family room was clean and comfortable, breakfast was fabulous, staff very welcoming and pleasant. Able to park outside and location was very close to town centre and harbour. Great cocktail bar over the road (worth a visit).
i don't think there was anything negative, would certainly use again which is a recommendation in itself.

Plenty available for a substantial breakfast if wanted. I had the full English option twice and a local kipper offered on Friday. Lovely service from Heather, and all the staff encountered were welcoming and friendly. Room was clean, beds comfortable and all the usual extras in place. Hot drinks making items, TV, en-suite, ironing items and hairdryer. Car parking operates on a disc system locally but there are plenty of free parking options available in the town and the nearest to this hotel is less than 50 yards away. Just need to grab a slot before the workers and day trippers arrive. Plenty of dining out options in the town but best to book to avoid disappointment. Many walking opportunities and history in evidence all around the town and the short walk across the 2 bridges to Tweedmouth and on to Spittal. Locals were friendly and ready to engage. Plenty of specialist, craft and art shops to explore. Good link options to surrounding locations.
The hotel didn't open for evening dining at the time of our visit. This meant a trail and queuing on the first night. The building itself is historically old and the room floor was typically biased away from level in one corner. Not a problem for us. Lack of good high street outlets, Disinterested staff in the Tourist Information office hidden in the local library.

Breakfast hot and excellent for cooked breakfast. choice was very good for all needs Plus continental. I liked the good clear instruction to self access and no hassle. free to come and go. if problems contact phone number available. nice to be left to our own devices. For one night small double adequate. If staying more than one night more space around bed. I thing price under £70 -80 would have been reasonable. saying that would stay again. Berwick beautiful place people very friendly.
Bedroom alittle small as above for price paid. Bathroom served the purpose. no complaints

Good budget hotel in a great location, close to some great cafes and restaurants on Bridge Street and a short walk to the Berwick walls walking route. The room was small but very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The hotel is not staffed except in the mornings for breakfast, but access to the rooms is easy and well explained. The staff we met were incredibly welcoming and helpful, and the breakfast was hearty and delicious.
We had to keep the curtains and blinds closed because we felt that the room was overlooked, especially the bathroom, which doesn't have frosted glass in the window.

Spacious room which was clean and comfortable with hospitality tray. Good location for bars, restaurants and town walls. Decent cooked breakfast and friendly staff (who we only saw in the morning)..
It's a self-check-in hotel (maybe just in quiet months but I'm not sure). I didn't like absence of reception or bar staff as there was no ambience. We arrived early and had to leave our luggage at a sister hotel before we could go exploring. The room heating went off at 6pm so we were cold, although we had a number to ring, and they responded very quickly. We normally like B&B for some personal attention, warm welcome, fresh milk etc, so without this, it didn't seem so enjoyable. If costs stay low, it's a good budget option as the room was fine. Personally, I'd be prepared to pay a bit more for a reception/bar staff.

Small and quiet, self check in so no one to bother you after a long journey! Family room was big, proper 3 bed with another proper bed underneath. Standard double though which is okay. Owners and staff are super helpful and absolutely lovely.
Bathroom was small but adequate but that’s preference as I like a bath due to disability - beware though if you’re a larger person the entrance to the shower is tiny, had I taken a shower aid I wouldn’t have been able to get it in.

Lots of lovely little touches - toiletries, hot water bottle, tea in rooms. Check in and out very simple and parking system very easy too - arrived Saturday night so parking was free on Sunday. Staff friendly and attentive- excellent location for Berwick next to the town walls.
Old building so room a little small - fine for one night but might have been tricky for a longer stay with more luggage.

Nice cosy and comfortable rooms- next door to the rest of our party. All staff very friendly and obliging. Tasty breakfast and evening meal. Hotel in a central location in Berwick, near old wall, parks etc. On street parking good, with the permit. Good base for visiting Lindesfarne, Bamborough and St Abb's Head.
The door on room 5 was difficult to open and close, maybe due to long pile on the carpet- needed a very heavy push! Meals nice, maybe portions a bit big for the evening meal? I always wish, in all restauarants, that they would offer smaller and larger potions of meals as we are all different.
