everything we needed and to recommend us good places and everything we asked for and also woman (his mom, I think) who was very kind and generous. It takes few minutes to the tramway and famous attractions. Also, near hotel there are bakeries, restaurants, stores... that are cheaper than in other places we visited. I higly recommend this place because we felt like home.

Hotel Global 2022 is family run hotel and that fact gives it ambient more common to stay with your family than in a hotel. On the other side, the owners were not annoying and it is up to you if you want to enjoy in that privilege or not. Our hosts were very kind and hospitable trying to help us in every situation. Premises had everything that we needed during our a lot longer than average stay in Istanbul. We could be relaxed like at our home. The price of stay is reasonable and will be friendly to your wallet. Also, I can add that the location will be better in the next period as Istanbul authorities are building new modern tram line to Sirkeci. At the end, without a moment of thinking, I can say that I was sad when had to leave Istanbul and my wonderful hosts. We were enjoying in every minute. Thank you.

Keep in mind that Istanbul is hilly city and be prepared to walk uphill sometime. The same is valid for Kumpaki neighborhood where Hotel Global 2022 is situated.

The hosts were very kind and they always replied to our questions. Nearby there is a car parking, if you are traveling by car. The room was clean and confortable. Hotel is located in Fatih and you can easily arrive at Grand Bazar or SultanAhmet area. In the area there are a lot of restaurants and we eat delicios baklava from TADO shop.

We were not able to connect on Wi-Fi from Android devices, only on IOS was functional.

The hotel is little and cozy. For the cleaning part, I couldn't expect more, everything was good. The hotel looks great and rooms are very good. Another big plus is the staff: very friendly people and really helpful. The location is not that far from Yenikapi metro station, which from there you can get in many places easy; also is pretty close to important landmarks like Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, Grand Bazaar, etc. When I'm coming back, I will come back here. Highly recommend.

Those are smalls thinghs: the staff doesn't know very well English but we could understand each other (besides their son who knows English well). Also don't expect the location to be luxurious, the area being pretty poor but me and my friend (boys) we didn't feel at danger a single time, we felt safe there.

From the price-quality point of view, the room was 10/10. The room was cleaned every time. The bathroom was a bit small, but very clean. The guys from reception were amazing, one night we asked them for some ice, and after the first day, they provided us ice without asking them. We needed iron and they gave us, without extra payment. To wash our clothes, they put us in touch with a dry cleaner very close to the hotel. After our stay, we wanted to stay 2 nights more and even if the hotel was completely booked, they have us their room, and after one night they gave us the room we had before. The people are very kind and every time there for you, in case you need something.

I really enjoyed the cleanliness of the room and the hotel's excellent location. The rooftop terrace and kitchen provided an amazing view. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating.

One major downside was the lack of soundproofing. It was quite noisy, and I could hear a lot of outside noise from my room. The television only had Turkish channels, and it would have been better if they offered a wider selection or even a YouTube option instead. The shower had very slippery tiles, which posed a high risk of slipping. The balcony, while present, wasn't very useful for anything other than drying clothes, as it was surrounded by walls of residential buildings from all sides.
