Very clean room and lovely bed linen. The room was cleaned every morning albeit basic cleaning but enough for my needs. Coffee and biscuits replenished every day. Although the single room was very small it was very well appointment and had everything I needed.

I wasn’t sure if I was alone the first two nights once the restaurant had closed as keys were in all the other doors so I believe I was the only person staying there. My last night, Saturday night the music in the bar was very loud so about 1230am I phoned down and asked if they could turn the music down. They wouldn’t as they said I should have read the details on Booking.com. When I asked what time would it finish they said at 1.30am! So not a good ending to my stay!

The sheets and towels were of very good quality and overall the entire place was easy to access, well equipped and of an excellent standard. Staff were helpful and welcoming and I felt at ease throughout. There's a nice little cafe nearby for breakfast and it's easy to reach from the station. They were also dog friendly. I'd definitely go again if I was to return to Rochdale. Outstanding value for money.

My 12£ grilled prawns with sourdough were disappointing. I would have liked the not very abundant bread to at least have been toasted for the price. My aubergine stew with butter beans did not have butter beans in it. That said the waitress was extremely kind and attentive and the restaurant atmosphere was welcoming. Fewer choices on the menu more carefully planned would have made for a better experience.

Location was fantastic, with great views of Hollingworth lake. Staff were very friendly, and didn't disturb ones privacy. Room was cleaned regularly, and the bed I slept in was one of the comfiest I've slept in at a hotel. Plenty of bars and restaurants within the area, as well as it's own which seems to be fairly popular with the locals (a good sign).

Not so much a dislike for this business, as it's out of their control. The car park directly across, appears to be a hang out for some of the 'boy racers' in the area on a Friday and Saturday night, but that may only be seasonal with good weather.

Booked an apartment because we wanted to be able to entertain friends. Amazed to be given a place that was about twice the size of our first home. Lounge, dining room (table and 4 chairs plus a sofa!) and kitchen on one floor then upstairs to a huge attic bedroom and bathroom. Hard floor downstairs, carpet up the stairs and on the landing/bedroom. Arrived earlier than expected but were shown to the apartment almost immediately and well in advance of the "check-in time". Plenty of dining options both on-site and in the immediate area. If you want to do watersports on the lake this seems like an ideal option.

It wasn't "dirty" but it wasn't "4-in-a-bed clean" either. Clean enough to be comfortable but not pristine. The car park was worryingly small, to the point where, having got a spot, we didn't really want to relinquish it (although there is a public Pay and Display just opposite). It was a rainy day and at one point there was a bit of a leak through one of the light fittings in the lounge. But it stopped as quickly as it started and didn't reappear. Fridge freezer could do with a defrost and the stair carpet is beginning to look a bit grubby.

Lake Lounge is very nice and the staff friendly and helpful. The food was good with a variety that would suit most diets My room was clean and had everything I needed

The only thing I would say is that the carpet needed replacing in my room but everything else was spotless.

We didn't know anything about the Lake Lounge rooms because we picked it at the last minute to stop near a wedding venue. The place was great , the atmosphere was great and we really enjoyed being there. Would recommend it to anyone.

Nothing I didn't like all was ok for me, only one day the person who cleaned the room took my cup and forgot to replace it. There was no one to ask in the morning.

Great to be able to take my dogs. Room was clean and well presented. I had everything I needed. Kettle, TV, ensuite. Key to get in and out when the restaurant was shut. Free parking. Beautiful view of lake and hills behind.

Staff were so helpful and attentive and service outstanding. Food was amazing. we had the tapas which were big portions. Free parking was a bonus. Great atmosphere.

En suite was really tiny. Had to sit on the loo at an angle as toilet too close to the wall. No mirror in the bedroom so unable to dry hair next to a plug. Only mirror was in the bathroom. No ironing facilities or hairdryer as stated in facilities. Nice room but don’t think it’s worth the £110 for a Saturday night

The way I was looked after I arrived back at the hotel Saturday evening soaking wet. The coffee was ready when I came back downstairs after towelling off, but the barman showed initiative by holding back the beer order. They also kept the kitchen open an extra few minutes, to cook me a light supper.

Lack of Breakfast. Although the cafe next door was very good, as advised by the staff.
