The food here is excellent, imaginative, exceedingly well prepared and delicious. The staff are always cheerful and obliging. The atmosphere is friendly with very amiable fellow guests and locals. We have stayed here periodically and always found consistently high standards. Thank you everyone.

Bedroom and Bathroom very spacious, Comfortable, Clean the shower amazing unfortunatly or fortunatly the weather was too hot to try the massive claw foot bath. Nice touches in the bathroom of luxury shampoo shower gel and handwash, In the bedroom daily cake and a tipple good selection of tea coffee and chocolate drinks, a shared Fridge in main hallway for bottled milk, water and fresh fruit daily. We ate in the resturant the first night with the plan of trying different places however the quality of ingrediants and the flavours cooked to perfection changed that plan and we ate there every night Breakfast once again the daily choice and cooking was exceptional The staff all of them without exception where excellent 5 stars from us allthough its in a quite location its just off the A1 it was perfect for tourist places we wanted to visit 25 mins too Holy Island We loved every Min and will definatly recomened and be back Many Thanks Pam and Tony Room 2

We stayed in The Lodge for a long weekend away. It was very clean and the view was lovely. The property was nicely furnished and decorated. The hot tub was a highlight and it was lovely to chill on an evening with a glass of wine. The pub itself had a nice feel to it and it was less than a 10 minute drive to Bamburgh Castle. Would definitely recommend for a couple break away from reality.

Not a lot! It was a great stay! My personal opinion the property could have done with some kitchen roll/holder and wall door stops to prevent damage. Potentially a tall table for the hotub outside, to pop drinks on when you're in it. Also, the lovely touches of cake and bottle of wine, maybe pop a sticker or handwritten note if they're to be enjoyed on you or will be charged for upon check out (more so for the wine).

Hotel in a perfect location, with quick access to both Alnwick and Bamburgh Castle, and there's a bus stop right next to the hotel, making it easy to get around by public transport. The rooms are very nice, with bottled water, coffee, tea, and a coffee machine provided. The bathroom is spacious, with both a shower and a bathtub. The staff are extremely polite—actually, they’re professional and very helpful. Housekeeping is top-notch. They’re like ninjas—you leave the room, and when you return, everything is spotless. The restaurant is excellent. Breakfast is very tasty, and the dishes from the menu are prepared quickly. Dinner was fantastic. The chef deserves five stars. Everyone is friendly, kind, and clearly loves what they do, taking great care of the guests. The bar serves very good drinks. Highly recommended!

We've stayed in many pub hotel rooms over the years and all have been very good but the white swan was exceptionally good and deserves this excellent review, we were greeted by lovely bar staff, and after a couple of drinks and an amazing meal in the restaurant we were shown to our room, large and spotless on the ground floor. A lovely bathroom, a walk-in closet, and a comfy bed. TV, kettle, coffee maker, plenty of plug sockets, tastefully decorated with fresh cheese scones and butter on arrival, and a locally made sherry. I was also surprised by the fridge outside the room with fresh milk, water, and a bowl of fruit for the guests. We stayed for 2 nts, in a rural location its perfect and on our second night we had fresh sponge cake waiting for us. With lovely welcoming staff, beautiful rooms, and first-class chefs, I would definitely recommend this little gem to anyone.

Accommodation was lovely ,clean, comfortable, and very handy for the lovely pub with excellent food. Excellent hottub after a day of exploring. Would definitely come here again and recommend to friends and family.

We could hear the hottub coming on at about 5am. every morning . Could it be changed to a later time?The lady said we could unplug it but we didnt like to as we used the hottub every day.Branches at the back scratching the roof when it was windy.

Pub/Restaurant with 3 rooms. Excellent location. Welcoming hosts, who looked after us so well. They were very attentive with lovely little touches such as cakes in our room each day. A really good shower in a large bathroom.. An extensive menu with wonderful breakfast and dinner. Fantastic value.

There isn't anything that I would say we didn't like. It's only a personal preference that the mattress was quite firm.

A Luxurious Stay at the White Swan Our stay at the White Swan was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were given a warm and friendly welcome. The décor throughout the hotel exudes total luxury, and our room was beautifully designed with a big, comfortable bed and high-quality cotton bedding. The little touches made all the difference—complimentary drinks and homemade cake in the room, a coffee machine, a teapot, and even hot chocolate. The plush dressing gowns added to the indulgence, making our stay even more relaxing. It was also great to see how well they catered to allergies, ensuring a stress-free experience. Dinner in the restaurant was fantastic, with delicious food and a cozy, comfortable atmosphere. Drinks were reasonably priced, and breakfast was just as impressive—a fresh fruit platter followed by a perfectly cooked full English. The location is ideal, just off the A1 and only a few minutes from Bamburgh, with the bonus of onsite parking. Every detail was thoughtfully considered, making this a truly luxurious experience. I would absolutely love to stay here again—thank you for a wonderful visit!

The room was comfortable and the food was amazing.

The only issue we had was at dinner....We were given a table next to the bar ( because we had a dog we weren't allowed in the main restaurant areas) We were basically sitting in the path of everyone ...the bar was busy..people were very very close to us and we felt uncomfortable so left straight after eating. We chose this establishment because it is meant to be dog friendly.....I feel the area we were allowed to go with our dog was not adequate. If you had an area on the perimeter of the restaurant this would really help to keep everyone happy.

At the White Swan, the exceptional cuisine and service is on a level above many five star establishments. The accommodation is comfortable and enhanced by the personal touch of the owners. A daily piece of home made cake under a cloche, waiting for you on your return from exploring the beautiful Northumbrian countryside. There are only three bedrooms available. So if you can't get to stay, book a table for dinner.
