Was an absolute delight from start to finish! Beautiful breakfast!!! We stayed in the farmhouse rooms. Lovely location and quite peaceful oven though there seemed to be a wedding. Everything is well done and the staff were lovely.
One aspect was the bath, booked this room specifically as it has a bath but in my eyes was quite dangerous. The clever layout of the room means the bath is tucked away is under the pitch of the roof. Im 6'2 I was having to negotiate the wet bath and the roof when getting in with nothing to hold on to and ended up falling. Whilst hand rails aren't aesthetically pleasing I think they should be considered. luckily I only came away a decent bruise but it could have been worse.....

I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect stay. It was an over night birthday getaway. We stayed in the farmers cottage with the outdoor hot tub, and had really lovely views of the lake and the North Sea in the distance. The room is beautifully decorated with a large attached bathroom. There is so much attention to detail, the hotel really has thought of everything. Checkin was a breeze and all of the staff were absolutely wonderful. We ate at the restaurant for lunch and evening meal and the food was incredible. Everything was fresh, good portion sizes and service was amazing. It’s definitely on our top list of hotels to revisit.
There was nothing we didn’t like and will definitely be coming back. Have already highly recommended on socials and with friends and family.

The hotel is gorgeous and has a quirky design with beautifully decorated rooms. We stayed in the Tempus Junior Suite, which exceeded our expectations. The staff were very attentive, and the food served at the restaurant for dinner, breakfast, and the wedding was exceptional.
It's hard to find faults with this hotel. However, the iron in our room did not have a steam function, making it very difficult to press our garments. The quality of the iron was poor. We had to make a trip into Alnwick to buy a steam iron so we could re-press our wedding clothes, which had become creased during travel. Additionally, the Wi-Fi was not high speed in our opinion, and the book in our room had the incorrect password written inside. While it is a minor point, a hotel charging £350 per night should get these details right. None of the above would stop us staying at the hotel again though.

The location was beautiful and the room we had in the hall was lovely. I loved the decoration. It was all very quirky, just what I like. The pond with the ducks was great. We had a little walk around it for some fresh air. The gardens outside the Tempus were beautiful. I liked the fact that our room was away from the restaurant so it was nice and quiet. The food in the Tempus was exceptional. We stayed for dinner the first evening we were at the hotel and I can't fault it. It was fantastic. The staff in the restaurant were all absolutely lovely and couldn't do enough for us. We even had tips on where to go during our stay.
When we arrived in our room there was an old pizza box in there with the remains of left over pizza. We arrived on the Tuesday afternoon and I believe that Pizza is only sold on a weekend so I'm presuming it had been there a couple of days. It looked like it had! The lady behind reception apologised but that was all. There were cobwebs above the windows and the carpet outside our room (the first night) was very dirty. It was vacced the second night and looked much better. Our room (Eliza) was also exceptionally hot. We had the windows open and still couldn't sleep. The second night we asked if there was a fan available. We were told that house keeping would be contacted but the staff weren't sure if one was available. It never turned up but we weren't informed either way.

Its location is excellent, peaceful and tasteful
Nothing This occasion was for the Grill and chill and was somewhat disappointed with the choice I had for the money. We were seated at 4pm so we were last unbeknownst to us and as we sat, the live music advertised, ended. The day was advertised with live music and so it fell a little flat. Also I am non alcohol and there was no alcohol free wine choice, merely soft drinks so did feel that for me personally the cost of £49.95 was quite steep, The food was lovely and chef was brilliant with Gluten free requirements. We did, however have a lovely stay, beautiful breakfast and will return but not to do an event infortunately

It is in a beautiful location and the decor is wonderful and unusual with so much creativity and thought put into it .All the staff were fantastic and a real credit to the hotel. I only do positive reviews so that speaks volumes . We were in the cosy room in the Tempus and it was huge and beautiful.. a real wow moment when you walk in and definitely value for money
The only negative we had is that there is no really comfy seating when having drinks after dinner. We ate elsewhere as that was the reason for our visit to Northumberland but called in for a drink but all seating is upright and very uncomfortable.. beautifully done but just not comfy

We have eaten here a few times whilst on holiday. This is the first time we have stayed. We stayed in the Farm cottage, Ottilie room. The room was lovely, beautifully decorated with a large comfy bed and a lovely bathroom. This has a large walk-in shower with gorgeous smelling complimentary shower gel and lotions. We walked around the grounds, which were stunning. There are some wooden lodges with hot tubs around a small lake in The Blossom plantation, I'm tempted to try one of those next time. Every time we visit, new additions seem to appear. There are some large wooden lodges being built around a second larger lake, which will be fabulous when finished. Finally, a comment about the food. As always, this was wonderful, very well presented and completely delicious, which is why we return every time we holiday up here. The interior of The Tempus is truly spectacular and well worth a visit with lovely staff to top it all off.
Nothing!

The interiors, the quirky layout, the grounds which although are newly planted still are beautiful. The staff at breakfast were very attentive and the breakfast was perfect for me. The lovely cups and surroundings, Andrew Martin fabrics…made me very happy. Things like that feed my soul. Loved it! Could have stayed eating breakfast all day! 😂👌🏻
Only thing I didn’t like were the stains on the carpet in the bedroom. It needs a good clean or replacing. And it was a glorious morning (we get so few), would have been lovely to have the option to eat breakfast on the patio. Even if only continental breakfast was offered there.

We were welcomed by amazing staff and was given a complimentary upgrade to our stay due to our mistake of not including a baby in our booking but was accommodated instantly and made our stay extra special. The decorwithin the hotel truly created a magical atmosphere. Each ornament and carefully placed item contributed to a sense of warmth and celebration. We appreciated the attention to detail, which made our stay extra special and memorable. It was evident that a lot of care and effort went into creating such a warm environment. There was a small park nearby which was great for our little one to stretch her legs before we left!

From arriving at the Tempus the whole customer service was second to none. The guy who checked us in was super friendly and welcoming and even accompanied us to the room to show us how the lights and functions worked. The estate has ample parking, well sign posted and easy to locate on the sat nav. We were attending a nearby Wedding at Ellingham Hall and switched to this accommodation quite last minute as the place really caught our eye! The whole setting and surrounding is peaceful and stunning, the decor is just gorgeous throughout. We did stay mid week so likely quieter, or so we thought however breakfast told us otherwise and we loved the fact that this wasn't made apparent. The gentleman who seated us at breakfast was absolutely lovely and nothing was a problem, the breakfast has a granola station, fresh fruit compotes and delicious yoghurts. Fresh pastries, cereals and all the usual choices. Every staff member we encountered was super helpful. We never got a chance to try the bar or evening food during our stay but I have no doubt it will be lovely. The hotel has a lovely terrace to over look a water feature and nature for miles. We had a room upgrade thanks to my booking.com status to pole barn 3, the barns are a decent sized, beautifully decorated, very quiet and comfortable beds with beautifully designed and spacious bathroom. We will definitely come back and recommend the property to others.
The tables and chairs at the front of the pole barns looked a little worn and they were a little unstable - very small feedback, I guess due to the gravel underneath - very minor.
