The location was great being close to restaurants, bars, great cafes and little shops. The hotel host was very kind with quick response times over messenger which is always helpful for a late night check in. Room was comfortable and clean, great for a short stay. Tea station and seating downstairs was also nice touch for a wind down after a big day walking around. Loved the water bottle supply. The host was also helpful in telling us where the extra toilet paper was when we needed a top up.

It was a bit noisy at night, but to be expected in Istanbul. We were here in winter and the room was cold so an extra blanket would have been better. More selection of teas would also be a nice improvement.

Alp being super welcoming and helpful, offering loads of recommendations. Helped me book a haircut, sorted airport transfer taxi at a great price. Super attentive and friendly. We liked that it’s small and personal too, we want the business to be successful! Location was perfect, loud but we didn’t mind. Close to amazing bars and shops. Decor was cool mix of historical atmospheric and random eccentric. Amazing ceilings and brickwork. Beds super comfy. Quiet and efficient air con. Water pressure very good. Free coffee / water.

Furniture in the hall - property might still be a work in progress which is fine given it’s small. Fitted sheets on the bed would be goods as they slipped off, but mattresses and pillows were super comfy.

Starting with the service provided by the lovely and helpful owner and operator -- excellent! We were delayed, had trouble accessing our room (our own fault) and Alp talked us through the process. He recommended excellent places, including a cocktail bar next door, introducing us to the owner. He responded quickly to requests for an extra blanket and offered to move us. Such a lovely and dedicated person! The hotel location couldn't be better: convenient to both sides of the Bosphorus and surrounded by cool, one-off shops and restaurants. The rooms are small but aesthetically pleasing with exposed brick walls and high ceilings. Overall, the value of the price was amazing!

Nothing really -- I will say that this is more like staying at an AirBnB with fewer services than an actual hotel. But the owner is so helpful that we weren't inconvenienced at all.

Fabulous location, love the area with its hip local small cafes, restaurants, and artisan shops. The room was basic but nice, comfortable bed, small bathroom but fine, great shower. Water and coffee available in reception. Very helpful owner, Alp, very nice. Be prepared to party all night on a Saturday night, as nightclubs there are very loud all night long! You might need earplugs. Alp moved me to a quiter room the next day, and the other 3 nights were great. He really did everything possible to make sure I was comfortable. Great value for the price. I would stay here again. Best of luck!

Nobody there when I arrived to help carry suitcases up several flights of steep stairs, so I had to call the owner. He sent someone immediately so that was fine. Some issues with the room, and I had to text and send photos on arrival after a long journey, but again Alp moved me to a clean, quieter room the next day. A stressful start, and couldn't sleep at all that first night, but all got sorted the next day. The rooms need some more places to put things, but Alp knows that, and is still making improvements. All good in the end.

Nice and beautiful room at a good location, only 10 min by foot from Taksim square and Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque are still walkable distance or only a few stops by metro.

The noice on Saturday night from a nearby club (?) was extremely loud, sleeping even with earplugs was impossible. The other nights the room was still fairly noisy from the nearby street but that was bearable, Saturday night it was not. Otherwise the room is quite beautiful but a bit small for three people.

Incredible host! We felt so welcome, I can't thank Vedat enough! Stylish rooms, great shower (temperature and pressure), free unlimited water (very much needed on hot humid days), comfortable bed, warm blanket, TV. The location was exceptional too, just off famous Istiklal Street - food, shopping, entertainment all within reach. Galataport and Galata Tower, trains, buses and ferries all within walking distance, beautiful area to explore Istanbul from.

The rooms need more sound insulation, you can hear very clearly when someone goes up the stairs or is talking loudly on the street. However, it is not a very busy area so it wasn't too noisy most of the time.

Fabulous central location and still felt like a very safe district, close to Italian embassy. The landlord was a very polite/courteous person and keen to address any minor issues we had in a prompt manner.

Could’ve possibly offered continental breakfast, but having said that, there were plenty of other options nearby.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a Roya Rooms and I must say that I was thoroughly impressed with the level of hospitality that was provided. The staff were not only super professional, but also incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to make my stay as comfortable as possible (special Thank to them!). The location of the hotel was also a huge plus point. Being situated near the İstiklal Avenue, Galata Tower and Galataport meant that I was able to easily explore the city and enjoy all that it had to offer. There were also some amazing restaurants in the area, which made dining out a true delight. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a top-notch experience in Istanbul. From the excellent level of service provided by the staff, to the prime location and fantastic dining options nearby, it truly is the perfect place to stay for those looking to explore the city in style.

Nothing to complain about

This is our 2nd time in Istanbul and our first time at Reu de Hotel. From what we hear, it has been renovated. All I can say is; I'll come again. :) The location is great, the staff is welcoming, the room design is nice and clean. Prices are reasonable. Thank you! :)

Very cozy room and friendly and an extremely caring host. But the main thing is location. It is in one of the best areas of the city to hang out, but not overly crowded. Lots of great places for breakfast or night out. A lovely wine bar and a cocktail place next door, 7 min walk from one of the bes places for breakfast and endless coffee places all around.

The location comes with a price of suffering a bit when ordering a taxi in dense traffic. Hopefully, the tram/bus station is 5 minutes downhill. Breakfast at the place - I personally would forgo the breakfast in exchange for a small disount in a price, since the area is crawling with top-grade cafes.
