We had the executive sweet which was spacious, comfortable and clean. It is at the back of the property so no noise issues from the events being held during our stay.
I didn't enjoy reaching for the toilet roll smashing my forehead against sharp tiling. It was painful and there was blood. Staff were helpful with getting the first aid box for me, however made no attempt to log or rectify the issue for any future guests so if you're staying in room 59 BE CAREFUL.

Nice location off from the road, well located for my needs. Comfy bed and a good stock of tea / coffee / milk which was replenished daily. Breakfast was service when it was a quiet day, buffet style as more guests came. Good cooked food offer with options for other stuff cooked to order (eg eggs Benedict). Also have yoghurts, pastries and fruit as well as self make tea and coffee. Lovely staff and the restaurant offered a decent range of evening meals (not all were on offer).
I thought it might be adjacent to a country park for early morning walk/runs. It isn’t!! People smoking outside the doors that say ‘don’t smoke here’. It was quite noisy at 1100 and 0630 when people came to bed and left again. There’s definitely noise pollution from other rooms - you may want to consider ear plugs if easily disturbed. The hot water took forever to come through to the tap or shower and the flow from the shower was pretty weedy. My room at the back was overlooked by some houses / flats (there were nets up in my room) and these had bright lights all night for the paths. The curtains were blackout type but there was some light leakage around them so light sleepers may prefer a sleep mask.

The perfect stay away for me and my 5 year old. The staff were amazing with my child and made them feel really welcome. The grounds were stunning. Having a children's pool on site was good for an additional fee which was fairly competitive. There were adult only areas in the stables spa too. The hotel was well kept and the has traditional features. The room was cosy with everything we needed. The staff were exceptional throughout and the service was a 'proper northern' welcome. Lovely people. Thank you
The pool was missing some tiles so it does need a bit of TLC to bring it up to the standard of the other areas of the Stables Spa complex.

Coffee machine in the room was a great addition, would have been nice to have a few different options on the coffee choice tho or even a hot chocolate option. Breakfast was delicious, dining room was lovely, very clean and staff attentive. Beds were comfortable and we both slept well. Room was clean.
Room was tiny, I am not a big fan of sleeping so close to the door of the room and the loft hatch in the room was a bit strange. The bar area has a lovely fire but it was occupied when I went down so I didn't get chance to sit by it and read with a drink. The actual bar seating area looks really old and very dated, could do with a bit of attention as it makes the hotel look like a working mens club, not very welcoming.

Really nice, clean hotel with good facilities and friendly staff. The breakfast was superb as was the hospitality at the birthday party we attended at the hotel. Nice clean and comfortable room.
Some areas need a bit of an updated. The leisure facilities although really nice and I believe operated by a different company anyway, are not very friendly in terms of signage. Lots of don’t do posters around the pool from everything from the use of mobile phones to shaving in the facilities. I guess there’s been problems in the past, but a bit off putting in terms of the tone. Not all guests want to whip out their razor and start shaving their legs in the sauna!

We had the most warm welcome from the lovely Shirley at reception! Our room was spacious, comfortable and clean, nothing fancy but certainly value for money if using the leisure centre. My daughters enjoyed the swimming and jacuzzi and we visited a nearby Indian restaurant in the evening then later chilled watching Netflix. We had a lovely breakfast, full English and lots of continental options. We went shopping the next day at a nearby complex and the famous Bury Market is also on the doorstep. Overall a very pleasant stay and good value for money. Shirley was great (even gave us a nudge in the morning when we hadn’t come down for breakfast). Would stay again 👌

The hotel was situated in beautiful grounds that were extremely well kept,we had a nice view from our window, The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the food in the restaurant was really good, breakfast had everything you could want, and again very helpful staff. The check out time is really good at 11am. The bedrooms were spacious and nicely decorated and equipped.
Check in says 2pm, we arrived at 3.15pm and our room still wasnt ready for us, we were asked to come back, not a major problem for us as we visited the bar! But could be a problem if we had gone for a special occasion! Maybe need to alter check in to a later time and ask guest to pay if they want an early check in. The bed was a little uncomfortable but was ok for one nights stay, and the pillows were a little flat.

Great rooms plenty of space , good breakfast service and staff very friendly
Advertising the hotel has a pool and leisure facilities, this is only half true there's a private leisure club on the site however hotel guests have to pay to access, plus family access is very limited only 3 hrs in an afternoon. We'd booked this hotel for the leisure facilities and never had the chance to use

We chose the Bolholt because of the location. We were attending a wedding ( not at that venue) and we were really happy with our choice. We didn't use any of the facilities available, only because we were busy with friends. The room was lovely, and the bed was really comfortable, making for a good stay. The room had ironing board and iron, plus a super hairdryer. It was lovely waking up to bird songs rather than busy roads. The staff who are on reception are very helpful and friendly. We would definitely recommend this hotel, and if we were looking for accommodation in the future, we would book again 😀
There was nothing not to like.

The hotel was in a really nice place. The food was lovely, the staff was lovely. Every time we had breakfast and dinner, we were full as it was really good food, and we enjoyed every bit of it! The room was spacious, the beds were comfy, the bathroom mirror was amazing!! The walk to the leisure centre was nice and relaxing!! The pools and jacuzzi's were expectational, nice area and really good pond!! We kept seeing ducks, squirrels all the time which was lovely!! We would definitely come back again!! As we have really enjoyed ourselves!! The staff was really helpful and lovely which made our stay even better!!
The room was nice however it needs a small bit of tlc, one light switch was really crooked, the radiator was leaking, one the main lights weren't working, TV kept saying its unable to work and restarted, the bedside tables were unstable and wobbly, and one of them had sharp glass on the edge, the water kept stopping and starting, the walls looks like they needed repainting.
