I was very surprised and pleased to see every little thing was taken care of .. like there was even cotton buds in our room, the cleaning ladies were all friendly and ours made us smile every day with the towel figures. Even though the staff were all friendly, you should consider learning more English than Dutch, I mean I understand 90 % of your guests are German but I’m a Bulgarian and when I go somewhere abroad, I don’t expect anyone to be talking my language, it’s simple respect to others and their language. So because of the language barrier we often ended up in awkward situations or couldn’t even order simple things, like warm water because it seems no one understands what warm is or cappuccino, for which I received 3 in 1 instant coffee with a lot of water

We really enjoyed the stay with my family. The hotel is nice and has all major amenities one can think of, food was great and diverse, service was good. A lot of people are complaining about the staff not speaking English and while indeed they are more comfortable with German, we didn't experience any issues with speaking only English. It is a great value for money.

This is a minor one and not really related to the hotel: Our room was facing the entertainment area of the hotel next door and it was noisy until late in the night because of the programs running there. Nothing too disturbing, we could sleep but if someone is expecting peace and quietness, the all inclusive concept is not the right one for them.

The location is amazing, there is a private beach with soft sand and calm waters, just a few rocks here and there. The buffet is big and changes everyday. Rooms are spacious and well kept. It cools very fast as well, which is important on hot weather. A good variety of free cocktails and bevarages.

Elevators are always behind at least one step of stairs, which makes very hard for people carrying child trolleys around and making it impossible for disabled people. Staff mostly speaks english, but some only speak german. They have south american birds being paraded around for photos, most of those animals elseshere have their wings clipped to not fly, could be the case here. Doves were used for a magic show. Also we found three cockroaches on the first floor with one inside our room which we had to kill. Too many kids around and not enough chairs by the pool, we had to ask twice for extra chairs, as people reserve the chairs for the whole day by leaving their towel in the morning.

We spent a few days at this resort and overall had a good time. The food was absolutely delicious – it changed every day and we truly enjoyed every meal. One of the highlights of our stay was the free upgrade to a suite with a jacuzzi, which we really appreciated! The room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and had a stunning sea view. The beach, however, is beautiful and well-equipped, and we appreciated the towel service provided by the resort. In short: amazing food, a wonderful room, and a peaceful atmosphere – but not the most exciting place if you're looking for activities or a younger crowd.

The resort itself is nice and well-kept, but we were expecting it to be a bit bigger. There’s only one main outdoor pool, a kids' pool, and an indoor pool – although the indoor one is closed during summer. As a young couple, we felt a bit out of place at times since around 90% of the guests were older adults or families with children, and there wasn’t much to do for younger guests. Even the staff would often speak to us in German, which made sense given that most guests were German.

The hotel was literally a family hotel. There were no staff constantly trying to force you to do something (boat tour, jetski, etc.) or trying to sell you something. The food was very varied and delicious. The location was good.

The guest weight of the hotel appeals more to the elderly. I guess that's why, although the entertainment organization of the hotel was perfect, all entertainment and activities were over around 23.00 in the evening. In addition, there are rocks in some parts of the hotel's sea, but I think this is not a negative that can be said to the hotel management.

Loved this hotel- one of the best we've ever stayed in. Incredibly generous: all-inclusive doesn't usually mean drinks are actually included, but here it is. Cocktails, beer, water, patisserie and ice creams all day! Food quality and choice is exceptional - one day I counted 75 different desserts, not including the fresh fruit choice. Amazing location on beach, massive pool. Superb friendly service. A++++++++++

The hotel next door has loud music late at night, but that's not the fault of Melas Resort hotel.

Food was excellent, plenty of choices with both fresh fruit and cooked options. The hot pre cooked food was sometimes Luke warm - so perhaps this needs attention. All four A'la Carte restaurants were very good, we especially enjoyed the Eastern and Western cuisines. All A'la Carte restaurants are charged at 5 Euro's per person, well worth trying. The hotel staff are very helpful and friendly especially the service staff at beach level restaurant. This really is a great hotel to visit, the amenities are excellent with a beautiful beach a stones throw away. We had room 1302 - fantastic sea view and everything needed to make us very comfortable.

This hotel should introduce no smoking outside areas. Obviously no smoking is implemented inside, but if you are a non smoker you will be disappointed that there are no smoking sections outside. So if you are sunbathing around the pool bar, eating outside at one of the restaurants or watching entertainment you will be effected by smokers. This was the most disappointing issue for us, you just cannot get away from it. The hotel should and could easily allocate an area for non smokers in all outside areas. The WiFi was a little disappointing, struggled at times to receive signal in both our room and on the beach. Needs some boosters!

Everything perfect. Food at Buffet Restaurant was good and varied. Rooms were nice and beach well maintained. Nice little gym, enough chairs everywhere. Decent entertainment programm even in low season. Staff very friendly and helpfull.

Asian theme restaurant is imho really low quality. Please introduce an asian cheff because sadly non of the courses tasted like they should. Sushi very bad. Staff expects people to speak german what feels a bit off.

It was generally a great vacation. The property is clean, well maintained, rooms are spacious. We loved the food and most of the service. Some people mention beach walk and beach rocks as an issue, there were not big problems for our family.

First of all, Wi-fi does not work well, if you plan to check on your work during your stay, it is close to impossible. Other areas for improvements are Spa, disco, i hate to say it but some of the servers attitude needs improvement…

The food was very good and varied, themed evenings with many variations. Very good selection of drinks, practically everything you need - including spirits, cocktails and very good wines. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. Clean room just like in pictures, with daily cleaning service, beach towels changed daily. Large sandy beach, clean, smooth entry into the sea, enough sun loungers. In the evening you can walk on the seafront of Side that passes through the resort.
