Stayed the night to attend a friend's party near Rochdale. It was a lovely room within the owner's house - lovely and comfortable and relaxing. There was a super view of the stunning garden from our window - awesome! Chris is a lovely host. She made sure we were warm (the weather was miserable!) and advised us when we were looking for a reliable taxi service. As it was 'room only', a hospitality tray was provided which adequately met our needs. We had our evening meal and breakfast at a lovely eaterie along the front, only 10 minutes walk away from the house. It was a lovely overnight stay. There was plenty of room to park in the large driveway too, which is so important. Thank you so much Chris.

There was nothing not to like!

Fabulous accommodation, quiet location, a short walk from the lake. The host was very welcoming and pleasant and thoughtful in ensuring the guests have everything they could possibly need, ie, cotton wool buds, tissues, hot chocolate, biscuits and a bottle of water. I enjoyed a comfortable nights sleep, awoke rested to enjoy a beautiful garden view.

I found nothing not to like. Excellent all round.

Comfortable and cosy little Anex perfect for my little girl. The lady was very friendly showing her the fish and bringing me things I needed like an ironing board. At the end I left something behind and she got it back to me quickly. It's not a bad price. Super comfy bed

There's a little confusion on booking.com as to whats for 1 person and what's for 2. You supposedly can get charged more for exactly the same room. So best to book for 1 and then sort it out directly with the lady on arrival who was very friendly

location was spot on, Chris the owner was amazing so friendly so professional so welcoming, was very clean, and was the best sleep ive had in years. i will stay there again and recommend Hollingworth Guest House to anyone.

Landlady Chris was great, very chatty and helpful, the location was absolutely perfect for the lake and places to eat out.

There is nothing I disliked about this guest house and the place in general.

I was travelling with my dog and stayed in one of the rooms in the pet friendly annex. Quiet location and self contained with all the facilities needed for an overnight stay. The house is a few mins walk from the cafes and restaurants on the lake side. Owner was very friendly and accommodating. Bus stop out the front and a short walk up from Smithy Bridge station.

It may have just been a difficulty on the evening I stayed - I had to go out into the garden to pick up the wifi - probably with the router in the main house. All was great otherwise.

Clean, tidy and very comfortable facilities. Bed was super comfy with good quality bedding. Excellent location, close to Hollingworth lake. Excellent Wi-Fi too. Excellent host.

Chris was a very helpful host and responded very promptly to my messages. This accommodation doesn't have breakfast, but there are food options nearby so it wasn't a problem. I had a fish and chips dinner as well as a curry takeaway dinner and Chris provided a plate and cutlery. Being able to park on the drive was useful too as there are restrictions in the immediate vicinity. A walk around the lake is worth doing to get some exercise.!

Lovely spacious and comfortable room, refreshed each day and coffee/ tea replenished. Spotlessly clean. Plenty of hot water for showering. Great communication by the host, Chris. Off street parking. Highly recommend.

Breakfast isn’t included. Chris always goes out of her way to accommodate my allergies. My little dog is happy there & settled better this time as we have been once before. Beautiful location by the lake.
