Staff very friendly and helpful. The room and communal areas were very clean. The room was nice, with good facilities and the breakfast was good. It was nice having the ‘to go’ cups available for hot drinks at breakfast.

The room was cold and although we tried to alter the setting on the heating, it didn’t seem to work. The lobby and restaurant area was very cold too, until our last morning when I think someone must have adjusted the temperature. Would have been nice to have a heated towel rail in the bathroom, there’s no way to get towels dry and we didn’t want to request clean ones each day just because they were damp. In the restaurant a few of the vegetarian choices were off the menu, which was a shame.

Modern hotel. Room was attractive, well-laid out and spacious. Great shower. Small Smeg fridge in room. Breakfast buffet was well-presented and catered for good range of breakfasts. Dogs allowed in rooms and some public areas (not breakfast room).

Difficult to park near the hotel for checking in - only 2 or 3 spaces in lay-bys. Parking is in a public car park across the road so can be a bit of a walk carrying luggage. Only 2 everyday tea bags available in room - could do with a few more.

The room and social areas were excellent, however the breakfast was appalling. The self serve buffet breakfast was cold, eggs congealed, bacon and sausage inedible not only overcooked but cold. Mushrooms slimy. On top of that the queue for tea/ coffee left alot to be desired . I queued behind 14 people only to discover the coffee machine had broken. I attempted to make a sachet coffee only to discover there was no hot water available! It was a debacle all around. On our second day I thought I would give the breakfast a second chance...no different except the coffee machine was working. I finally settled for marmalade and toast. I feel to have 2 coffee machines ( one permanently out of order) in such a large area at a busy time was not acceptable. It's a shame the food part of our stay let the hotel down.

Food temperature

This is a new hotel with excellent soundproofing & clean, modern fittings in the rooms. The beds are decent. Breakfast was nutritious with eggs etc - even if it was pre-cooked scrambled egg that was somewhat overcooked by the time we arrived. However, I mentioned to the staff member that a grilled tomato would have been nice to go with the eggs & toast & he went away and grilled me some there and then - I was pleasantly surprised. His attitude typified my experience of the staff during my visit, which was very positive.

A map of the immediate area would have been nice! The hotel is newly-built opposite another newly-built block of flats, built to a high standard. But everything is on the edge of a new, modern shopping centre which has carved through the road immediately in front of the hotel so that it now leads nowhere, even though google will lead you down it...you get the picture. If you arrive after dark no-one is in the shopping centre, but you have to walk through it to go anywhere, which feels a bit creepy. We persevered & eventually found a nice Italian restaurant run by a Sicilian gentleman & had a nice evening, but who'd have known?

Room was very comfortable, very clean and pleasantly surprised to find a fridge. Well equipped room with safe, hairdryer. Creative and good lighting and bedside tables, free wifi. First stay with one of these hotels and i was really impressed.

Breakfast was good in general but the hot items on the 2 mornings i was there were not replenished quickly, there was no cutlery on one morning and the bread was also not replenished for the toast. If i am being a little picky, the only thing that was not as good as everything else for cleanliness were the hallway carpets on the upper floors (4th floor in my case) but the rooms and other communal areas were spotless. Parking is half price in a multi storey car park located opposite. Its not expensive when 50% off but would have been nice to know the rates beforehand.

The breakfast was varied and plentiful. My wife needed gluten-free options as she is a coeliac and there was sufficient choices for her. The breakfast staff (particularly Bruno) were extremely helpful and very customer focussed, nothing was too much trouble. Supplies were being topped up, tables cleared away and cleaned in a timely manner for the next guest. The reception staff were very professional and Kimi's greeting on our late night arrival was welcoming and friendly. Our room was a decent size with all the facilities you would expect. The SMEG fridge was an added bonus. Our room was cleaned daily with fresh towels and the beverage provision topped up. All staff we encountered during our 6 night stay were attentive and are an asset to this hotel.

I don't have anything negative to report. The hotel met all our requirements and I would recommend a stay here.

Hotel is in a great location with fantastic parking facilities that are discounted right next to the hotel. Staff were excellent and very helpful. The rooms are really great, couple of bottles of water in the fridge would be a great touch! The bed was so comfy! The mattress was the best hotel mattress I've stayed on. The pillows i love a slightly fimer option available as well but I sunk into these and slept like a log. No noise, no issues, and the hotel was immaculate Luisa who i dealt with over an extended check out due to me staying for an operation the following morning was really helpful before the stay and put my mind at ease knowing my partner wasn't sat in his car just waiting for me as we live 2 hours away. Thank you for this. It really meant a lot knowing he was okay. He also loved the breakfast & the gym! I'm now even more gutted i couldn't have the breakfast after seeing the picture he took. Would highly recommend and, if ever in Rochdale again, would stay here over anywhere else Thanks again for making such a stressful stay so easy and nice.

Nothing at all! The stay was perfect!

Very comfortable bed Friendly staff including domestics and restaurant staff, willing to help and accommodating Good bacon, coffee, toiletries, furnished to high standard. Good there was no need to take hairdryer or iron. Nice to try the Waffles, made a nice change. Good selection at breakfast.

I missed some TV trying to fix it. A young lady from reception replace the remote for a older model. Disappointed I missed programs I wanted to watch

The whole hotel was very well kept. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The food was not so good. The hotel claims to have a restaurant for evening meals. What that actually means is you sit in the large entrance hall and have food brought out on order from their very limited menu. The food was OK but very far from the best I've had. The breakfast wasn't very nice at all. The scrambled eggs were dry and rubbery, the sausages and hash browns were pretty tasteless and the bacon and mushrooms tasted very odd. nothing like bacon or mushrooms!

Great Breakfast, lovely room, very clean and smart. Bar prices and snack prices very reasonable too. Makes a refreshing change to having to pay silly money for beers/snacks etc.

Only negative in the whole of our stay and if we were to be picky. Lovely huge mirror in our room, unfortunately is placed on the wall opposite toilet/bathroom door. When using toilet in the night the light switch is on the outer of the door so switching on the light before entering into the bathroom totally then lights up the whole bedroom area due to the reflection of the light from the bathroom. This then wakes up the person in bed (myself or wife) saying this, there is no other wall that would allow the huge mirror, so this is unavoidable, apart from removing the mirror itself, which in itself would be a shame. So I suppose there is a plus and negative to that.
