Modern, newly renovated place. Great WiFi. Great location. We just walked to all the mosques and palace. It’s really convenient! Love the bathroom amenities! They were really good! 24/7 coffee bar! My husband loves the coffee here. Quick response staff. Comfortable beds, warm showers. Don’t miss the terrace! The view was really amazing! We enjoyed our stay here.

Not really an issue for us but just highlighting for people who might find this an issue. Extremely small room, we can’t open up 2 medium size luggage fully in the room. Only one pretty small lift but it wasn’t very crowded during our stay. We stayed on first floor, can be noisy and you probably can smell the cooking exhaust in the room as the breakfast place is just right downstairs.

This hotel is conveniently located near the train station and is within walking distance to major attractions and food places. It was peaceful and quiet around, and my commute was quite smooth. The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful, the room is spacious and clean, and this small hotel is newly renovated, so everything feels brand-new and fresh. The room was big and the shower room was even posh)) Again, I would like to thank the staff for their willingness to help and address any questions (the guys even were able to talk to the taxi service on my behalf while I was having breakfast). The best part is breakfast. People traveling from countries like the US or Canada will be pleased: a huge variety of food, and you can even order an omelet or other traditional food the kitchen offers. A friendly guy from the front desk even made me some Turkish tea while I was waiting for my omelet. A truly exceptional experience and friendly service: guys go above and beyond. I highly recommend this place and I will keep it in my favorites for Istanbul. Thank you all so much!

Location was super convenient. Walking distance to many main attractions - Sirkeci Station and Gulhane Park was literally next door. The team were super friendly & helpful. The room was fantastic, facing the Bhosphorus Straits.

Normally I don’t write reviews, but this hotel simply deserves an exceptional one! Everything from the room, housekeeping, breakfast to staff was amazing! The location of the hotel is great, Grand Bazar, Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia are in walking distance, train station is very close if you want to explore even more. Breakfast was slightly different every morning with lots of options, they even prepare 4 different kind of eggs just for you if you request. Tea and coffee/chocolate milk are free of charge 24/7! The staff at the hotel deserves so much credit, for making our stay in Istanbul even more pleasant! Feel in love with Istanbul and when we will come back, we will definitely stay at Meg hotel!

Location was perfect , Sirkeci , in the middle of the moving , near all the major Attractions. Hotel had everything what we needed, breakfast was fabulous, coffee, tea and the biscuits all day long, refrigerator, water kettle in the room, every day fresh towels, water, Nescafé, tea bags and complementary toiletries. Receptionists were super friendly, saved our trip with reorganising our reservation due to cancellation of our flight. They made us Turkish coffee in the afternoon, gave us useful Tipps… big "thank you "to all of them. Best value for the money.

There was milde in the shower, and paint peeling in the bathroom…..

The staff where extremely helpful and always willing to provide assistance for you , the hotel is clean and smell good, the location in very quite neighbourhood .

We have asked for king size bed and they gave us two single attached which made very uncomfortable for us sleeping. The food could have more variety since it’s very limited.

The very helpful staff esp Mr Gokalp & Mr Musut. Location was good too. Gulhane Park is beautiful and ideal for daily walks. Very close to Sirkeci tram stop & Topkapi palace. Hotel access by car a little circuitous. Unhelpful Uber driver dropped up on main road near train stain as he didn't want to go a whole circuit to drop us at hotel. We took the largest rooms on 5th floor with balcony and good views. Size was adequate but for what we paid, expected larger rooms. Liked the bathroom though, good sized shower area with sensible kerb which kept the water IN the shower area.

Very small hotel, 17 rooms, lift & corridors were very tight. Insufficient clothes hanging hooks. Balcony could be cleaner. Decor was adequate but quality of furniture could be improved. Glass top of coffee table fell off. Very helpful Musut fixed it with Blu Tack but you get the idea on the quality of the furniture. Paper cups provided in room. They were ok with us bringing 2 China cups up from breakfast area but felt that a hotel should not be providing paper cups.

We booked a family room on the 1st floor, both rooms had queen beds so worked well for our 2 kids. Hotel also provided with a crib for our baby. Kids room had a small TV with only local Turkish channels so kids didn’t really use it. The room doesn’t have a balcony, as it says in the description but everything is same as shown on the photos. The hot ki el had an elevator, although small, but served the purpose. Very quiet street despite being in the busy old town. Breakfast is good and served with fresh local produce. They have option for turkish tea, turkish coffee, coffee dispenser or water. You can order any type of eggs or go with what is on the menu for the day. You can also enjoy drinks all day round and evenings they also keep cookies that kids really enjoyed. Staff are very helpful. I liked hotel’s proximity to nearest tram station as well as railway express, that worked out very well for us. Also 12 mins walk to Aya Sofiya / Blue Mosque. Overall great stay if you want to be in the old town but also have a quick access to public transportation.

Everything! Comfortable bed and room with decent size (they have options for pillows!!) and nice bathroom, great location walkable to most tourist attraction, near 2 metro station n tram, lots of restaurants n cafes nearby, great breakfast with variety in daily menus (every morning you can ask for eggs menus personally cooked for you), tea, coffee, water and cookies or cakes available 24 hours in the lobby And most of all, ALL the staffs are very nice!! Everyone was full of smiles and ready to help you in every way, and all of them can communicate in english!! (after 19 days in Turkiye believe me, this was heaven!) We cannot thank you enough, for Turkiye standard, Meg hotel really excell in every aspects We will definitely stay here again whenever we are in Istanbul

Hotel MEG stands out as a fantastic place to stay - whether you’d call it small or mid-sized, it offers everything you need. The location is excellent, making it easy to explore the city. The staff are polite, welcoming, and genuinely kind. The rooms are clean and well-organized, with daily housekeeping. Breakfast is great - fresh, tasty, and served in a clean and pleasant setting. They also offer complimentary tea and coffee throughout the day, which is a lovely touch. Overall, you feel truly welcome here. That’s what makes all the difference. Highly recommended!
