Hotel has good location, Well-preserved historical building, but everything inside works and functions, renovations have been done Very polite staff, you can order an omelette for breakfast like your mother's from a very kind and friendly woman)

this is not a minus for me, just a feature of the hotel: - the internet worked, but a couple of times it was unstable - there is a club nearby, because of which a traffic jam formed under the windows and a lot of cars were listening to loud music - the old air conditioner did not allow it to be turned on in automatic mode or night mode (although maybe I just did not figure it out)

We stayed at this hotel for a full week in early April. The rooms were spacious, very clean, and beautifully furnished with vintage décor — cozy and comfortable. The bed was excellent, and bed linen was changed every two days, which we really appreciated. The hotel’s great location gives easy access to all the highlights of the city, whether on foot or by public transport (metro, tram, or ferry). The staff truly made our stay special — they were friendly, welcoming, attentive, and very professional. I would especially like to mention Emre at the reception, who was always ready to help with advice on where to go and what to see — even better than a tour guide! Also, a special thanks to the lovely Nilo, the polite Murat, and of course, the “cook’s mother,” who prepared delicious snacks and baked goods for breakfast every morning. At this hotel, you truly feel at home — like part of a family. And don’t miss out on their Turkish Hammam experience — just €15/hour for a lot of relaxation and enjoyment, all within the hotel itself. I can only recommend this place to everyone, especially those who love cozy, non-standard boutique hotels. When we return to Istanbul, we’ll definitely stay here again.

The staff was highly welcoming and were always willing to help, whether it was something about the room or the trip itself. They also speak multiple languages. The building is very pretty, and the antique-looking interior is very clean and cosy. The rooms are cleaned daily and have everything you need for a few nights or a long stay of multiple weeks like we had. Breakfast is outstanding, with many things to choose from and friendly kitchen staff. The location is really great for visiting museums, nightlife and cafes, and the main tourist streets with all kinds of shops. They also have a funny orange cat that sleeps often and travels from building to building

There are barely any things that we did not like, only that the great location sometimes "backfires". There are a lot of cars passing by the narrow hotel street, and drivers like to honk often, but it is their driving culture. The nearest club sometimes blasts loud music, but it goes down before midnight

The staff at Faik Pasha Hotel went above and beyond for everything in our stay. They helped us with everything including our laundry and taxi at no cost. In particular, Emre and Nilo anticipated our needs and were very hospitable. Both spoke great English. The room itself was heritage and very lovely. The beds were comfortable, AC worked well and the bathrooms were gorgeous. The hallways were full of character and had a beautiful Ottoman theme. The minibar was complimentary! The staff during breakfast were very attentive and the food was delicious.

One downside was its location for first time tourists. Beyoglu is considered a tourist area with lovely cafes and antique stores. However, for first-time tourists who are interested in the main attractions in the Fatih district, I would recommend staying in Fatih itself. It's only a 5-10 minute tram ride, but it adds up including the walk. Also it's hilly. Faik Pasha Hotel itself was also an uphill 10 minute walk to the main tram line which may not be suitable for some visitors. I had a hard time as my health wasn't the best during the trip. This is not Faik Pasha Hotel's fault though, but more so a general FYI. The second point is if you are put on the top floor, it's 3 flights of stairs with no elevator.

All the staff, whether at the reception desk or helping out with breakfast, were really welcoming and helpful with a good command of English. Breakfast itself was home made, very varied and delicious - apart from a range of pre-prepared dishes, omelettes were cooked fresh for you. Attractive decoration/furnishings throughout A short journey time by frequent tram to the centre of Istanbul (once you'd reached the tram stop).

I think the rooms are perhaps divided between two buildings as other reviews have mentioned there being a lift. There was definitely no lift to the room originally assigned to us and it was up a steep and narrow staircase - though they immediately moved us to a ground floor room when we said this was going to be a problem. But this still left a similar steep and narrow staircase down to the breakfast area - we managed this but anyone with significantly reduced mobility would not have been able to. If not for this we would be giving a score of 10. It was a fair walk to the tram stop to reach the centre of Istanbul (and slightly uphill on the way back!) but the road was lined with a variety of attractive and interesting shops.

It is an excellent botique hotel situated at a perfect location; a 5 minute walk from Istiklal street and also close to Galata and Taksim. Although very close to Istiklal, which is very loud, the minute you walk into the hotel, there is a sense of serenity and quiteness. Not to mention, it's very tastefully furnished and the best part of this hotel is the staff; very very friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants quietness while being close to Istiklal; you will be amazed by the interior and paintings all over the place.

Only one suggestion; the closet area could use some lighting; it gets really dark in the evening.

I had a truly wonderful stay at this hotel! Our room was quiet and cozy. The open buffet breakfast was delicious, with the option to enjoy freshly made omelets and gozleme. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. The location was perfect—just a short walk from the famous İstiklal Caddesi, one of the most iconic and visited avenues in Istanbul. I also loved how the hotel was decorated with beautiful art pieces, adding such a unique and inspiring touch to the atmosphere. It’s a place where comfort meets creativity, and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable, welcoming experience!

It would be wonderful if the bathroom had shampoo and conditioner available, as currently, there is only cleaning foam. It’s just a small suggestion to enhance the guest experience!

The owner has a real comitment to providing a warm stay, with exceptional service. Her staff is an extension of her "family", warm and considerate in an unusually authentic way. For example, they went out of their way to provide us with a room with a balcony and plants, which made us feel so much more comfortable and provided good advice on how to get around Istanbul. Each room is unique, all very clean in good taste. The buffet breakfast is excellent, with plenty of choices daily, particularly for those of us who reall appreciate fresh food with real flavor.

Nothing.

It was my first time visiting Istanbul and the hotel was perfect! I chose the hotel for the beautiful rooms and the wonderful breakfast with typical food. The rooms are in hold buildings restored and decorated with taste, and the breakfast is fantastic if you want to try local food. The streets around the hotel are charming and characteristic but also close to the busy İstiklal Caddesi. All the staff are really nice and kind, ready to help you with suggestions and assist you with any requests. It is the perfect location if you would like to visit the city and stay in a special place.

This place is simply an excellent place to stay. The staff (specifically, Emre, Nilo, Fulya, and Murat) are incredible. In sum, this place's finest resource are the staff who are really friendly & helpful at every turn (Emre will, for instance, supportively warn you about road closures and everything else at the mention of your day's itinerary or pack you a delicious farewell travel snack, without you even asking; Nilo will ensure your coffee is replenished at every turn; Fulya will go out of her way to make your breakfast wholly enjoyable; and Murat will not rest till your room is sparkling clean daily - Simply good people). The other great aspects about this place are the location, the freshness of the breakfast, the cleanliness of the rooms, among others. I would stay here again and again. I would also recommend others to stay here any day!

The Wifi sometimes misbehaved.
