the location is great, really quiet and close to the main sights. the room was spacious and beautiful- we even got an upgrade on the first day. the breakfast was tasty and included many options. there’s also a nice terrace with sea view. the staff was really friendly as well! great value for money

our bathroom, even if it was clean, smelled a bit bad (only at times), but we were able to solve the problem by closing the door and the toilet lid. also, our lock had a malfunction so we couldn’t close the door, but it’s wasn’t a big deal since you can’t open it from outside.

The hotel is perfectly located in the heart of the old city, just a few minutes’ walk from both Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque. Despite these minor inconveniences, the hotel’s location and reasonable price make it an excellent choice for anyone looking to explore Istanbul. I highly recommend it for travellers who want easy access to the city’s main attractions without breaking the bank.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel in Istanbul! The room was incredibly spacious, featuring a cozy living area perfect for relaxing and watching TV after a day of exploring. The breakfast was a delightful highlight — not only was it delicious, but there were also plenty of options to choose from. What truly set this place apart, though, was the hospitality. The owner was exceptionally friendly and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. Plus, the location couldn’t be better — right in the heart of the city, just a short walk from the Blue Mosque. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Istanbul!

I choose the hotel mainly because of the good reviews about its cleanliness and I was not disappointed. I’m very particular about cleanliness and was really happy that it met my expectations . it was better than some famous 5 star hotels I stayed in around the world. the atmosphere of the room is comfortable and modern. I loved the vibe and the decor, it’s relaxing. It has a smart system to request house-keeping, smart tv, comfortable beds, kettle, hair dryer, clean modern bathroom and big windows with lots of sunlight. The breakfast was amazing ! My family And I are picky eaters and I was not expecting much but it turned out to be really good ! Healthy and diverse even tho the portions were small for a family of 4 but it’s not so bad. It’s served by a very nice turkish lady and Mr Mücahit (if I remember his name correctly) big shoutout to him, he was really polite, helpful and with great hospitality skills. The hotel is quiet. It’s very close to the centre but it’s in a noiseless family neighborhood. You can sleep peacefully there. close to sultanahmet tram, Hagia Sophia, bus station and taxi can enter the neighborhood. There’s no elevator but the staff help you with the bags. So you don’t really need it. The reception staff need to improve their English language skills. It was really hard to communicate with them. I know in turkey they like to speak their language only but this is the hospitality industry and English is necessary. I had a huge inconvenience on my first day but the owner of the hotel Mr kiyas saved the day. So thank you to him. He made sure my family and I are comfortable throughout our stay. The hotel is cute and cozy and totally in sync with an Istanbul vacation vibe. It’s new, been open for only 2 months so I hope they keep up the cleanliness of the place and furniture and doesn’t go downhill with time because guests tend to ruin things. I will definitely stay there on my next Istanbul vacation.

Everything was perfect. The staff were very friendly and helped us find our way around the city. They informed us about what we needed to know. Staying there was very pleasant because of them and this is difficult to find and priceless. The breakfast was everyday different and it had choices from the most basic to the most diverse. It is 3 minutes from their central square with the Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque. We will really miss the company of the stuff, at night on the roof ,and the hotel cat💜

Large room, shared terrace (on the roof of the building) with a beautiful view on the mosque. The terrace can be used for eating breakfast and for spending your free time. The location was excellent, just a few meters from the city center. The receptionist was very helpful and friendly - he advised on the restaurant, made free coffee for us and made sure that our experience was comfortable.

The hotel was quite close to the " speakers " from which prayers could be heard (Muslims pray several times a day). Nothing terrible, just something to get used to... you have to respect the culture :)

Really nice hotel in Sultanahmet with gorgeous terrace view on the Bosporus. The street is silent but very close to the main sightseeings. Yummy breakfasts with a good variety of dishes. Rooms are clean and look the same as in pictures, wide and comfy bed. The hotel owners are very hospitable and kind, made my mom a surprise dinner on her birthday! Would recommend for sure, excellent impression!

I highly recommend staying at this hotel in Istanbul! The room was clean and had an amazing view that made our stay even more special. My favorite part was definitely the staff, they were incredibly kind, helpful, and always available whenever we needed anything. Their hospitality truly stood out. I also really enjoyed the breakfast, which had a nice variety and was a great way to start the day. Would definitely stay here again!

We had a pleasant stay at Sahar Sultan Hotel. The location is only a 10-minute walk to the major attractions (Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque etc) which was great as we saved on taxi costs since we mostly walked to go around. Our room was cleaned everyday and the staff were very helpful and attentive. The owner Mr. Kiyas and his team were all very friendly and accommodating. We had yummy breakfast brought to our room each morning. (Thanks Mujahit and Seyvim) We are already looking forward to coming back and staying again in this hotel. They told us there will be a restaurant/terrace in a few months so that’s exciting. :)

No elevator but they have staff who can help carry your luggage. The owner told us that they are building the elevator and will be ready in a few months. Wifi was a bit spotty at times (cos we were at the top floor) but was not really an issue

Excellent location. Terrace where you can eat breakfast, or have a beer in the evening, with a view of the sea on one side and old Constantinople on the other (with the Blue Mosque and the dome of the Hagia Sophia visible from afar). Excellent breakfasts. Extremely friendly and helpful owner.

For the first two nights of our stay we were given a room with a sofa bed, which was too short for me. Later we were moved to another room.
