Good location for what I needed. Lovely dining area, food spot on. Young lady called Ruby so friendly and attentive, above and beyond. Couldn’t seep so night reception made me some hot chocolate, again above and beyond. Staff excellent.

Rooms definitely need up grades. Carpet cut in half at the door entrance so was bunching up and found it difficult to get my case in. Pillows were solid and mattress needed changed. Found a feedback form in welcome pack from December 2024. I stayed Feb 2025. Info needs to be kept updated . Spotlessly clean but needs overhaul.

Lovely comfortable rooms and outside area. The breakfasts were tasty and plentiful, as was the evening meal. The hotel is ideally situated, close to Ramsbottom and to good bus routes , motorway and vintage railway.Bury town centre with its plentiful shops and attractions is only a couple of miles away. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Though very comfortable, the rooms look a bit tired and could do with updating. The service in the restaurant was a little slow in the evening but otherwise excellent.

I found the hotel easily by bus, there is an excellent service in the day. My friends knew where it is. I could have the breakfast I wanted, porridge and banana. I didn't use the restaurant for other meals.

The taps in the ensuite were unusual and very high pressure until you mastered the novel controls, there were noisy too. However I was travelling alone, so that wasn't a problem. Some of the seals were a bit mouldy and there were signs of wear in the room. The room was very comfortable and I had all I needed. I was on the ground floor around the back, as it was in the countryside it was very quiet that side of the hotel.

Only small issue was external noise from inconsiderate guests. It can happen in any hotel. Contacted reception and it was dealt with promptly.

Lovely pies for dinner in the restaurant, which was light and airy, although the fabric seats where we were placed could do with renovation soon. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. We were very pleased to be at the back of the hotel, which was quiet and with a field view, rather than overlooking the main entrance, where wedding guests were smoking. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was clean and smelled fresh.

The quite large wardrobe precluded having a small table and lamp on that side of the bed, making it tricky to read after dark without using the main light. Perhaps if most guests only stay for 2-3 nights a smaller wardrobe could be used? One lamp also had a dodgy switch so we didn’t use it.

The rooms and venue in itself were spotless, the staff are so lovely, kind and helpful. We came for a wedding and we honestly had an amazing weekend with brilliant facilities, amazing staff and we had a lovely weekend! We felt instantly comfortable and had everything we needed throughout the weekend, the breakfast was fresh and tasty with a choice of cereals, croissants and juices for those who didn’t wish to have a full English breakfast.

The fire alarm going off at 1.50 am, and everyone is standing in reception and not being told to leave outside. The alarm went off, then stopped and off. I.m. the understanding if goes off you leave the building till told it all safe to return. Even if it stops and starts as you can't be totally sure, it's a false alarm. Maybe need a review in procedures.

It was well located for the event I was attending. The room and bathroom were spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable. Although there was a wedding reception in the hotel, the room was pretty quiet. The parking was excellent with lots of spaces. The food in the restaurant was good.

The lighting in the room was poor for reading. The WiFi connection did not work in the bedroom, only downstairs in the public areas. This was annoying.

Nice dog friendly hotel, large rooms and friendly staff. Loved no extra charge for the dog. Some hotels charge up to £40 extra. The hotel had Christmas party nights on but the room was away from the noise and everything was over by midnight.

£15 charge for breakfast, not particularly expensive by hotel standards but there was a lovely tiny cafe across the road so we ate there.

Mary the receptionist could not do enough for you. She was welcoming and efficient. She ordered taxis for us which arrived promptly. The Hotel was very busy with a wedding, but other staff were also helpful making sure everyone was arrended to. Staff were also clearing up confetti which had blown in due to the wind so were doing their best to keep the Hote tidy..Bed was really comfortable and the shower was excellent.

Some money could do with being spent on the rooms eg the light above the mirror had no cover, the heated towel rail was rusty and the door hinges had been oiled but not masked off leaving black marks.Bedside lamp did not work, coat hangers did not match so looked hotch potch. All these things added up to making the Hotel looking uncared for. Website says rooms available from 2 but it is 3.
