This place is in a fantastic location near Istiklal Street and offers a reasonable price. The receptionist, who is also the owner, is extremely helpful and always has a smile. I would definitely stay there again next time.

There's no elevators. Also, there is a bar that plays loud music until past midnight. While it's not extremely loud, it might affect light sleepers.

The location is fantastic, with plenty of food options nearby – from street food and local eateries to upscale restaurants. A market just a minute or two away offers fresh produce, snacks, and more. It’s easy to get around: only a 15-minute walk to the T1 tram line and just 2–3 minutes to a bus stop that takes you straight to the city centre. The internet connection was fast and reliable throughout our stay – perfect for both work and streaming. The staff were quick and efficient in responding to queries, and our late check-in (after midnight due to a delayed flight) was handled smoothly. A fun extra – if you need a haircut, there’s a place right across the street, and apparently, some of the hotel staff cut hair too. Amazing! Thank you for a lovely stay.

The apartments are incredibly cozy and stylish, making us feel right at home! The hostesses were exceptionally friendly and kind, always going out of their way to help us with anything we needed. The location couldn't be more perfect. We truly loved every moment of our stay and left with such wonderful memories. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a warm and welcoming experience!

Rare issues with hot water occurred on one day out of ten, and there was a brief problem with the internet connection one evening. There are no microwave ovens in the rooms, but I noticed one available downstairs. Kitchen cutlery is not provided as well as shower gels and so on.

It was neat and clean place to stay.

It has many stairs but no lift.

The proprietors are exceptionally nice and helpful and the location is perfect - just a stones throw from Isticklal Cadessi and a myriad of shops, restaurants and cafes. Everything you could need. The terrace and reception area are really lovely and along with the young couple who own/run the hotel a real bonus. The young lady speaks excellent English and her husband is a great fan of google translate or calling his wife if he has trouble communicating. I will definitely stay here anytime I'm in Istanbul 🤗🤗

The stairs up to the third floor are quite steep and it's a little dark on the landings at night time. It was fine for me but it might be something to take into consideration for anyone with mobility issues.

The staff at New Pera went above and beyond to help me out & accommodate me, the rooms were cleaned often and very nicely, comfortable beds. It's in a lovely street that's really safe and stands out from the rest of Taksim. As a solo female traveller I felt very safe in the area of the hotel and the reception staff (and Koray in particular!!) was always there to help.

My shower had a tiny leak and there wasn't any tea/coffee/cutlery in the room, but these are minor issues that shouldn't deter any travellers.

I recommend this hotel. Very convenient location- it is fashionable to get to any airport by bus or metro. There are many restaurants nearby for every taste and budget. In the lobby of the hotel you will be treated to a very tasty Turkish coffee. Istiklal Street and Taksim Square are just a few steps away. Galata Tower is a 10-minute walk away. For those who love old houses. I had a room with a large terrace above the city. It is very romantic to drink coffee in the center of Istanbul on the terrace. In summer, you can probably sunbathe) .The room has everything you need, tea, water. Spacious bathroom. A comfortable bed. There is no elevator in the hotel and my luggage was brought to my room. Very polite and pleasant staff, excellent price for accommodation in such a convenient location!

I don't know where to start as I have so much gratitude to the owners. In 2 days they became our family. It's just me and my baby girl and I was so anxious about a long connection in Istanbul. I was on a budget and chose New Pera because of good reviews about the safety of the place. This is a small family run hotel. A beautiful young couple who would go the extra mile to help you. We had a large studio. Bed is comfortable, room was very clean. Basic furniture but the layout was very stylish. I didn't cook because there are many restaurants around, we had a take away and had it on the terrace of the coffee shop that these people are running. In the morning the breakfast was amazing and very healthy. A few things that people mention in reviews: Staircase: yes, quite steep but manageable, I was with a three year old, no problem. Hygiene: I saw how determined the owners are about the cleaning the place. I wouldn't worry about it at all. Area and noise: that was my main concern, but during the week it is very quiet. Had no problems with the neighbours either. On weekends apparently can be noisy, but I haven't experienced that. Most importantly is that the owners are the loveliest people who will make you feel at home.

I would love a softer blanket, but this is the matter of preference

Great hotel in the very city centre, warm blankets, clean linen and towels, clean room, and very spacious! For this price I didn’t expect such great combination of location and service! Koray (the owner) is very helpful and friendly! I arrived around 10 p.m. and still checked in without any problem. Thanks very much for this warm welcome, I hope to come back!
