I was amazed by my experience at Casa de Bava! Our host, Tammam, was absolutely amazing. He took such good care of us and made the entire process smooth and easy from start to finish. Truly the best host I’ve ever encountered. The hotel is in a perfect location, walking distance to Taksim Square, Galata Tower, and several grocery stores, which made everything very convenient. The neighborhood felt very safe, and it has a lively atmosphere .The area stays awake late into the night, so you’ll always find something open or happening nearby. Highly recommend staying here , you won’t be disappointed!

Having stayed in numerous hotels and apartments in Istanbul during my frequent travels, I can confidently say that this apartment is one of the best I've stayed in! It is equipped with everything you could possibly need for a comfortable visit. The location is fantastic, just a few steps away from Istiklal Street and an 8-10 minute walk from Galataport (a modern waterfront development near Karaköy). You'll also find plenty of shops, restaurants, and cafes nearby. Public transport access is convenient as well. The customer service was exceptional, particularly from a gentleman named Tammam, who responded to our queries promptly and efficiently. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the apartment and will undoubtedly return in the future!☺️

The only area that could benefit from some improvement is the shower's water temperature adjustment, which tended to fluctuate between being too hot and too cold. However, this minor issue did not impact our overall stay.😊

We had a fantastic stay at this flat in Istanbul! The apartment was spotless, well-maintained, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay—fresh towels, a hairdryer, an iron, a hold, and even a sponge for the kitchen. The location was perfect, making it easy to explore the city, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our visit. One small thing that could be improved is the addition of a kitchen towel to dry glasses, but this wasn’t a big issue for us. There’s a small dishwasher available, though we didn’t use it as we mostly ate out. Overall, a great experience—we’d definitely stay here again!

We booked two apartments, and our experience was fantastic. The apartments were clean, warm, and exactly as described on the website, which is something I truly appreciate, as not all places live up to their photos. Comfort & Facilities: The beds and pillows were incredibly comfortable, which is very important to me. The beds were also a great size. When we visited, it was cold and snowing, but the rooms were warm and cozy—perfect for winter stays. The water pressure and temperature were good. The building smelled amazing, adding to the overall pleasant experience. A lift is available, which is a great convenience. Location & Noise: The apartments were not facing the main street, so the noise was manageable. The location is fantastic, within walking distance of many cool places and shops. Service & Hospitality: The manager, Tammam, was incredibly helpful, and the staff were professional, kind, and always smiling—something I truly value. Their hospitality made our stay even more enjoyable. Honestly, if you’re looking for a stress-free stay in an amazing location, this is the place to be! I will definitely stay here again.

In the days leading up to our stay, we had excellent comms with the owner - he messaged us giving full info on what to do on arrival - and all messages were replied to very quickly. The one bedroom apartment was a good size, well decorated, with a comfortable bed. The kitchenette was very clean and most of the equipment looked new or hardly used. The owner was on site for most the day each day, and he took time to impress upon us to call on him with any query or if we needed help. The location was great and although the apartment is at most a 10 min stroll away from a busy tourist street, it still felt like we were also amongst "locals" and indeed visited a number of the local cafes and shops. I would like to go back to Istanbul and would deffo stay here again.

The room was excellent - spacious and clean with everything we needed, and a little balcony. The host was very kind and attentive, doing everything he could to help us. The location is mostly nice as it is in a central area that has a mix of tourists and locals, with lots of good cafés and shops. Though it is a steep climb, it is close to the Tophane tram station, which provides easy access to both the sights of Sultanahmet and ferries from Kabataş.

Everything about this hotel was great except the noise. The hotel is on a very busy street that also happens to be right by the center of nightlife for İstanbul teenagers. Every night the area right outside the windows is full of people partying and cars driving by blasting music. It is especially bad on weekends, but even during the week there is noise well into the early morning. While everything else about the hotel was great, if you are a light sleeper or looking for more calm at night, you should probably look for something in a different area.

The accommodation is in a lovely part of Istanbul with interesting shops, cafes etc. The host was brilliant - he met me, showed me everything in the accommodation and then messaged the next day to check all was ok. The accommodation was bigger than I was expecting and had everything you could need - including a dishwasher and washing machine. There are great public transport connections.

This is literally the best accommodation in the neighborhood: very good location, close to the harbour, tram station, Galata port, Taksim and Galata tower. All of it can be accessible by foot which matters when you walk a lot on your holiday. The apartment itself is spacious, nicely decorated, fresh and clean. You can cook here as well if you wish. We were really pleased with our stay at the Be Mate Casa Di Bava as it is a very nice apartment, modern and with all the facilities needed. It is ideally situated for visiting the many sights in Istanbul as it is near Taksim Square and Istiklal Street. The views from the Penthouse were excellent as you could see all uninterrupted sights such as a Galata tower and various light-up mosques. A special thanks to Tammam who went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and helped us with all the requests.

This is our third time in the hotel, and I like it a lot. I everything from the rooms to good location in terms of exploring Istanbul. Really best deal. The personnel is extremely nice and always helpful.

It is NOT the problem of the hotel, however, to everyone who wants to have a proper sleep and rest - just forget about it!!! The noise in the street is insane!!!! So bad! Several clubs and bars are located just near the corner, and they are partying hard all night long. This is just horrible for people living their normal lives around.
