Agreed to make dinner even after dinner time. Agreed to continue the living even without booking when I had to stay longer.

Problems with wi-fi. No connection for some time several days. Not always there was water in the room. I had to ask for it but housekeepers did not speak any English.

We arrived around midnight and we were welcomed with fresh fruits brought to the room soon after check in. The room was provided with bottled water, tea and coffee. Location was good. There was a swimming pool and spa which we didn’t use. Breakfast was delicious and they had a lot of options. One of the staffs was constantly making omelettes and pancakes in front of us upon requests. We had an early flight back home so we could not stay until the official breakfast hours i.e. 7-10 but they made an exception and let us have breakfast before 7.

No air freshener in the toilet. Also did not get tooth brush and toothpaste so remember to bring your own. They did provide soaps, shampoo, conditioner and body wash though which was nice.

This hotel is in a great location to visit the main attractions of Istanbul, all within walking distance and close to the tram. I do not understand the negative reviews about this hotel, it exceeded my expectations. The hotel was clean, it smelled great and the staff were more than helpful. Our room was a family room which was a great size and was cleaned daily. The breakfast provided everyday was varied and had something for everyone. I would definitely stay in this hotel again and have recommended it to friends. 10/10. Thank you Hotel Venera.

There was nothing to dislike during my 5 day stay. The photographs online do not do this hotel justice, it is far better than the photographs.

We recently stayed at Hotel Venera in Istanbul and had a largely positive experience. Upon arrival, we were delighted to find our room spotless and featuring a splendid view of the sea. The hotel's central location is a major advantage, making it easy to access the city's main tourist areas. The breakfast was another highlight, offering a good variety of tasty options each morning. Although the hotel doesn't offer dedicated parking, this wasn't an issue for us as we didn't arrive by car. Cleanliness was well-maintained throughout our stay, and the reception staff were always eager to assist with any request. Additionally, the reception operates 24 hours a day, contrary to the information on the website, which was a relief since we arrived quite late.

However, there were a couple of minor downsides. We had requested a double bed but were given a room with two single beds. While we were able to push them together, it's something to be aware of, especially if booking late like we did. Also, the breakfast, despite being good overall, had some inconsistencies. There was a special stand for making omelets, eggs, and pancakes on the spot, but it was closed for most of our stay. This limited the breakfast options for those who don't prefer vegetables or sweets. Overall, despite these minor issues, we enjoyed our stay at Hotel Venera and would recommend it for its cleanliness, excellent location, and helpful staff.

- Great Wifi in the room. - Spacious room with secluded seating/ TV area (family room) - Cleanliness - Great location - Helpful Staff

- Air conditioning was great, but every night it would close on its own at random hours. To re-start, staff was to be called to fix it. On one occasion, we were advised to open the windows as the technician will only be available in the morning. - Breakfast was not good at all. Main dishes only included French fries, nuggets, hot dog, boiled eggs and Turkish styled scrambled eggs. The rest were all salads, yogurts and others. Breakfast timing would finish at 10.00AM, however, even at 9.30 AM, only few items remained (re-fill were slow, if at all). Egg counter works only three days a week and that too for minimal timing. On few morning, all that was available was bread with butter.

The location. It was fairly clean.

The beds were not that comfortable, and especially the pillows. We tried going to the pool but the water was too cold. The sauna wasn’t hot enough and no one was tending to it. One of us tried to go into the hamam but we were told it has to be paid extra. The pool area doesn’t look like on the photos at all. The chairs were almost broken. Overall, had a really bad experience at the pool.

The room was clean and very comfortable as we were travelling with children . Breakfast was very nice with a variety. It's on the 8th floor, so you can enjoy the view! The staff there are very friendly and speak English.

We didn't like the fact that there was no trash bin in the room apart from the toilet. Also there was no ramp in the entrance for strollers or wheelchairs, something we noticed in general at the city. The reception desk was friendly and welcoming but very poor English.

I liked everything- the location, the lovely rooms, the food, but mostly the kind and caring and hard working staff at this hotel! I would love to extend my praises to staff in the upper restaurant area for their exceptional service at breakfast-Cansu (always smiling, always polite) and at the dinners for their absolutely outstanding service and attention to detail and passion for customer service to- Mehmet, Melike and the super star waiter Hussein! You all made my stay a wonderful experience, THANK YOU P.s. a heartfelt thanks to Bulent for helping me wrapping my case and always being so cheerful too!

Can’t think of anything other than the prices for massages are a little much at the spa facility compared to other hotels and spas in Istanbul. It’s a little awkward downstairs at the spa with a lady sat there watching you go in and out of sauna and then swim in the tiny pool, it doesn’t seem very private or discreet. Would be nice to have a relaxing music in the background too and not someone watching you constantly or pushing for treatments

I liked that there were flip flops and complimentary bottles of water every day. It was clean and we had fresh towels every day as well. The food was okish. The coffee in the canteen wasn't that good as expected, felt like it is an instant coffee. But there were fresh fruits and some meat options for breakfast. Purchased a thai back massage for EUR 50 for two people, those ladies really know what they are doing. Helped a lot with my upper back pain so I really recommend getting one.

The room didn't have a proper window, the window was facing the interior of the building so no direct sun light nor fresh air. The internet was very, very slow. The dry sauna was for two people only at a time as was very small. The pool was tiny and cold and you needed to buy the swiming caps and it was not worth it in the end.
