The hotel was in a convenient location on the park and ride bus route. The hotel was delightful and it felt that a lot of thought had been put into the rooms. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. The view from our room was incredible.

Check in is later than a lot of hotels - though staff do run a waiting list for housekeeping. The room we had was at the top of the building, which meant the shower was in an angled part of the ceiling with a beam going across, it made showering a little more challenging, but was not a major issue. The water pressure wasn't brilliant in the shower, but again was acceptable and certainly wouldn't put me off staying again. For the price, it would have been nice to have some level of included light breakfast.

A beautiful, clean and well kept hotel. Maintenance, decoration and general aesthetics of this hotel were perfect if a little warm but the temperatures in the UK had shot up while we were staying. Staff were friendly and seemed to always be someone available in reception. There were a few communal rooms downstairs where you could go and sit.

Travelled with my husband and elderly mother. For us, in our early 70's our small double (room 208) was perfect, on the second floor next to the lift which we couldn't hear at all. For my mum who mobilises with a walker it was not so good. Initially her room had 2 steps to the bathroom, not a good idea in the night and alone. She was changed to 316 BUT from the lift to her room were a couple of places with steps which she couldn't manage alone and bring her walker. She was also not able to open her own door from the inside as the only hand hold was a small Yale lock knob - unfortunately this meant she was unable to leave the room alone.

Breakfast was very nice, it would have been nice to of been offered a Breakfast package as it gets quite expensive over a few days, just nice to have control of your budget. Lovely spacious room with great views of Bath, coffee machine and biscuits made a very comfortable room even better.

Parking was convenient but rather expensive as my original email stated £10 for overnight parking but was told a 50% rise to £15 upon arrival. We asked the desk clerk about the Bath skyline walk, where it was and where to park but he seemed to not to of heard of it, so a bit of local knowledge of attractions would certainly help non locals.

We enjoyed staying at the Lansdown Grove Hotel for 3 nights the staff were helpful and friendly. The restaurant was delightful and the food was delicious especially the breakfast. The room cleaning was exceptional and we were pleased that the hotel had a library/reading room which was comfortable and cosy to read some novels. The hotel is situated on a steep hill which made walking to the town more difficult but the views are breathtaking. Parking was a bit limited but was located close to the hotel. Our only complaint was the temperature of the room at night felt too hot so I would recommend keeping windows open and using the desk fan provided.

The breakfast was fantastic. Value for money, great service. Wonderful that you could choose something cold AND something hot. Bed was comfy, room was clean and it's the little touches like having a box of tissues in the room and a bottle of water, biscuits, tea, coffee and milk that is really nice. Staff were helpful and parking 100% a bonus.

Liked it all. Only downside for some people would be the steep hill, but I enjoy walking and appreciated the challenge. My friends called an uber as they couldn't face the steep hill after walking around the city all day. But that in no way takes away from the fantasticness of the hotel.

The hotel was a 15min downhill walk to town, the reception team were always helpful and accommodating and the hotel was nice overall.

The ceilings were very low in places , particularly in the bathroom where you need to stand to shower , very awkward placement of a beam. My partner is tall and couldn't stand up in the shower normally. We had no water from the shower one day, we had plans to be somewhere so had to go out without a shower, however this was looked into while we were out. When we returned the shower had been fixed but a tap had been left running all day and a rubbish bag was left behind. The bathroom floor wasn't clean, there were a couple of nail clippings spotted on the floor. However, this was a lovely hotel , quiet, and a good walking distance to town. I wouldn't have said this was quite 4* though in my honest opinion.

Clean comfortable room and excellent customer service from staff. Inadequate breakfast, very little variety, whole stay was over priced.

The hotel is run down and decor needs attention. The rooms are not soundproofed and we were kept awake for hours by other noisy guests. We had to move rooms because the 1st room we were allocated was cold, dark and had a musty smell. There was no heating in next room and it was cold, so we asked for a heater. The 1st thing the staff did was look for a radiator when we had already said there was no heating in the room. A oil heater was provided. The dining area was cold. The item choices from the breakfast menu were missing. Late check after an exhausting journey.

Lansdown Grove Hotel was absolutely unbelievable. For the price we paid, I was expecting facilities, and atmosphere similarly "budget appropriate" however, the staff were amazing - the lift was out of action but I knew this upon booking a month in advance, and they helpfully offered to help carry out bags up to our room. We were upgraded free of charge to a City View room which was on the top floor and just incredible - the views really are spectacular. The atmosphere is warm, the decor is tasteful and aesthetically magnificent in places particularly the dining area. Breakfast was appropriately priced and had plenty of alternative options on offer. Cocktails at the hotel bar weren't bad either!

The breakfast was excellent although I would like the option of a latte rather than filter coffee. But lovely food and pleasant service. Our family room was lovely and spacious. Room for all of us. The hotel had been redecorated since we last went and it was a real improvement.

It was a shame there isn’t something to negate the clean air charge as we only parked at the hotel because we had a lot of luggage with the babies and then went back for the park and ride. Cost us £28 to just go 50 yards. Also, I don’t really agree with paying hotel parking when we have paid for a room. This added almost £45 extra to our stay.

Location - Close to Bath centre, although a 15-20 minute walk up a steep hill. The staff did warn us about this & suggested they could arrange a taxi back up the hill if we required one. Food - We had breakfast there both mornings, tasty & filling. They were happy to swap items that were on the menu but we didn't want, for alternatives that we did. Staff - Everyone we encountered was friendly & helpful, just what we wanted.

A minor gripe, but we would have liked a bath in our room. When we mentioned this on checking out we were told they did have rooms with a bath, we'll know to request one next time. Our room, 325, was on the top floor, at the end of a corridor. It was clean, comfortable, & quiet, ideal. Parking was available, & we were able to park after taking our car out for the evening. However, having paid for the parking we would have been a bit miffed if, having gone out & returned later that evening, we had not been able to park. On the positive, we were allowed to leave our car in the car park after checking out, at no additional charge.
