Everyone is friendly, but I have to give a special shout-out to my friend Sam — such a helpful, kind, and genuinely sympathetic person. He really made my stay even better. A very beautiful and quiet hotel located in a strategic location just steps away from the Bosphorus. The hotel is only three minutes away from the tram, bus, and Taksim funikuler stations, and just a five-minute walk from Galata Port, which features a stunning shopping center and a large number of restaurants overlooking the Bosphorus. The best thing about this hotel is that you feel like you’re among family. Mr. Sam and his team are always available and attentive to all our requests. The entire hotel was spotless, and our room was fresh and comfortable. A special mention to Host Sam, who is an exceptional host and truly made our stay unforgettable. He was incredibly nice, welcoming, and attentive—always ready to help and full of great recommendations about the city. Thanks to his local knowledge, we discovered amazing places to eat, visit, and explore that we might have otherwise missed. He really took care of us from start to finish. And we have to mention—they have the best soap for bathing! It smells absolutely delicious and made even a simple shower feel like a treat. From check-in to check-out, everything was smooth, friendly, and professional. We couldn’t have asked for more—highly recommended for anyone visiting Istanbul!

We had a great stay at Union Port. Big thanks to Sam and the team for their great care for the guests. Sam really went above and beyond which made the stay more special. The room was spacious and cozy. With the windows closed it’s quiet which is tough to find in Istanbul. Location is great, you can walk to a lot of tourist places. The Turkish coffee and tea in the hotel was tasty. We would definitely stay again at this hotel. We highly recommend using the transfer the hotel provides from the airports. You can book it for a very fair price and it will safe you a lot of hassle.

I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to Mr. Sam for his exceptional professionalism and care, as well as to all the other amazing staff members. Whenever I needed assistance, they were always there with open arms, constantly checking if I needed anything and even helping me with things beyond their duties. This is truly rare and deeply appreciated. The location is absolutely fantastic, very close to the sea and wonderful attractions, making the stay even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this beautiful hotel to everyone!

The only downside was that when booking different rooms for my family, one of the rooms was in the Annex building, which is a separate building located just 15 seconds away from the hotel. I wasn’t informed about this in advance and had to pay an additional fee to stay next to my family. This was not clarified before booking.

The staff was amazing, especially Sam who made everything possible to make us feel at home. He even walked us to the nearest tram station and showed us how everything worked! Also the location is great and is close to all the transport links you'll need to get around the beautiful city like the bus stop, tram station and ferry for the asian side (all 5 min walk). We needed some assistance with a few other things and the staff were more than happy to help, always very accommodating and always greeted with a smile every single time! I cannot recommend enough. Thank you to the team.

Very minor as the hotel is great value for money but the beds could have been a bit more comfy.

Very accessible - just a few steps away from the tram station. The staff was extremely helpful and even helped us get an istanbulkart which helped us get around the city easily - avoiding both traffic and overpriced taxis. The staff was very hospitable, brought us Turkish tea and coffee whenever we ordered them for free! They also man the desk 24/7 so it’s easy to get help at any time

There was a distinct and strong smell of sewage in the bathroom/room - the staff says this is an Istanbul-wide problem, but this seems a bit hard to believe.

Really nice hotel that is located in a quiet area but in a walking distance to main sightseeings. Staff were incredibly attentive and helped us with all the questions and requests we had. Special thank you goes to Sam, who have been there for us almost any time of the day. Something to be aware of if you have disability or travel with small kids: if you decide to walk to Galata tower, it’s just 25mins away however with a lot of hills and climbing stairs. If this is a challenge for you, consider taking a T1 train which can bring you to most of the historical places.
