The cabin itself was beautiful, the location was stunning, nice and quiet but ideal for travelling around to see a variety of other areas. Great inside and outside space and the hosts had catered for all needs. We were used to camping so usually go prepared but we need not have worried. We had a week of excellent weather so made the most of the patio for meals and late evenings in the sunshine. Down beneath the trees is a swinging hammock where we watched a large deer grazing in the field before it caught sight of us and left. Just heavenly to sit and listen to the birds, enjoy the visiting pair of ducks and a squirrel or two. We would love to go back and stay for a little longer next time to make the most of the drive up from Cornwall!

Sadly the pool hall was closed for the duration of our stay due to mechanical issues which was a bit disappointing as we were really looking forward to making the most of this too especially as it was such a hot week. This is however not an issue that the hosts have any control over it is just a bonus having access to this where their property is located.

The cabin was lovely in a beautiful setting, so peaceful. It is fully stocked with anything you could need, a home from home. Really clean and tidy. Owners so considerate and gave really helpful information. Really impressed, would definitely go again.

There was nothing I didn't like.

It was in a beautiful place. Small but everything you needed. It was lovely.

The only thing was there was a smell which we think came from the drains. If you ran the shower it seemed to go away but started to come back by the next day.

Absolutely perfect. When we arrived we were overwhelmed by how gorgeous the cabin was. The photos and description don't do it justice. The welcome pack we received prior to our visit gave us all the information we needed to plan our stay and the directions were spot on (unlike google maps). The welcome pack in the cabin itself was also very useful and much appreciated as was the welcome bottle of fizz. I wish i could rate higher than a 10 as its the best holiday we've ever had, already looking at next availability. Thank you so much for your amazing hospitality.

That we had to come home 😭

Lovely location, felt safe but we had enough privacy that it didn't feel like we were surrounded by other properties. The cabin was really cozy and had everything you could possibly need for a stay. It felt clean and well-maintained, and information was well sign-posted.

No complaints!

secluded and secure for our dog although the stone wall had a gap in it so she jumped over the first day. beds were comfortable and clean and the laundry facilities were excellent

very dark inside. a welcome starter pack of tea/coffee and a pint of milk would have been nice. the lodge had cobwebs in places near the kitchen and crisps under the sofa. the outside benches needed a clean and there werent any cushions for the patio chairs

Everything was perfect couldn't really fault anything, was lovely and quiet tucked away from all the other lodges. Has everything you need including extras and a nice bottle of cava on arrival. Host contacted before hand via email and explained everything in detail including directions.

The decking gets extremely slippery when wet had us over a few times.
