Staying at the hotel was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I stepped into the lobby, I was greeted with warmth and professionalism. The attention to detail in the room was impressive, from the crisp linens to the carefully curated amenities. Every aspect of my stay was tailored to perfection, ensuring both comfort and luxury. The impeccable service provided by the staff exceeded my expectations, making me feel truly valued as a guest. Without a doubt, my experience at this hotel was simply outstanding, leaving me with cherished memories and a desire to return soon.

The staff were fantastic and friendly. The room was very clean and well equipped, even had a bath.

Nothing we didn't like, only no lift.

staff were polite and friendly, reception were very helpful and called a taxi service for us and apologised profusely when it was late. Breakfast was delicious and plenty of variety.

The room was slightly smaller than I anticipated and the noise level was higher but I think this was purely down to how busy they were in 24hr period.

Pay for what you get 3 star... Hotel don't expect too much. All staff pleasant and helpful.. Water pressure in shower dismal. Clean towels. Comfortable beds.. Dated carpets and decor needs to be refreshed. Lovely breakfast Dinner menu limited choice.. £17.00 for bottle of wine. 5 mins from train station a bonus Quiet area short distance into shops A lot of workmen staying so early morning noise as they are leaving. But would recommend for a short visit to Birmingham.

Image of the hotel uninviting and run down looking in comparison to the website pictures. Needs painted and freshened up.

The location was perfect and easy to get to, ample parking that was safe. Couldn’t believe how close to the train station it was which was perfect to get into the city. Even with it being next to the station the room was quiet. Can’t pick fault with the hotel or our stay. Immaculate room that had all the things needed… coffee and tea facility, sockets by the bed, plenty of mirrors, powerful mixer shower and great lighting in the bathroom above the mirror. Staff were friendly and polite, the chef and waiter at breakfast were lovely and a credit to the hotel. Breakfast was great with a selection of toast, cereal, croissants alongside the menu. Really can’t pick a fault with the hotel especially for the money it provides all you need and for the price. I wouldn’t hesitate to book this hotel again, it provided great value, was clean and I slept like a log. Many thanks to all the staff at the hotel

Location good. Pleased there was room in the car park as I arrived very late. Staff exceptionally friendly & helpful. Casual atmosphere suits me, & every request was met or answered. Bed linen & towels great & very clean. Bed comfortable. Two easy chairs in my twin room. Spacious room; spacious wardrobe. Hairdryer in bedroom easier to use. Decent bedside sockets for phones etc. Windows that open properly. Decent reading lamp over each bed & a good quality main light...not a 'mood' light ir a 'dark' room where you can barely see anything! Very warm & comfortable. 'Named' brands..eg PG Tips; Dove soap etc This room was more comfortable than so called 'better' hotels. I don't mind interiors that have seen better days if the comfort & convenience is there. The lower price reflects this but that is not to say it is dull or ugly. It is a lovely old building & I love the atmosphere & laid back, but competent & friendly staff.

Issues only with the bathroom. I struggled with the shower..couldn't work out how to cool the hot water temp, water too hot, then it did it itself at the end of the shower! Cold water tap in basin very slow then suddenly 'gushes' wetting my clothes through until I learned how to control it. Not sure if this is just me, but I couldn't squeeze the liquid soap hard enough on both dispensers to get any soap except using two hands...tricky! ( that's probably one for Dove to solve rather than the hotel).

We booked one night here prior to flying from Birmingham Airport early the next morning. We booked a double room , plus parking for the week that we were away - at around £70 all-in, that was cheaper than what any of the 'usual suspects' nearer to the airport wanted for just a room, never mind parking! The staff were very friendly and helpful, both the lady on reception and the guy who doubled up as barman and waiter. We ate in the restaurant - a shared bowl of nachos to start (genuinely the freshest-tasting we've ever had, highly recommended) and a gammon steak each, which were cooked to perfection and presented beautifully. The room was a little dated, but was clean and spacious, and the bed was very comfy. The road outside was busy till around midnight, but that's hardly the hotel's fault. We'd definitely stay here again, thank you to all concerned.

Nothing, for what we paid I refuse to nit-pick!

Great location, actually a very nice building so even though it's relatively budget, it looked very welcoming, lots of parking, great entrance, downstairs space was pretty nice and the restaurant looked great. The room itself (twin) was a decent size, bed was a little soft which isn't to everyone's liking but perfect for me. Great TV and drinks sachets, kettle, etc. Bathroom maybe needs a little repair here and there but for the price it was honestly perfectly decent.

Bathroom needed some repairs with the grout and paint Some stains on the walls of the room Curtain looked like it was falling off a bit but still drew fine It's true you can definitely hear everything in the next room and corridor but honestly it was completely fine

A real gem of a place. Excellent location next to Acocks Green train station (less than 10 minutes to City Centre) and on the very useful number 11 bus route (bus stop just 30 metres from the hotel). Thanks to Desi and Susan on the front desk for their kindness and help. I stayed 4 nights during a stormy and snowy period and really felt at home here. Thank you!

Everything was very satisfactory. No complaints whatsoever!
