You can't beat this location. It is ideal for those getting on or off a cruise ship as well as the ability to wander the entire town of Ushuaia without needing to pay for additional transport. It's not too far up the hill, so reasonable incline consideration (basically one the corner and up half a block from the main street level that runs along the waterfront). EXtremely comfortable clean rooms. The best part: the staff. They have unbelievable patience as they are consistently busy at all hours during the high season, with demands from tourists from all around the world. They handle the requests with patience and grace. They will go out of their way to help you with sightseeing bookings, restaurant reservations, and anything else you need. So glad I chose to stay at Hotel Albatross for some days before my Antarctica expedition.

Absolutely amazing location, just a block or so from the tourist pier to catch all tours AND from the cruise port. Because there were too many ships in port on the day we embarked, we had to check in at a different location, but even so, since we were healthy and not overpacked we could walk there! The hotel is just a block from the main street with all the shops and multiple dining options. The room was large and clean and the bed comfortable. I don't think there could be a better location, especially for a short visit. The breakfast was handy and good, too.

I had to disembark my ship early morning, and the Albatros was kind enough to give me early check in - which I had not previously requested. Location can not be beaten - across the street from the ship pier and right in the middle of downtown Ushuaia. My previous stay had a very noisy room, but this time my room (010) was nice and quiet - no view out the window but a perfectly acceptable trade off to me. The front desk volunteered to call me a taxi upon checkout.

Breakfast was "continental" and unimpressive. Fortunately there are lots of nice cafes within easy walking distance.

The hotel is very conveniently located in the core centre of Ushuaia so it is easy to walk everywhere. It is a very nice hotel with a SPA free to all guests and a gym in the basement. The room was spacious and with all conforts, the breakfast was good and staff very friendly.

My room was not ready at 2pm as excepted even if I arrived at 11pm and was ensured it would be ready.

The property is well maintained, a great location, and good value for the money

The room was SO hot! I went to the front desk the morning after my first nights stay and asked them to turn the heat off in the room. They said that wasn’t possible. I asked for a fan that helped, but the room was way too hot for the summer temperatures. I asked a second time also to have the heat turned off in my room but they didn’t. I think the heat should be turned off when the rooms are so hot.

We paid for 3 nights and have arranged to stay the 4th night included from the cruise after that, all at the same room. All OK with one staff. At the end of 3 days, there was an urgent email saying we have not vacated the room. As we were back at the hotel, we were allowed to stay on but was asked to pay for not vacating the room. After the intervention of another staff, we were free to stay. There should not be this incident.

Very comfortable bed, we slept well. Location close to the cruise terminal and the main shopping drag... no need for transfers other than to the airport. Spa facilities looked good, although we didn't have time to use them. Perfect place for a pre or post cruise. We hired a car to explore the area so free parking was useful.

Our ground floor room was very warm and could only be cooled by opening the window... not perfect on the ground floor.

Overall fantastic hotel. Cozy, the rooms are comfortable and staff was nice. Location is perfect, couldn’t have been better. Breakfast was good, but it was all the same everyday. Wish there had been more options. Other than that it was all very good!

You book this hotel for its location especially if you are going on a cruise. They are very well versed in luggage storage, cruise drop-off points, and in just being super helpful with questions about cruises. Breakfast buffet was amazing, wifi was excellent, and rooms were comfortable. The value for the money was excellent. Front desk staff was helpful and accommodating.

The hotel is on a main street in Ushuaia and you can hear the traffic, noise from your room.

Location was perfect. Walked off my cruise ship directly to the Hotel. The staff who signed me in was helpful and nice.

The 'conditioned air system' didn't seem to work correctly. I turned it on and it stayed the same warm temperature. I ended up opening up the wind wide so I could sleep. It cooled down enough by the time I went to bed that it was comfortable.
