I thought the breakfast and dinner meals were very good. Every staff member was very helpful and friendly. The bed was very comfortable and the room a good size.

The shower was a bit stiff to move and wouldn't stay up the post and the shower head not easy to get in the right position. Otherwise it was a well-appointed bathroom.

A fabulous, grand building. Quirky halls and beautiful tall ceilings. We stayed in a family room (room 219). We had a beautiful bathroom with bath and overhead shower. Big bed - I’d have said bigger than a king size, and a turned out sofa bed. Tea and coffee making facilities, fridge and hairdryer. Everything we needed!

The stress of the parking! Fantastic that the hotel has parking, but feel it could be less stressful with a pre booking system! The previous reviews had us worried and although we got the “last space” (2 more cars squeezed in after us!) we felt we couldn’t move the car for fear of losing the space.

Staff were really friendly and engaging. The hotel was absolutely beautiful and impeccably clean. Food was delicious. The hotel was peaceful even though it was fully booked and it was a really nice relaxed stay

The food and drink prices were a little bit steep. The parking can be difficult. We got a space ok on arrival but went out for the day the next day and we struggled for parking. The hotel description just says parking available at a charge but didn't make clear that there was limited parking and it wasn't guaranteed until after you had already booked the hotel. This information should be clearer at the start

The Lansdown Grove Hotel was a delightfully nice older hotel. The facilities are well-maintained and extremely clean; the lobby bar was inviting and comfortable and the dining room was fabulous. We enjoyed breakfast with our package and it is outstanding- if you have the option to select this, it will not disappoint . There is also on-site parking available for a fee, and this was quite convenient. The entire staff was excellent; very nice, friendly and accommodating to our every inquiry or need. We will definitely stay here again and recommend this lodging option without hesitation.

Great size rooms! Very comfy. Room gets very hot but two fans were provided which was great. Hotel has a very calming feel and never felt busy. Fresh cold water available in the reception area. Wi-Fi also worked very well. Staff also lovely. Great value for money.

Minor things but the bathroom door was sometimes hard to open, had to give it a good pull. The water in the shower didn’t get overly hot either. TV was slightly small so would be nice if it was a bit bigger. The hill is also extremely steep so we got a lot of Ubers, but this is no fault of the hotel and we knew this prior to arrival!

Very comfortable hotel, with great personality in a nice hill overlooking the city of Bath.

The heel which is located is very stepped. Arriving here, carring our bags was a nightmare. I must say, although that the hotel sent us an email warning about the location of the premises and informing us about the options of public transport available to get to the hotel, but I didn’t read it before arriving. Check in starts at 4 o’clock in the afternoon (I don’t know why we have normalized this kind of things like it were acceptable) and I suspect that the room was ready, but this very kind person at the reception didn’t give us the room, so we had to leave our luggage at the hotel and return later.

We stayed at Lansdown Grove Hotel over a long weekend, and was placed in Room 309, which appeared to be the top corner of the building, with city views. The room itself was bigger than we'd expected, but what swept us off our feet was the amazing views from the room itself! With the hotel being located towards the top of the hill, we could easily get a birds-eye view of Bath itself, and it was a joy to look out and watch the local life no matter the time of the day. Cleanliness and the tasteful decor made us feel at home right away, and the double basin sinks in the bathroom was a neat touch for me and the partner. The restaurant downstairs and the garden room was a nice cosy spot when we wanted to stretch our legs a bit. On top of that, there is a lot of onsite car parking, although there's a car parking fee. The hotel is also a short downhill walk to the city centre and super convenient. Would not hesitate to book here again next time we come back to Bath!

Good sized super-king bed - very comfortable. Comfortable room. Very clean. Light and spacious en-suite. Parking easier than expected. Excellent breakfast. Had one evening meal which was very good and good value. Excellent staff. Very quiet. Excellent overall and would stay again if we need a centrally located hotel in Bath. If you intend to walk to the city centre you need to be reasonably fit. There is a very short cut to the Royal Crescent via a footpath opposite the hotel but it is pretty steep. Lansdowne Road is less steep but it's a much longer route. Good hotel - recommended!

The room was lovely, everything you need. Air-con was a plug in version and very noisy. It was needed as the room was so hot. I had a patio room and we left the door open most of the night. (maybe I’d suggest summer bedding ) The staff were lovely and very helpful

We were there 2 nights and paid for the breakfast both days. The breakfast was a let down. The bacon was dried out where they had kept it warm as was the black pudding. The coffee was terrible and from a machine. The juice selection was low quality. I tried the pancakes as I asked if they were home made and told they were . They were terrible! Dried up from being microwaved, not eatable and not home made. They did offer me another breakfast instead but i declined after trying breakfast twice. The croissants were great but you simply cook those from frozen.

It’s a beautiful hotel, just a short walk up from the heart of Bath. And the hotel itself has a sweet bar and presumably restaurant, but we did not dine there or see anyone eating there (as we were in town most of the time). The value felt quite good

The lifts were put in later (it’s a beautiful old building), so you must pull luggage up and down stairs (think up and down multiple times at each corner in the labyrinth hallway(s). The other thing—although they tried their best, it was quite warm when we arrived and no AC. No chance of falling asleep until well after midnight with two fans and a portable floor ac type device running the whole time and windows open.
