Room: The room was spacious, beautifully designed, and very comfortable. I especially appreciated the cleanliness and attention to detail—everything felt fresh and well-maintained. Location: The hotel is perfectly located. It’s in a quiet and elegant part of the city, yet still within walking distance to key attractions, shops, and restaurants. The surrounding canals added a lot to the charm. Breakfast: The breakfast was good. Overall, it was a truly enjoyable experience, and I’d definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Amsterdam

Honestly, I had a very enjoyable stay overall. If I were to mention one area for improvement, it would be the breakfast. While the quality and service were excellent, the options felt somewhat limited and were repeated daily. A bit more varietyespecially for guests staying multiple nights—would make the experience even better. That said, everything else from the room to the service and location exceeded expectations, and I would gladly return on my next visit to Amsterdam

Perfect location for city centre, mostly 5 star presentation and would definitely be back. The premium roof terrace room was right above Dam street and although a little noisy (not unexpected) from the crowds it provided much humour people watching, dodging bicycles and vehicles. A brilliant view over the rooftops etc and a private place to smoke if you wish. The sound proofing was pretty good when door is slid shut. We liked it!

Not a lot to dislike but a couple of notes to mention; The coffee service at breakfast was slow and had to wait a good while almost finishing your food before the hot drinks arrived, would be easier if you had a self service machine. This has been brought up many times in reviews. The smell of the drains on the terrace was pungent with moss growing all over. Needs a good jet wash and some detergent putting down. And lastly the grout in the shower could easily be cleaned with the right chemical and a brush, that seemed and easy fix but unfortunately has not been done for a while.

The hotel was beautiful throughout, the staff were extremely polite and helpful and the rooms were a good size and nicely appointed. The shower was the best I've ever used in a hotel, and the breakfast was wonderful. Plenty of staff on hand to cater for virtually every requirement, and the hotel were happy to hold out luggage after we checked out. The toiletries provided with the room are the best I've ever experienced, and I have to say the hotel and room etc all oozed class.

I had specifically booked this hotel because it listed air conditioning as one of the room amenities. Yes, it had a form of temperature control, but in contrast to the rest of the hotel, it was rather primitive and basic, and the room was never properly cold. It was quite uncomfortable with daytime temperatures hitting 32°c at one point. Worth bearing this in mind if you're making a booking during a particularly warm spell.

The white room is scamming just make sure to knew all dinner service as they account for it differently depending on your choice Also it’s better to use the deposit amount as it will not make it back before 14 days

The hotel was clean, spacious, and felt very fresh throughout. Check-in and check-out processes were flawless and very smooth, which made a great first and last impression. During our stay, we discovered the beautiful open-air courtyard at the center of the hotel only on our last day. It would have been lovely to enjoy a coffee or a light snack there earlier. We wish the hotel had promoted this hidden gem more visibly.

We were grateful for the room upgrade, thank you very much for the kind gesture. However, it was disappointing that the windows could not be opened, and the view was directly facing another building, very close by. Because of this, we had to keep the curtains closed most of the time, which slightly diminished the room experience. The breakfast room was bright and very enjoyable, creating a pleasant start to the day. However, the breakfast selection itself could be improved — perhaps with more variety or fresher options.

Food was excellent. Both room service and breakfast were very great.

The room was not what we had requested - a double bed room. We were supposedly upgraded to a smaller room with only a queen bed, which is not what we booked. When I complained we were given another very noisy room over a back alley and a kitchen, which kept us up all night. Also, without two beds - only one.

The toilets in the main lobby area were often very dirty. I would not expect this in a 5*hotel.

Everything was amazing but there is bad smell in the room

Centrally located in the Dam, it’s very well connected. Fantastic breakfast, both the variety of the food and the boutique decor. Large lobby and plenty of staff so you don’t have to wait much to be served. In the rooms, the shower amenities were all provided and appear premium. The AC worked well, and we had a lovely view on one of the streets below. Comfortable bed with pillows of different hardness. Small detail but I also liked the pen in the room, you’d mistake it for a Mont Blanc if you didn’t look close enough. We initially booked a twin room and a premium room, but later asked for two connected rooms so they both had to be premium rooms. Huge appreciate to the check-in staff as they offered to upgrade the twin to a premium for free, truly an example of great customer service.

Throughout our stay, both rooms had the unpleasant smell of something like a moldy carpet, although you don’t notice it after you stay there long enough, but it hits you every time you enter the room after an outing. Also don’t like that the bathroom doors don’t have a locking mechanism so they’re never really fully shut for privacy. Not much choice on the menu for room service, as it’s the same food as in the cafe in the lobby. I didn’t get to experience the cafe as when I visited, I was told I had to wait 20+ minutes due to shortages in the kitchen. The Michelin-star restaurant was closed during our visit. Although I enjoyed my time in the gym, it’s a bit small so it feels cramped even when there’s just three people.

The staff were incredibly nice. The lobby and room were well designed. It was a short walk from everything.

The room was noisy. Some things like the shower didn't work very well (the temperature was inexplicably shifting between hot and cold). The breakfast was below average.
