Staff friendly, professional and very helpful. The food was excellent evening meals and breakfast. Bathroom- great shower, towels fluffy, really good products. Fresh milk in the fridge along with complimentary water and drinks to buy. Coffee sachets, caffeinated and decaffeinated. Yea etc. would stay again.

As with other good places we've stayed, no hooks for coats or dressing gowns. No mirror with sockets or for hair styling when drying or makeup stand near a mirror. It was hot so we had the windows open. Unfortunately cigarette smoke drifted into our room from people sat below on benches in so we had to close the window. There was thankfully smaller second window we could open. A fan would have been useful in the hot conditions. We were offered a sheet if too hot.

Both the bedroom and bathroom were large, well equipped ,very clean and serviced daily. The food was freshly cooked and the tempting lunch and evening menus offer a wide choice of meals at a reasonable cost. Breakfast was superb with a buffet selection of cereals, yoghurt and fresh fruit salad available as well as a choice of freshly cooked local produce. The staff were all most helpful, especially Amanda who's local knowledge and guidance was invaluable for our first visit to the area, making our stay most enjoyable.

Certainly! Here's a polished review you could use for 5-Star Experience at The Percy Arms, Chatton We had an amazing stay at The Percy Arms in Chatton. The room we stayed in was absolutely beautiful—spacious, stylish, and immaculately clean, with a bed that was incredibly comfy. The bathroom was truly 5-star, with high-end finishes and thoughtful touches that made it feel luxurious. For our evening meal, we chose the steak and chicken dishes, and both were outstanding. The food was cooked perfectly and packed with flavour. You can really tell that fresh, quality ingredients are used, and the presentation was just as impressive. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our visit, adding to the overall warmth of the experience. We would highly recommend The Percy Arms to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway with excellent food and top-tier accommodation. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!

Second time staying here. Exceptional hotel. The rooms are spotlessly clean and comfortable with generous coffee making facilities and a well stocked mini bar - although, with a great pub downstairs, not sampled! The staff are as friendly as other customers have said - warm and welcoming and always ready to help. The hotel is in a lovely (quiet) village that is also close to the coast and to its major sights. Remarkably dog friendly as well. Highly recommended.

At times, the music from the bar downstairs was a little intrusive.

Lovely country pub. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. Great sized room with comfortable large bed and very powerful shower in ensuite bathroom. Lovely to have a fridge and fresh milk provided for drinks. Great choice at breakfast, good quality ingredients, well cooked. Had a fab evening meal there too one night. Nothing too much trouble. Really enjoyed our stay.

My small criticism is no blind in the bathroom. Felt a bit on show even with the obscure film on the window, especially due to large window facing main street.

- rooms were clean and warm - pub was lovely with great food - drinks were reasonably priced with a large selection - Quick service despite the business of new years eve - well staffed - huge bed which was extremely comfortable - gluten free bread available for breakfast in the morning. Wide range of breakfast options

- the only real downside to our stay was the automatic light in the bathroom. No switch and the dog going in and out of the bathroom all night to cool down meant that the light switched on continuously through the night waking us up and there was nothing we could do about it! - the windows didn't have a safety lock on them preventing them from opening too wide meaning because of the design we weren't able to open them

Chatton is a small village not far from Bamburgh. We chose to stay here as we were visiting Chillingham Castle and the Chillingham cattle the following day. The hotel was comfortable and inviting and the food in the restaurant was good.

The ONLY bugbear was that - although wonderful - the light in the bathroom switched itself on as soon as you went in there - great during the day but not so clever in the middle of the night when the bathroom was needed. Just a little bugbear compared with the good night's sleep in a comfortable bed.

Great little inn.

Couple things that let it down for me was in the room. The fire escape was in the room and although the door was covered by the curtain, the bright green light above it, was uncovered and I really didn’t get much sleep. To make it worse, the vanity mirror was bouncing the green light straight of the bed and so it was double the pain! The other problem was the noise. There is an external fan on the outside which is permanently on! I don’t know if it was a heating/cooling unit or the kitchen extractor but it went on aaaall night. I thought everything else was great but when you’re sleeping at a hotel/inn, the main thing you want is ‘sleep’ and I got absolutely none sadly.

Very friendly and helpful staff. The room was lovely. The bar with the fireplace made it just perfect. We asked for two single beds but when we were shown to the room, it was made up as a double. The girl knew straight away that this wasn't what we had asked for and said she would fix it asking us to wait in the bar. When we ordered drinks in the bar, we were told that they were in the house. We also had a problem getting Netflix etc to work even although the TV in the room was connected to the internet and they came up and helped us sort it. Nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was great too. Would highly recommend. There is free parking on the street if the hotel car park is full. Loved it!

The bed was a bit firm for me so I didn't sleep great but that's just a personal thing for me, not the hotel's fault at all.

Room was fantastic. I couldn’t ask for anything more. Loved having a bath as well as a shower. Nice spacious bathroom and lovely bedroom with wardrobe and plenty of space. Loved all the variety of teas on offer in our room.

The only criticism is that the room was quite stuffy so was always very warm despite leaving the window wide open in the daytime and during the evening but I do appreciate the weather was hot outside.
