Liked everything. Staff so friendly. Food great. Room so comfortable with super bathroom. Mini bar free, breakfast served not a buffer. All very clean. Central to everywhere, a step into Scotland. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend.

From the moment we arrived, when staff descended on my car and took our luggage to the room, to check-out 5 days later, all was superb. The location, attention to detail (e.g. Complimentary mini bar drinks and snacks), friendly, smiling staff who went above and beyond to make our stay a pleasure. Kerry in particular made the start of the day for us with her wit, sense of humour and attention to detail. As we said in the hotel's comments card ''Every hotel should have a ''Kerry''
Thursday Breakfast - The ''2nd team'' must have been on duty - 10/10 service was more like 7/10 that morning.

Really nice property just a few miles from Berwick but we went to visit Holy Island (Lindisfarne) which was about 25 mins drive away. Probably some of the best staff anywhere and even helped with our luggage (which was a lady at reception). Managed to get a sea view and the bed was so comfortable. Breakfast was local produce and was pretty faultless but the breakfast staff were so lovely and lively and made you feel so at ease. It was like being at home. We ordered room service because we arrived a little late for which they charge £7.50 for delivery to the room, but the staff were willing to take it up for free because they were so nice. Also free parking.
11am checkout but wasn’t really a problem for us.

Superb and very friendly staff who couldn’t do enough to make our stay anything other than excellent. Also a great dog friendly hotel, where our Cockapoo Nancy was made to feel as much of a guest as we were. The breakfast was exceptional, with very high quality food, great choice, great service and extremely tasty. The hotel is a beautiful country house, with lovely views out to sea, and although close to the A1, it is very peaceful and secluded. Would happily recommend the hotel as a place to stay, and will aim to stay here next time we are in the area.
The only slight let down at breakfast to us, was the quality of the pastries. The £30 per night dog charge was the most we have ever paid.

Everything. The staff were amazing, very friendly and welcoming. We booked this last minute instead of a Premier Inn (there is no comparison!) as we were literally passing through and saw a good price on Booking. We didn't know what to expect but this place didn't disappoint and so glad we found it. We felt right at home. We stayed in a standard double which had a super comfy bed, nice clean decoration and great facilities in room with streaming available on TV. Good wifi. Warm and cosy. Wished we had stayed longer than one night. The view was perfect with the sea visible. Bathroom clean with an excellent walk in shower. There is a beautiful bar and restaurant available on site so you don't even need to venture outside the hotel if you wanted a relaxing escape from a busy schedule. Nearby there is a nice coastal route to explore within walking distance and if you fancy a change, it is only 5 minutes drive into Berwick with lots of pubs and restaurants available. Breakfast was included and offered a cooked full English/Scottish option and continental buffet. Would definitely recommend and can not wait to come back. Thank you.
There was nothing negative.

Stayed 3 nights. Stunning old manor with sea views. Cosy comfortable room. Very good breakfast. Huge gardens. If (!) the weather allows it there is a beautiful outside terrace. Lovely meal in the restaurant. Good wines. Someone made efforts with the interior design. It is very interesting.
What I mention now is nothing which did spoil our stay. Just mentioning. The service in the evenings (we stayed 3 nights) was a bit slow, seemed to forget us sometimes. The interior design is beautiful and quite modern, but a bit cold. For me - but I am a romantic - the furnishing in an old manor should be more cozy / plushy. But I guess my point of view here is old-fashioned ;-) The view between the manor and the sea (on one side) opens to a holiday home settlement. Not the fault of the hotel, obviously.

Very clean/ BRILLIANT STAFF/ excellent breakfast/ super location (however, a mode of transport is needed…there aren’t cafes, bars, restaurants within walking distance)/ extremely comfortable…and we had brilliant weather.
Bar prices were high/ would like to have seen a salad option on the dinner menu/ would like to have seen a ‘revolving’ menu i.e. one that was revolved every 6 days ( we were there for 7 days, ate dinner in the restaurant on 4 occasions and I found the menu limiting).

First off, the hotel is stunning and provides a real wow moment when first viewed. Our room (18) was spacious and well equipped. The breakfast was the best we had on our 10 day tour and the evening meal was excellent and good value too. Staff were super nice and our dog was treated to a morning sausage (as was my wife!) Lovely coastal path walk minutes from the hotel. This was the nicest hotel we stayed in on our tour and good value.
Room was warm at night but the fan provided helped. £30 extra for our dog was the most we have ever paid.

Service and food quality exceptional. Bed linen, towels excellent. Bed very comfortable. Staff great!
Entrance driveway poor, pot holed and poorly signed speed bumps. Very annoying! Car park really poor, gravel mixed with mud. For goodness sake resurface the driveway and tarmac the car park. It’s a no brainer. It will also keep dirt out off the property floors. Inexplicable why they don’t do this really simple fix which is not expensive. Bathrooms lack any shelf space to rest ones bathroom bag contents on, pretty basic, but really frustrating. Room window does not open fully or easily, sticks and only opens a couple of inches. Attention to minor detail overall is obviously not uppermost in the owners remit. Needs some attention to finer things in life.

Beautiful Manor House set in lovely grounds, the house is a grand affair and makes you wish you could see the hustle and bustle of its younger life. Decorated as expected, classy, the staff were more than helpful, always a smile. The food was better than expected, great choice and professionalism in the cooking and serving, this is a must return to House and we look forward to our next visit.
Nope, fantastic..
