No lock on bathroom door and a light that wouldn’t turn off.

Amazing Hotel, Brand New Renovation! , everything was clean and surpassed my expectations. Modern architecture. However, as an NY native everyone knows East Tremont Is one of the undesirable areas to ever be in, Don’t bring your kids here to walk around, street parking is scarce. This really is a Diamond in the rough, maybe a nice clean place to lay your head really quick BUT not a stay for tourist. first night the corner store downstairs was robbed & two bodegas down 2 people got shot & layed out on the pavement.

The location and facilities met our needs. Location was key for us. Surprising that there are not a few more hotels near here given the proximity to the university, but this is not a tourist area. Staff were very helpful. Room was comfortable and clean. No onsite food but lots of good options nearby. Easy access to buses, not too far from subway. Would recommend for folks comfortable with cities (see cons).

Other guests were rather noisy overnight. Lots of loud talking/yelling in hallway. Soundproofing seemed typical. Excess noise was definitely coming from hall, not through walls. No idea if this is common or if we just got lucky. Otherwise, normal city street noises, which we are used to from living in our own city, and the windows were reasonable for sound dampening. All normal pros and cons for city accommodations.

The room was super clean as shown in the pictures. I chose the Non-smoking room and fulfilled my expectations because it didn’t had any smell. The bathroom was clean. I didn’t had any noise problems. It has many food establishments in the surrounding area. Staff were great. Definitely recommend if you’re not looking to stay in the city.

Not my case but, i think it doesn’t have parking for those who rent a car.

I loved how when i opened the door to the room the first thing i smelled was cleanliness. The room and bathroom was nice and clean. As far as breakfast we walked up the block to the bodega and got a bacon egg and cheese. Everything was in walking distance.

The only thing i didn’t like and I’m not even gone say i didn’t like because it wasn’t even that bad but the room was kinda small.

The room is clean and the AC is helpful amid the hot weather during my stay. Bed is huge for me. I love the room.

There was no light in the bathroom i needed to use my cellphone flashlight because it’s so dark inside. No microwave too.

The cleanness was great! Staff was awesome as usual. The rooms was cozy. Air conditioner definitely works. Yes the neighborhood looks bad but it’s really not. If you mind your business you’ll be fine. It does get loud at times.

I realize there’s are no chairs in the WHOLE HOTEL. Chairs need to be in the rooms. My boyfriend and I have to sit on the toilet if we need to sit down for something. We kept having to turn the air conditioner off and on due to it getting EXTREMELY COLD. There wasn’t a button to turn the air down. It had to be ran full blast. And the blankets on the bed was very thin. Will bring my own next time. The microwave situation I feel is unacceptable for the price that we pay for the room. There is only one microwave in the lobby. None in the rooms. I have to go all the way downstairs to the lobby just to heat up my food. That’s ridiculously!!

The room was very nice, the a/c did what it needed to do in this hot summer weather, the blankets were hard and more like we had curtains for a blanket but other than that it was a good room. Really big and very modern
