This fresh, boutique hotel has a welcoming and pleasant staff which cordially invite you to a refreshed and modern facility. It is located across from a great running area near ward 3 with Trader Joe’s and Starbucks only 3 blocks away. The rooms are nicely appointed and extremely clean.

An unexpected “activity fee” of $35 was charged upon arrival. This should be put in the room price so that guests know the true room rental costs before booking.

Everything was amazing except the bathroom - it was clean and well organized, but the water pressure on the shower head was not great (maybe due to its age? It definitely looked like it was from the 80s or 90s) and the shower pipe was not bolted to the wall properly, and we found 1 ant alive in the sink, though it could have come from anywhere. Otherwise our stay was great, the beds were comfortable, the staff was friendly and our room was well soundproofed. The lobby was also well maintained. We liked the convenience of the small distance of the hotel to the venue we were attending and how easy it was to get to and from there.

Neighborhood was a little industrial and on a very busy road. Not really walking around area, except there is a beautiful park on the Charles River across the highway. Fortunately there was a pedestrian overpass about a block away. Otherwise there are no crosswalks. The hotel itself was fine - the bed extremely comfortable and the room very clean. It could have used a comfortable chair for lounging/reading. The lobby is interesting, very pop culture like, but the seating is comfortable. the Coffee was meh and wasn't available until 6:30 am. That's kind of late for early risers. :)

Busy road, no crosswalks. Parking and drop off area is super tight. Not alot happening in the neighborhood, not so walkable.

Room was clean and spacious, and.beds were super comfy. Nice big tv. Handy to have a small fridge in the room. The breakfast was included and was pretty basic but had everything we needed. Location was a bit far out of the centre and not many restaurants nearby that we found, but there was a big supermarket across the road that was really handy. Overall we had a great stay 🙂

It was quite expensive for what you got, although it was cheaper than other hotels that we looked at in the area. It seems to be expensive generally to stay in Boston! The air conditioning in the room was quite noisy.

Our room was cosy, clean and comfortable. Dining table was very handy. We liked the location: took us no more than 1h to get to any place in Boston by bus and metro, which is a reasonable time for such a big city. Lots of grocery stores within walking distance. Hot breakfast and free parking space were nice bonuses. Overall very good value for the price. Will definitely stay once again.

Sometimes you need to wait for dishes or food replacements during breakfast. But given the space and quantity of people in the hotel the stuff did a good job to organize breakfast.

We loved the decor and individuality. The concept of the food halls was fantastic and in time when they have ironed out the kinks (only been open a week and had the 100% occupancy for the Boston Marathon to content with) the location and ease of getting around was great.

Contradicting myself from the comments in the plus section. The complimentary breakfast was very limited. The first few days it arrived cold but was addressed. We didn’t have US phone so had to wait for help. Also for the drinks they had to have a physical card to link and I only had my Apple Pay.

The property was exceptional. The style, room size and comfort, cleanliness, the staff (Sean is a gem, as are the others!), the breakfast, and the general amenities were all fantastic. Make sure you check out the complimentary drink and nibbles on Friday and Saturday evening!

It’s not a dislike for me, as I didn’t mind the distance to the city centre, but if you want to be in the centre or within walking distance, this isn’t the place for you. You will need to walk to the commuter rail (Boston Landing - 10 mins) if you want to get into the centre, or take one of the regular buses outside the back of the hotel to the T. However, if you want to explore Allston, or Harvard, and don’t mind the short journey into town, then you’re in the right place and you should book this hotel!

Easy free parking, breakfast was decent

“Resort fee” was basically just a way to allow “free” parking

The location was the reason l chose it. I would pick it again regardless.

Clean, comfortable, quiet facility; safe area overlooking the Charles River and the beautiful walkway (playscape and splash pad across the street); free parking and free breakfast. I have visited twice a summer x 3 years; last year the customer service was not up to standards; this year everyone exceeded my expectations! Breakfast is serve yourself...sooo sad they they took away the waffle maker :-( It was nice to have staff member supervising breakfast that spoke English and could answer questions. Good variety of food for breakfast.
