A hotel in a historic building with very large and spacious rooms. The bed was perfect. There is also a spa.

I very rarely have breakfast in a hotel, I prefer brunch at a restaurant. In this case, I was curious what the breakfast was like, given how the hotel looked I thought it would be different and interesting. Unfortunately, it was very poor in terms of variety. The products were of the lowest quality available in much worse hotels. The bread was dry and hard. And many budget hotels in Istanbul and in the Pera/Beyoglu area have better breakfast. I recommend to change the concept does not fit the vision of the hotel such a breakfast.

Staff was very very helpful, even the non english speaking people at night. Taxi service to the airport - normal pre-booked taxi with a taximeter was amazing, you should request the same for the airport to hotel service, much better and less expensive than the private company.

Hot water not working on the 1st day but it was fixed the 2nd date. The bed was a bit too soft. Breakfast could have more options, especially during the weekend that the hotel is full, they need to fill-up the dishes more quickly and add options.

Good location from where , with a little extra knowledge, you can take a short tube ride then walk to the historical centre of Istanbul (Bazaars, mosques, Topkapi etc). Also it's close to Galata and good shopping areas and restaurants. A touristy area but frequented by lots of locals. This hotel has something special about it, it's not your usual international style hotel. Good breakfast in a dining area with great views over the Golden Horn.

some external noise at night; there seems to be a nightclub nearby so our room was noisier than we would have liked.

The hotel has a nice atmosphere to it and the location is excellent and close to transit lines. I had no issues reaching my different destinations. The staff were friendly and helpful especially Murad and the front desk staff. The restaurant manager gives a very nice atmosphere to the breakfast.

The bar on the 7th floor is really loud at night and unfortunately, we could hear it clearly from the second floor even with every window and door closed

Staff were very nice. The room was large and comfortable! Depending on your room (we were level 6) be careful as the roof dips in part of the room near the bed & we bumped our head a few times! We booked very last minute. We did send a couple of messages via booking.com but we didn’t receive a reply. We were concerned because we wanted to make sure we could check in at 2.30am as our flight landed early morning. We had no trouble. It was open & staffed & we were able to go straight to our room & to sleep.

Great room with interesting, high quality furnishing. We loved the location and the rooftop where breakfast is served, with views across the Golden Horn. The staff (especially cleaning and concierge) were all great. The location of the hotel is perfect: walking distance to loads of restaurants, the boats to other parts the city, Istanbul’s best shopping street (Istiklal) and Sultanahmet.

The spa was basic, but met expectations given room rate.

It is not exactly like in the pictures but the room is spacious,comfortable bed,good water pressure in the shower.Breakfast is at the roof with a splendid view of the city. all together great value for the money. but be prepared with noise at night,laughs and music. Turkish people know how to party. If you want a quiet place it is not ideal for you. Be prepared with small change for tips,is turkish custom,everyone expects something. The staff is there for you if you need anything. Location is great for fun and shopping and great restaurants.

Nothing not to like

location is fantastic. lots of good restaurants and bars close by. taxis easily accessible. Dilara from guest relations was just amazing. she went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable. she arranged flexible checkin/ check out, umbrellas on rainy days and shared her list of top sites in Istanbul. Dilara’s happy smiles and can do attitude definitely made the stay pleasant!

decor, slightly old. but had an old world feel

the most amazing part of our trip was the massage and Turkish bath(hamam). If you plan on staying at this hitel then definitely book massage and Turkish bath. It’s a wonderful experience and Saif is an amazing guy who helped us a lot !! The location of the hotel is wonderful, 5 minutes away from Shishane metro station, 15 mns walking to Galata tower. It’s great. The staff is amazing and very very helpful. This is my 4th time staying here and it never disappoints!

when we first received our room there was a smell of cigarettes in the room. We told the bellboy but they just act as if they don’t understand 😂 the smell didn’t stick long because we opened the windows. it happened another time after the room was cleaned… other than that, all great.

Love the hotel and its location and ambiance. I call it my second home in Istanbul its wonderful.
