In general the property, Staff and Food were Good but it was too Crowded and Conjusted …

I got very bad Experience with a Staff at Reception his name is Ahmed, I had approached him to ask him if I am at weight Place BUT DIDIN’T give me chance to do so as whenever I tried to say something he replied I count money …. While he is doing so was approached with a Lady and he served immediately without any hesitation while I am standing there … I do count this as a Type of Racism … My Enquiry was just to Know if I am at Novotel as it was Reception for Three Hotels .. Was Very Bad Experience …

I have stayed at hotel multiple times. Within the same property, you have Novotel, Adagio and Movenpick, this stay was at Movenpick - I have stayed in them all at they are very good. Great facilities, very good gym, great coffee, and a kids pool a d a perfect adults - private pool, which is a great Sanctuary.

I was ok with all parts of the hotel - its a dry hotel, some westerners may not like that, I find I have my wine when I go out at night. Some feel the hotel is a little far out, its 12 minutes in a taxi to JBR Marina area, but taxis and Ubers are cheap - a good social metric that will resonate with you - everywhere you go a house white, red or rose’ is about AED 60, which is about €15 or £12.50. But you are out of the hussle and noise of the beach area and the difference in the price of the hotel between Novotel JVT and the JBR beach resort area is astronomical. I choose JVT. I can catch a number of Ubers and taxis a day and still be in front.

This is my 4th stay at Novotel JVT and I have been here for about a month, and today I have just extended to stay another fortnight. This is a great hotel, with great staff and facilities. Nothing is a problem and everyone goes out of the way. I stay in a lot of hotels and I highly recommend staying at this one - it is a dry hotel though, but that’s no issue - you always can enjoy a drink when you head out to restaurants. This hotel has an adult pool, has a great Gym and some great cafes on the ground floor - and they are really focused on delivering a cafe quality Australian/NZ style coffee. A shout out to Joe (Kyaw) and Bindu, Kashish, who all make great coffee. So check this hotel out - this week when I return it will be for my 5th time - have a great stay!!!

- Most check in experiences at hotels tend to be mechanical/robotic - BUT Pampha at the reception is incredible - she wasn't just following a script - she was professional, sincere, genuine, friendly - her communication & speed of working is brilliant - throughout my interaction with her Pampha had the most genuine, unforgettable smile - hotels should celebrate & value staff like Pampha! - Spacious room options - Water temperature is good during summer (pool water is very, very cold and unsafe for kids in winter) - I have been visiting every few months for the last 2 years - the splash pad (for our son) is the only reason we come here

- Lifeguards need more training - very grumpy, aggressive & unprofessional - Pool can get very crowded on weekends - Only 1 lift was working on the Saturday evening - took us 25 minutes to get an elevator to reach our waiting taxi (driver was furious)

The room is spacious. Cleanliness is very excellent. The view was fantastic from the top, with a large balcony. Plenty of safe and shaded parking spaces.

In the attached pictures, the bathroom contained a bathtub, but when I arrived I was surprised by a bathroom without a bathtub and completely different from the pictures. I inquired with the employee and he told me that some rooms had it and some did not!! He gave me a choice if I insisted, so there was a room available with a bathtub, but with a normal view, and it was located on a lower floor, and there was no balcony. Of course, I declined the offer and stayed in my room. The children’s pool area was the opposite of what we were excited about. The water was very cold, close to ice, and it was impossible for the children to enjoy and use it at this time of the year. I don’t know why there is no heater.

Alaa from reception needs to work on her interpersonal skills and dealing with guests( to put it mildly) Please train the staff on how to behave with and around guests The housekeeping desk attendant needs to have more coordination with the rest of the staff I called different departments once more than 7 times to get the room cleaned which is a basic thing The operator needs training on how to get guests connected to other departments I also waited from 11 am to 5 am to get a room change

The staff were amazing. Tahil (?) who drove the courtesy bus was exceptional, interesting, polite, courteous and a very safe driver. The gentleman at Reception who first greeted us (and remembered that we were going to my daughter's for New Year) was very very helpful and caring. The gentleman at Reception who wears the blue suit was extremely knowledgeable and provided us with some useful tips and hints. The staff all greeted us with a smile and were always willing to help. The cleanliness of the communal areas was exceptional. Lovely pool. Breakfast was phenomenal as to the buffet evening meal. Although the hotel is a little way from Downtown Dubai, we liked that as it was quiet. We were able to reach places easily, either by catching the courtesy bus or taxis.

The shower was a little tired, no usb plug facility and limited 3-pin sockets. Housekeeping forgot our towels one day and left us with no toilet paper on another occasion.

I was upgraded to a room that had a kitchenette. I wanted a walk-in shower, but got a tub instead. The hotel did listen to my request for a room far away from the elevator. The balcony had a nice view and the bed was very comfortable.

I do not like bathrooms with only tubs. I prefer walk-in showers. The buffet was good, but it needed more protein and carb options. Only local channels are available on the tv, so I do not watch it. I prefer a SMART tv with Netflix, Prime, and Apple TV apps.

We love the hotel facilities and the buffet. Mr. Marwan, the duty manager was very kind and helpful and was very attentive to guests.

Hotel staff, especially the reception team were unprofessional when it comes to dealing with customers. Communication between teams was lacking. In the pool area, you are only allowed to borrow 1 pool towel per person, regardless if your pool towel is already wet or you need extra for your kids. Not very flexible when it comes to guests requests.

- Housekeeping staff are diligent and hardworking. - We come here just for the splash play area for our child. - Appreciated the late closing time of the kids splash area in summer.

- Water temperature is cold (and gets colder even in winter). - Lifeguards need continuous communication training to avoid aggressive body language and voice tone. - Kids Splash area is unshaded so it is unbearable during the day - management should think of a shaded covering (tampolin) for uncovered parts of the kids splash area.
