It was my first time in Istanbul, and I was warmly welcomed by Mehmet and Dilara (I call her Abla-big sister) They truly treat and care for you like family, ensuring that you never feel lonely. The room was clean and fully equipped with a TV, private bathroom, and an air conditioner. Also offered a magnificent view of the street. They make delicious turkish tea. The location is convenient close to everything making the stay both practical and budget-friendly. 10/10. I will definitely return to Rodion Hotel when I visit Istanbul again. Istanbul is one of the most beautiful cities in the world and I was truly captivated. Istanbul'u sonsuza kadar seviyorum.

I absolutely loved this place. The staff is incredible and everyone there is super friendly and hospitable. The breakfast is very nice with cheese, olives, bread, ometlet, etc... although it was so filling that I skipped it sometimes to save my appetite to try other meals in the city haha. The room was clean and the AC worked well. I absolutely loved the location too. It's like right on the edge of the touristy area so it had a more local vibe while still keeping the old town feel. It's close to the Eminonu metro and ferries, and it's centrally located in the city in general so I never felt like I had to walk too far to reach anything. Some of the restaurants right next to the hotel are really good and are much cheaper than touristic places.

It's a bit noisy, especially if you are on the first floor of rooms as you can hear outside, the cafe/reception area below, and the call to prayer from a nearby mosque early in the morning that never failed to wake me up haha. But this isn't the fault of the owners, just something to keep in mind.

This hotel provides plain accommodation at a "real" Istanbul neighbourhood which is totally safe, notwithstanding the appearance. Do not expect luxury, but rooms are clean and warm and the value is great, though some renovation works would be welcome. Very helpful host will assist on any matter. Parking for your car can also be arranged. Good turkish breakfast. Many shops and eateries frequented mainly by locals around. A short walking distance to Eminonu. But if you come to Istanbul for "a thousand and one nights"-western-phantasy experience you should look elsewhere.

- The location is perfect for exploring the city on foot, with plenty of shops nearby and in the old neighbourhood full of character. - The owner was incredibly friendly and always happy to chat, making the stay feel even more welcoming. - The place was clean, well-maintained, and as a solo traveler, I felt very safe throughout my stay. - Breakfasts were made from fresh, quality ingredients each morning.

The only thing that could be improved is offering a bit more variety in the breakfast options, as they became a bit repetitive over a 9-day stay.

My stay at the Rodion Hotel was at the end of September. We stayed there for 8 days. I rate the hotel very well, especially because of the fantastic atmosphere created by the owner of the hotel, Mr. Kadir, and the rest of his team. This is a family run hotel with a lovely little restaurant downstairs with tables inside and on the sidewalk. You can eat here very inexpensively: tasty soup for 4-5 euro, traditional Turkish pancakes baked on site, tasty meat with rice and the ubiquitous fresh bread without restrictions. Mr Kadir is a man who takes great care of every detail in the hotel and is actually on call at any time in any matters. Big words of appreciation to Kadir and the entire team. The hotel is small and has several rooms on three floors. It is situated right in the center of old Istanbul. You can feel the traditional Turkish atmosphere all around, fruit sold on the street, lots of cafes, restaurants and shops everywhere. The hotel is actually very cheap and has everything you need, including breakfast included in the price. Very clean rooms, linen change every day - which is rather the domain of 5 * hotels. The room has a fridge, TV, furniture, bathroom with shower. Rooms small, but sufficient for a comfortable sleep. You can hear the Imam singing five times calling for prayer - this is a charming accent of this Muslim city. Within walking distance, there is a huge market where you can buy just about anything. Famous famous monuments nearby (Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia and many others). I recommend it with full conviction, because both the atmosphere of the hotel and the place around it are wonderful, additionally the delightful, still smiling Kadir and restaurant staff complete the rest. We will definitely come back.

Her şey iyiydi. كل شيء كان جيدا Everything was good.

It is a cozy hotel that is worth its price. Especially, we find the staff very helpful and friendly, really caring about the comfortable staying of their guests. The location is fantastic! The hotel is located in the old city of Istanbul within walking distance from the grand market and near the Golden Horn. The rooms were clean and tidy and worth the money I paid. The traditional turkish breakfast was served every morning. I recommend the Rodion Hotel if you want to get the flavor of diverse and authentic Istanbul.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel! The staff was extremely polite, helpful, and genuinely attentive - it made a great impression. The beds were very comfortable, and the breakfasts were hearty and nutritious - more than enough to feel full. When I booked the room on Booking, I didn’t notice that the economy room didn’t have a window. Once I mentioned that I felt uncomfortable staying in a room without one, the staff was very understanding and the next day, as soon as another room became available, they upgraded me to a better room with a window at no extra charge. That was very kind and much appreciated. I’m sure I’ll be coming back to this hotel again!

The helpful staff, the room was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and it was quiet, and I liked the location. Some people might not like being in a more local non-touristic/traditional neighborhood, but I really like that area, with many authentic, local, and cheap places to eat. Also, a nice rooftop space if you want to have a view of Istanbul or sit and dine on your own.

The room had no windows, so even in broad daylight, it was dark, and I think the room had ventilation problem. The breakfast could be better. On the last day, they served an omelet which was really nice. I hope they had offered it on the other days too.

I love places that are simple, clean, and free from extravagance. I have no intention of spending money on unnecessary luxury. Comfort, honesty, sincere hospitality, and cleanliness are the most important factors for me, and having all these at an affordable price is a great advantage. Thanks to Rodion Hotel’s central location, access to essentials like pharmacies and supermarkets is even easier than in many five-star hotels. That’s why I believe the hotel could be managed even better because the price, service quality, and location are truly amazing. In large hotels, just going down to the restaurant can take minutes, whereas here, you are in the heart of the city, with restaurants, cafes, bakeries, and, most importantly, a pharmacy and a supermarket right across the street, visible from your window. For those who want to experience the real Istanbul, Rodion Hotel is undoubtedly the best place to stay. Thank you so much!

Of course, there are many things that should be improved, especially maintenance-wise. However, I learned that the place is a rental, and the landlord is not the kind of person who would allow major changes or repairs. Whatever they do comes out of their own pocket. Given this price range, I can totally understand that there isn't enough budget for that. Additionally, if you are booking a room in this location for such a low price, you don't really have the right to complain about minor issues.

I booked hotel before arrival and wrote message check-in will be late. The owner of hotel Mehmet waited until arrival time and met me personally. He kindly helped with all appearing questions during the stay, which was crucial due to prolonging continuance along with Booking was not working properly in Turkey. The hotel itself is located in historical place of the city with very calm neighborhood in the best place in terms of logistics, by walk 10-20 min to metro stations (Haliç M2 line/ Sirkeci B1 line), 20 min ferry station (Eminönü) and tram station (Eminönü İskele T1 line). It is important to mention that arrival from Istanbul New Airport will need one metro line switch and whole way from Airport station to Haliç station (near to hotel) will take less than 1 hour. On the top there is terrace with nice view to Galata Tower. The famous tourist places as far as the arm can reach: Süleymaniye Mosque, Mısır Çarşısı, Galata Tower, the rest famous places Topkapı Sarayı, Ayasofya and Sultanahmet Mosque will take by walk around 30 min. Hotel proposes classic Turkish breakfast, which can suit both vegetarians and non-vegetarians consisting from eggs, olives and vegetables, bread-rolls with cheese, which is served between 08:30-12:00 o'clock. The room is equipped with electric kettle, refrigerator, table and small cabinet. In the shower you will find shampoo and shower gel, all towels and tiny slippers are provided. The owner and hotel team speak well English, Deutsche, Russian and Turkish languages. The place is recommended for tourists as well as for those who arrive for business due calm and tidy accommodation, Co-Working place (CoBAC WorkSpace) is located nearby.
