The rooms have been refurbished since we visited a couple of years ago. Comfy room, with lovely sea view. Breakfast was delicious, and dinner on one of our nights was also tasty. Easy flat walk into the town.

the walls remain thin and neighbours talking in their room, children shrieking etc. frequently disturbs the otherwise quiet and peaceful ambience. Parking was difficult - one of the staff gave up their space for us as the parking area was full.

Could have done without the posy, self centred head-waiter, who was so unbelievably up himself that he never had an eye for the guests. But other than him the staff were welcoming and wonderful.

The location of the hotel was fabulous. Huge windows at the front of the hotel with views over a green, dunes, the sea and Farne Islands. Lots of parking around the hotel. The atmosphere was really friendly and relaxed. Staff very friendly and happy to engage with us if they had a moment free. Menus were varied and the food was delicious. Plenty of room to relax with a sea view of you dont want to head out. Our room had a glimpse of Bamburgh. The bed was comfy. Dave in the bar, David and Ryan the Chef all excellent company and great at their job. We didn’t need to use these things, but there was an outdoor tiled shower stand for pets and buckets, spades and nets available to borrow. 10 minute gentle walk to Seahouses.

Our room was quite warm but when the window was open, what I thought was the noise of the sea was more realistically the noise of a fan from the kitchen area/air con? We didn’t request more tea or coffee at breakfast as it appeared that no one was asked if they’d like more than the one cup. But more would have been appreciated.

Beautiful sea view from all of the communal areas at the front. We spent part of the evening at a table in one of the very large bay windows in the bar area. A nautical themed room well decorated and very appropriate to the location. The Farne Islands are visible from here. Very large comfy bed in a good sized room with bottled water, shortbread, tea, coffee, toiletries, etc. Good choice of breakfast.

The bedroom floor had just been washed, was still wet, no problem with that, we were advised, but there was a strong smell of bleach, and it remained a little sticky. Not much of a view, a fire escape above the patio, and the room directly faced other rooms across the grassed shrubbed area. The rooms on the front of the hotel will have great views if you're lucky enough to get one.

Staff were very welcoming. A good selection of hot breakfast and continental including gluten free. The single room although small was very comfortsble. 5 minutes from The town centre, _ and also access to the beach leading to Bamburgh Castle. I did not take advantage of this , but you also have access to the The spa facilities at Seafield caravan site.. it is in an ideal location for exploring the Northumberland Coadt.

The skylight room which I chose on booking had an annoying rattle in high winds. Not so bad when the the storms abatted.

The hotel is overlooking the seafront, with plenty of space in the car park. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Both of our bedrooms were very comfortable and spacious, with access to the patio. We would definitely stay again.

We would have preferred an open time slot for breakfast rather than having to book for specific time.

Everything was perfect. The Australian sounding receptionist who I believe was called "Georgie" was extremely helpful, friendly and super efficient and is a credit to the lovely hotel. Similarly the blonde lady who took our breakfast orders was also very nice and helpful. Sea Views through the huge picture windows were great to look out at breakfast time.

One or two of the make bar staff in the evenings were a little less friendly and sullen but more than made up for the quality of the food which was first class.

Beautiful location on the sea front. In a quiet location with easy access to small town. Exceptionally clean property, rooms large and well furnished and warm. Comfy beds. Walk in shower and plenty of hot water. Good breakfast cooked to order from quite an extensive menu. Staff helpful and friendly. Evening menu good and food delicious even if rather expensive. Comfortable lounge area in the bar and good range of drinks. Happy hour is 3pm to 4pm which is rather strange.

There is no lift to upper floor but stairs easy to manage. Most patrons had dogs with them and they were not allowed in the restaurant area. Guests took their meals in the lounge area.

The bathroom was nice and clean with a powerful shower; nice toiletries provided. The bed was comfortable. The food at breakfast was good quality and served quickly. There was plenty of free parking on-site. The nearby spa which you can access for free as a guest of this hotel was a great bonus to our weekend away. It was very clean and we had unlimited use of the spa facilities during our stay. Great location, only a short walk into town.

There was a notice in the room asking us not to change the thermostat setting on the radiator. For most people and for most of the time that wouldn't be an issue but it just felt like a stingy request; I don't want to be too hot / too cold and uncomfortable when I'm paying ~£150 / night to stay somewhere. The staff didn't seem happy to be there. Whilst they were polite they weren't friendly and certainly didn't waste their time on pleasantries with guests.

This is a really nice hotel in a wonderful location practically on the beach at Seahouses. The staff were all really friendly on arrival and breakfast. We had a pet free room upstairs which felt newly decorated and was in good order. My only feedback was it would have been nice to have a luggage stand in the room but it's not a show stopper. Breakfast was served quickly and food was excellent. For someone like me who likes to eat not surrounded by dogs I like the no dogs policy in the restaurant. We only had a one night stay but I would definitely return and maybe upgrade to a seaview room next time.
