Here we go again, my SECOND visit was just as good as the first, all the staff are outstanding. I cannot find any fault at all with any single second of my stay with these guys, they are all fabulous. Watch out for DAVE in the the bar, he's really a nice guy, loves you to blow raspberries on his tummy. Only joking....( Or am I ). All joking aside, I would truly, highly recommend this hotel, there professional, caring, with excellent food, ( I recommend the carvery), breakfast is superb. Honestly forget your Travelodge, go to a good quality local hotel, mix and talk to the locals, I promise, you won't regret it...and like me you will be planning your return.
Whole visit was perfect

The staff are super friendly and helpful and the rooms clean and comfy. Nice fluffy towels! A generous full English breakfast. The location is very handy for Walsall County Court. The hotel has lots of character with old wooden panels.
The downside to my stay was that the room was very hot. The water in the taps is scalding hot, and the pipes run just under the floorboards. It's like having underfloor heating that you can't turn off. The room was like an oven. I'd recommend the hotel gets the boiler overhauled as they must be spending a fortune on heating water to that temperature!

The staff were superb from the moment I walked in, guiding me to their car park and were really helpful. Its a traditional pub with such unusual features like a castle in the bedrooms. Lovely clean crisp bedding, warm rooms, control your own radiators. Fresh white towels. Amazing breakfast from Full English to things like beans and egg on toast or scrambled egg, Your choice just wait for the staff to ask you. Lots of cereals and fruit juice, I really enjoyed the company in the bar at night. I will definitely come back.
The TV was tiny but I didn't watch it, so no worries. There was slopes to the outside rooms, parking is limited but you can pay for parking from 7am on the council parking to the side with an app. it would only have been a couple of pounds to have time to have breakfast. Maybe some features are a little worn or dated to some but I loved the place.

I'm originally from Walsall but now live in Sth Wales, came back to watch Walsall v Port Vale with friends, so booked a twin room for me and my mate. Was glad to be able to park on the on site car park in fact I was the only one on it. Went off to the game as it was a 12.30 kick off, then checked in after the game, The room was great clean own bathroom tea making facilities, went into the pub area where we consumed some real ale then decided to have fish and chips with some bread and butter, which was lovely and set us up for some more drinks lol. will be visiting home town again in August for my birthday so will stay there again.

This is the 3rd time I have stayed at this place and I can honestly say that for me it's perfectly located in the quiet part of Walsall 5 or 6 minutes away from the train and bus station so I can easily get about to visit the family. The breakfast is fantastic proper food from the sausages to the bread you can tell it's quality, and if you have a meal in the evening you will not go hungry. All the staff that I have spoken to are very friendly and helpful
For me there isn't anything to complain about

We received a warm welcome on our arrival, and were given clear instructions on how to get to our room, where to park for easiest return later that night, and where to come for breakfast. The only minor thing we would suggest could be added to our room (216) would be a small shelf on which to put an alarm clock, or spectacles, etc. There was one velour-upholstered chair in the room, but the cushion seat curved in such a way that anything put on it rolled or slid onto the floor. Not a catastrophe by any means, but if that happens to your glasses while you're asleep, you might end up stepping on them, if you have to get up in the night. 🙃 The mattress was comfortable enough, and the bathroom, although dated and in keeping with the bargain price we paid, was perfectly suited to our needs. The towels were very nice too. The breakfast cereal range was good, and the options included in the cooked breakfast were very good, and it was hot, because it was cooked to order (unlike many other hotel chains where they batch-cook and try to keep things warm under heater-lights). We both enjoyed what we had. And it was lovely to see Rainforest Alliance Coffee bags in the rooms; the smell is gorgeous, and knocks the thin strips of Freeze-dried brands for six. Finally, a word about the lady member of staff who greeted us so charmingly when we arrived (We're sorry, but we didn't catch her name), and served us at breakfast on the morning we left; Thank you so much for the courtesy and attentiveness you showed us. It makes such a difference to the view visitors form of an establishment.

The hotel is definitely quirky. For instance you check in next to the pub and you immediately need to go downstairs walk through a couple doors and then proceed upstairs to get to your room. May be an issue for people with mobility issues. I did not see a lift. The hotel is very old but clean. I loved that it has not been renovated to look new but the historical charm remains. The bed was comfortable and a relatively large room (for Europe). Bathroom was great. The attached pub has a limited but great dinner menu and many local beers. The hotel is located at the end of a pedestrian street right in the city centre.
I think the bathroom was made for a very tall person. I could barely see in the mirror. I could not reach the window to close it in the bathroom. I think it was left open after cleaning.

It's an interesting building and a shame I didn't have any more time to investigate it. The room was quaint, the bathroom exactly where it should be, en-suite. The best part was the cooked breakfast. Both the bacon and the sausage were superb, and the whole ensemble cooked exactly as I asked for. I couldn't have wished for better.
I would have preferred to have a chair in my room. I don't particularly appreciate watching TV lying on a bed. The building is old, so the shower means stepping into the bath, which is a hazard for older people like me.

The Lyndon House Hotel is a very friendly and welcoming Hotel with bags of character. The Bar area is very traditional and has a good selection of drinks at reasonable prices and the evening menu is your standard pub fayre, once again at reasonable prices and very tasty. The Breakfast has a reasonable selection and is prepared to order from the standard cooked options with additional continental choices also available. The room was spacious, tidy and had all the normal in-room facilities.
Although the venue has lots of character the rooms do need some re-decoration to brighten them up. This did not affect my very pleasant stay.

We were visiting Walsall to see our granddaughter perform in a synchronised swimming competition the following morning. Lyndon House was close by and they allowed us to leave the car while we went to the event. Our room was incredible, outside the main building, like a little bungalow. Lovely decoration and style. The bed was extremely comfortable; the bed linen beautifully soft; large bath towels; very tasty coffee bags. The breakfast was very well cooked and tasty; very nice brown toast. Very attentively overseen by a young but efficient member of staff.
I cannot think of anything that was not done ‘right’ unless you want to start asking for extra things that are obviously going to increase prices and change the whole purpose of the hotel.
