Brilliant location - just minutes from Istiklal yet tucked away in a quiet side street. Nearby (literally around the corner) grocery store for convenience Good accessibility to all parts of Istanbul either by foot or public transport. Places further away will need a taxi though Very attentive and helpful staff, though not obtrusive. If you report a problem the staff try their best to fix issues ASAP There are house rules that ensure noise levels are low in the building at night It's comfortable AC works quickly Small working kitchen with fridge, for convenience. Also had other kitchen goods but we didn't use them Beautiful furniture, comfortable main bed Absolutely smashing view of the Golden Horn Turkish breakfast served in your room Small functional bathroom - good water power in the shower Very good wifi Good value overall

Definitely great for a couple. We had our two young kids with us - they were fine but some might find it a little cramped for 4 (camper and sofa bed) Bathroom is a little cramped (and slightly oddly is adjacent to the kitchen), lighting in there could be better and some things do need urgent attention/maintenance (e.g. shower door) Thankfully there's a lift but just be warned that to get to the very top apartments you'll still need to climb a flight of stairs after the 4th floor - view is worth it though! Not a fault of the place but if poor mobility or if out shape, this particular part of Istanbul is very hilly Rated as 5* on the site and actually the place is highly rated on several other websites too - it is good but it is much more like 4* tbh

Very comfortable apartment with a great view of The Golden Horn and beyond to Sultanahmet. Only about 500m away from the metro. Other transport options were convenient. The apartment is in a very quiet area, no noise at night. There are a couple of supermarkets close by. The entire building is non smoking making it a welcome sanctuary in Istanbul.

Breakfast starts at 9.00 am, and despite breakfast being included in my package, I never once had it. It wasn't a problem as I just bought my own breakfast items. But, the time is impractical for anyone wanting to avoid long lines for attractions.

Big apartment, with kitchen. Service & communication was excellent. Breakfast freshly prepared and brought to the room every morning. Will come back again. Suites are located at Pera & Galata disctrict, which is perfect for shopping, food, drinks, party and the Galata Tower. A few minutes only to the Shishane Metro or bus station to catch a ride to Hagia Sophia, etc.

Our stay at this property was absolutely amazing. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The suite was spotless, beautifully decorated, and equipped with everything we could possibly need. The beds were very comfortable, and the environment was peaceful and relaxing. The location was also ideal: close to shops, restaurants, and local attractions, yet quiet and private. The host was incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay, which made us feel truly at home. They even helped us with‌ last day breakfast when we needed to check out the room at 8 am they make the breakfast ready for us at 7 which is not common hour for serving breakfast.Also owner of property made sure we had everything we needed. We travel a lot, but this experience stood out as one of the best. It’s clear that the hosts truly care about their guests and go above and beyond to make everything perfect. We are so grateful and will definitely be coming back. Highly, highly recommended!

Kind and very helpful Host. Was located 10min away from Istakal Street and Metro station which is great. Close to restaurants, , but away from the noise Has a kitchen and fridge which is helpful Note that this is a Suite and not a hotel so don't expect hotel type facilities.

This is a great place. Their best suite has a spectacular view - just like the Photos. The manger Sam is attentive, charming and really wants to look after the guests. The suite was lovely, clean, larget double bed and the sofa bed in the the living room is actually very comfortable as it open up into 2 single beds. We didnt use the fully equipped kitchen, and Sam is there for you any time you need him. Wi-fi is free and strong, lots of tech in the rooms. There is no restaurant or breakfast room, but you get a generous room service breakfast at the time you prefer. Sam really wants to impress his guests, and he delivers. The location is perfect, in Beyoglu, which is ideal if you want to walk to the main sites of Galata and cross the bridge to the Sultanahmet and the Bazaar.

Everything was awesome

I recently had the pleasure of staying at O'Pera Okanlı Suites in Istanbul with my family, and it was a truly delightful experience. From the moment we arrived, the host's exceptional hospitality was evident. Despite our late arrival, they waited patiently to hand over the key and ensured we were well-settled. Their communication throughout our stay was impeccable, providing clear instructions and assistance whenever needed. The daily breakfast served in our room was a highlight of our stay. Each morning, we were treated to a delicious and varied spread that set us up perfectly for the day ahead. The location of the suites is both safe and charming, providing a peaceful retreat while still being conveniently close to major tourist attractions. Our accommodations were superbly comfortable and clean. The beds were cozy, and the host even provided an extra cot for our child, which was greatly appreciated. We loved spending time on the balcony, enjoying the morning views and planning our day’s adventures. In summary, for anyone seeking a comfortable stay in an excellent location, I highly recommend O'Pera Okanlı Suites. It truly made our visit to Istanbul memorable, and we would definitely choose to stay here again.

Samett the host was very sympathetic, he helped us with anything we asked for. The accommodation is in a beautiful 140 year old building, combining modernity with ancient architecture. It is also within walking distance to the Galata Tower and the bustling streets. But we also walked up to Top Kapi. It's quiet if you're not travelling in Ramadan😁 (because of the traditional Ramadan drummers waking you at 2 a.m.)We recommend this very nice and helpful host and great accommodation to all - you will feel like at home here in this jewel of hotel!

The young owner of this property is justly proud of the work he has done to restore a 19th-century building to a state that appeals to modern travellers. A spacious elevator smoothly delivers guests to the top floor (counting 0 to 4). One is immediately struck by the attention to detail in furnishings like the hand-crafted end tables, whose wooden grain gleams like gold in the afternoon light. The bedroom itself is spacious, while a modern, well-equipped kitchen opens on a view of the Hagia Sophia just across the waters defining the Golden Horn. The larger view of Sultanahmet (the old city) above the rooftops of adjacent buildings includes busy boat traffic from the estuary flowing into the Bosphorous, along with the Suleymaniye Mosque and its twin minarets pointing heavenward (and to the nearby Grand Bazaar). The landscape lingers in the memory long after the visitor has left the scene. Since the property is not a hotel, no one is waiting at reception after 5 pm; late entries are managed by a lock-code. Nor is a property of this class required to have a breakfast room. Even so, a staff member steps off the elevator in the morning, balancing a full Turkish breakfast tray. Guests are left with little more to do than make their own coffee. Back in the bedroom, a 60-inch flat-screen hangs on the wall above a chest of drawers, its programming limited to TV shows in Turkish and to streaming in English (subject to a subscription and password from home). The bathroom is well equipped with a shower that could double as a car-wash, and with toiletries familiar from the best hotels.

Location is the only drawback to this property, the first in the neighbourhood to be restored from decades of neglect. While the building clearly stands out from its neighbours, it remains two steep blocks away from the busy thoroughfare above it with its many restaurants, shops, and bars.
