The Blue Bell Crookham is a hidden gem in Northumberland as this hotel exceeded our expectations in everyway. The hotel is ideally situated to visit the Bamburgh castle, Lindisfarne priory and the Alnwick castle all under or up to 30 minutes drive. The hotel is also located at the doorstep of stunning Ford historic village and castle just under five minutes away, well worth a visit. The hotel is well maintained to a very high standard, clean and comfortable, large room with huge beds, good shower, tea and coffee making facilities. We also enjoyed an exceptional Full English breakfast before heading off to do our sight seeing. Special thanks to Keith and the staff for their warm and friendly customer service. We like to thank Keith especially for accommodating us when we have to make changes to our check in dates. Thank you so much for making our stay at the Blue Bell Crookham a memorable one. Nothing not to like

Everything about my stay (2 nights) was absolutely amazing. The place is easy to find and is parking is excellent, with plenty of space to park! Booking in online prior to arrival is so slick, you arrive, you get a short introduction / briefing, get your key, and then are escorted to your room. Whilst the room I stayed in is very small (it is well and accurately described on the Blue Bell's website!) it is ample for a single person visit, it was both very comfortable and more than adequate for my short stay. The team are very helpful and friendly in the bar and restaurant, and keep the rooms clean and topped up with Tea/Coffee and biscuits. Breakfasts are fabulous, well cooked and presented, with more than enough Juice/Tea/Coffee. . . The one meal I ate in the restaurant was well cooked and very tasty, service was very prompt. I had absolutely nothing to complain about!

To my mind there was nothing I didn't like, and I had absolutely nothing to mention let alone complain about!

The cooked breakfast was exceptional and everything cooked to perfection. The room was very comfy and clean. The staff were welcoming and very friendly. I would highly recommend ordering from their evening meal menu. Staying there for the first time I really couldn't fault anything.

The room was lovely, really comfy beds and was very quiet. The breakfast was outstanding and it is in a great location. The hospitality received was brilliant and really nice staff and would highly recommend staying here

The food was fabulous - 1st rate. I never had a disappointing meal. Great breakfasts. The "Full Border" kept me going for a whole day. So much so, that on subsequent days I'd just choose 3 items from the list, so that I could have lunch out. Very friendly & helpful staff too.

My single room was 'small', but I'd asked for a single room anyway, so it was fine. A decent quality shower more than made up for it - so no real complaints.

I stayed in Room 1, which is the small single room. It is possibly the tiniest hotel room on the planet but it had *everything*, even tea, coffee and hairdryer. Brilliant! And breakfast was perfect too: lots of it, perfectly cooked and tea, juice and toast on the side. Despite facing onto a main road, it was quiet enough for me to sleep perfectly.

There are some impracticalities with such a small room. The bathroom sink is tiny (so, difficult to use) yet still gets in the way when sitting! But these are the small trade offs for a great little room at a great price.

Its so rare to be able to get a booking here that we were delighted that there was a last minute cancellation. It always meets expectations. Had evening meal (Sunday fare) and breakfast and both were very satisfying and tasty. The weather was fantastic too so win win. We will be back (if we can get a booking!).

Get a better Shiraz red wine. It was okay and a decent price but it wasn't the best compliment to the Sunday Roast. Its the only moan I have.

Great welcome. Beds comfortable and room quiet and clean. Excellent location to visit the coast and historic places.
