The location is perfect - it was close to absolutely everything we needed and wanted to see. There is a tramline a minute's walk away that will get you to other parts of the city. Many cafes, bars, dining options nearby. The staff were friendly and helpful, the bed was comfortable and good size. Water pressure in the shower just perfect. They offer to keep your suitcases if you arrive early or for a few hours after checkout. There is an option to pay for day use of the room and check out later in the day if you are leaving late at night. The heater was not noisy at all, which is rare and wonderful (I hate loud heaters/ACs that use fans to blow air into the room).

The room was tight, barely any space to unpack the suitcase. Some rooms that face the back yard might have a problem with pigeons being noisy on the roof. Our room faced the street and we could hear the street noise - but it was not too bad given that the hotel is in the very center. The walls are rather thin: our neighbors were loud at 3 am and we could hear everything. The pillows were all very fluffy / full: those who prefer thinner pillows may be uncomfortable. The breakfast was okay, but more options of hot foods would make it much better.

Attentive and responsive staff, including the gentleman who expedited my check-in to the young lady who found me a room for an extra night when my departing flight was cancelled. And the cleaning crew who made sure I had enough coffee and towels.

I wish the windows would stay open because I like some fresh air in the room at bedtime. (They're v. heavy windows, lol.) It doesn't matter how cold it is; I sleep better with some fresh air coming in. Besides: the duvets keep me sufficiently warm, so cold air is not a problem. :—D Anyhow, at bedtime I propped open one or two windows about two centimeters with my shoes, which allowed the fresh air to come in.

Great location - walking distance to most attractions and the main station. Lots of shops and restaurants on the door step. Lively area but room was quiet. Room was a good size and bed was comfortable. Staff were friendly.

Room was light and airy, big bathroom with two shower heads was lovely. Good size room. Breakfast room was nice and small, good continental breakfast - liked the fact the price was inclusive of breakfast. Helpful staff. Very good central location within 10 minutes walk of the station. Having BBC channels on TV was a bonus!

First room checked into, there was a blocked sink in the bathroom, however staff dealt with this speedily and got us a better room. Noise came in from outside due to age of windows and gaps in fitment, however only a problem on the first night. No milk containers in the room to go with free tea/coffee, but staff were happy to provide fresh milk.

The hotel is well located, many restaurants and stores around it. It is close to some tram stops - where you can go to many places quickly. The room had a good size, after managing some furniture it could fit well 2 big suitcases and 2 small ones. The bathroom is big, the water was perfect hot. The room temperature was ok, but it only allowed us to set 24C as the maximum. There's a water refiller at the reception, where they offer sparkling and regular water for free.

The breakfast had mostly industrialized food, nothing seemed fresh. I missed scramble eggs, which is something really common to have. Comparing with the hotels we booked during our trip, this had the worse breakfast options. Regarding the room, the window has a small gap, which was allowing a freezing wind to enter the room, we managed it somehow by using a hand towel. There wasn't a towel heater in the bathroom. Regarding the cleanness, we got shocked when we used or flashlight under the bed - there was a lot of dust there!

The hotel exceeded our expectations given that the brand is quite mid-market at least in the US. However we were pleasantly surprised at how exceptionally clean and comfortable the rooms were. Given the central location of the hotel and it being in a historical building, the rooms were quite spacious for our liking. Our rooms were serviced and re-stocked with amenities every day which we appreciated. Breakfast was more than adequate. Staff was accommodative to our requests. Will definitely return when in the area.

Good location at city center on a small street without much trafic and noise. Safe in the room was big enough fo laptop. Room had a water cooker and instant coffee + tea. Shower cabinet did not leak water on the floor outside. The shower thermostat managed to keep water temperature constant although the water pressure was changing now and then quite a lot. Air conditioning was very quiet. Continental breakfast was good, almost English one. Filter coffee was available in addition to coffee machines at breakfast.

My room was number 330 at the top of the building with some walls sloping and the ceiling above the table at about 170 cm height. The table was about 60 cm wide and thus when sitting near the table I managed to hit my head several times to the ceiling above when standing up, I solved this by pulling the table about 20 cm from the wall so that I was not sitting under the lower part of the ceiling anymore. I suggest that the hotel would get bigger table there. The weather was a bit cold and the bathroom was quite chill in the beginning as the radiator there was not turned on. After turning it on it took few days until the bathroom warmed up.

The breakfast is very poor and as far as I understand, it is not possible to order dinner through room service. I would have used this option even if there are a lot of cafes outside.

It was clean, quiet, and in an excellent location. The bed was very comfortable.

A couple things could have been better-temperature was too hot at night, even though we adjusted the thermostat down. And breakfast (fresh coffee) was not available until 7:00. That was too late if you are an early riser. The instant coffee in the room was NOT good.
