The position fabulous near all the main sights and shopping street. Cafe cosy and good to linger. Room a good size and apart from the pillows very comfortable.

The pillows in a shocking state. Very old and lumpy. My pillow although a clean pillow cover smelled off so I put a clean towel over it. The feature pillows cheap and nasty. For a few Euros you can get something nicer.

Other than the lack of kettle, there was nothing else negative about our stay. The accommodation was easy to find and only a short 10 minute walk from Amsterdam Central Station - trams also run to the hotel every few minutes. The room was super clean, the beds were comfortable and, when it was wet outside, the view from our window meant we could sit and walk the world go by. I will definitely be returning. There was no breakfast in the deal.

The traditional narrow stairs up to the second floor was a bit of a challenge but we just took our time. The serious disappointment was the lack of kettle in the room. Such a shame as everything else was we needed was there.

The location is ideal . Close to the central station and the walking distance to shops and restaurants . Room was on the small side but very clean . Didn’t spend much time in the room anyway.

We were in the 4th floor with 2 large suitcases . The walk up and down with the luggages was difficult . The stairs are tight and narrow . In our room the hook for the shower head was broken so it became a hand held shower . Water temperature wasn’t consistent for the duration of the shower. Made it a little frustrating . Our bathroom door lock was completely missing . I would have preferred a door that could close firmly.

Amazing location , right in the centre of Amsterdam , around the corner from dam square , 10 minutes from the train station , all staff were absolutely lovely , friendly and really accommodating. We also had breakfast and dinner at the hotel on a couple of occasions, the pizzas and full English breakfast were fabulous . We booked the quadruple room for our girls trip , huge room , comfy beds and fresh towels each day . The stairs are steep and not level in places as mentioned in other reviews , but they are really not as bad as everyone had made out and we quickly learnt all Amsterdam building are tall and thin with steep staircases ! We really enjoyed our stay at the corner house and would recommend it to anyone who wants to be in the centre of Amsterdam. Loads of supermarkets close by , bike rentals and close to shops and red light district .

Nothing at all , would stay here again if we returned to Amsterdam

The location was within walking distance to central station and close to a variety of restaurants and shopping.

We were aware that the building didn’t have an elevator, but after a long travel day, lugging our backpacks and luggage up to the fourth floor was a challenge. We had a second stay at the end of our trip and had a room on the second floor which was much better. Also be aware that the building doesn’t have air conditioning, but the rooms were equipped with a small fan.

Great location right in the city centre, staff were friendly and helpful. Good room size. The food options for breakfast and dinner were also good.

No elevator to the 4th floor room and no easy access to the reception from the hotel meaning wanting to do an early check out was stopped by everything being locked up and no apparent way to just leave the room card. Also, only one room card for 2 people was annoying. Parking option was a car park a few hundred meters away with no discount for hotel patrons so not sure why this counts as saying online that the hotel offers parking.

The location is perfect , right behind Dam square and within a short walking distance of everything! The room was better than anticipated, a lot bigger too , very clean and perfect for us a couple , the bathroom was big too and very clean with towels , hairdryer and mini shampoos and shower gels , which was a nice touch . The room was clean and the beds were so comfortable. ( room 15)

The noise outside the hotel was a bit loud, with there being a tram stop right outside , and the restaurant put the tables and chairs away at midnight and then back out before 6am which woke us up . But it wasn’t a major problem for us . Stairs are steep with a suitcase , but again not a major issue as the room and location make up for all of these minor things . No kettle or tea or coffee making facilities, we took our own kettle which solved that problem !

Prime location, very comfortable bedding arrangement, good pressure in the shower, coffee downstairs was great to wake you up to, close to everything & soundproofed.

There were a few issues with the door keys, albeit problems which were eventually overcome, was unsettling and inconvenient. The rooms were also heated which albeit nice for the cold nights not so great for times we had to come back to our room (to change etc) during the hot summer days. The hot water would run out after 3x long showers, had to wait for the water to heat again before the 4th person could shower.

It’s very quaint and cute place. Bed was comfortable, room was clean and staffs were friendly. I was pleasantly surprised as I expected less from this hotel. If you’re not fit to climb any stairs, I’d suggest you request for the rooms on 1st floor or…. just bring your backpack. As in any European country, the staircase is very tiny and steep.

Location was great and beds were comfortable. Short 12 minute walk from central train station or you could take the tram which stops right in front of hotel.

No Elevator and no assistance to carry bags up a narrow, short rung, steep stairs. I'm a size 7 women's shoe and my foot didn't fit on the steps. I had to side step, additionally, we had a room on the front of building and the windows and walls are extremely thin so you hear everything outside and inside the hotel. so don't be loud or every knows your business. My kids are deep sleeps so it didn't bother them.
