It is a ten minute walk into town (although up hill) The room was clean and comfortable, as well as being well decorated. Cleanliness of hotel was good.Friendly and helpful staff.

It is convenient for walking into town but it can be noisy at times with traffic and people, if you are on the side facing the road. I would recommend taking ear plugs as you will need the windows open on warm evenings.

Large, comfortable room. Great bed, great shower and great internet - everything we needed. It was good to have a kettle and a fridge in the room. We could even have cooked as there was also a stove top and a microwave. The parking was a bonus. It was hot weather and they kindly gave us a fan - much appreciated. We have stayed here before as it is so convenient for town and for visiting the family. Everyone was really friendly. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable.

The staff was very helpful and could not do enough. They gave us a king size bed and we had booked a double so this was such a lovely upgrade. The stay was really good value for money and we will definitely be back. The family, owners and all staff are so kind which makes the stay personal so much more comfortable. Highly recommend 👌

The hotel had clearly just been refurbished and was in excellent condition. The staff could not have been more friendly or helpful. The location was excellent, too. Just 5 minutes walk away from Castle Park. The free parking was a wonderful bonus..

Honestly, there was nothing to dislike about this lovely little hotel.

Good location and value for money

No outside window and sky light did not work/open as no batteries in remote control. When we enquiries they assured us they would get it fixed, but they didn’t. Rather uncomfortable night for sleeping but had a fan! Hard to find as well. Directions could have been better.

Very comfy bed, friendly staff and good location, walking distance into town. Free parking included next to the hotel. Was given the option to change to twin beds instead of the double, allowed the choose which we wanted which was nice.

Felt abit rushed to leave with knock at the door 30 mins before check out time

It was quite loud at night as we were right next to the private hire room but honestly it didn't matter as we stayed on NYE and we were out until late anyway. We were made aware of the party when we arrived to the property

Flexibility in accomodating early check in, kind and attentive manager. Close to railway station and well connected by bus

It was in a very convenient location for us.

The fire alarm went off in the middle if the night and it was a 'false' alarm. It was difficult to get back to sleep after that. They weren't serving breakfast on that day, although that dint natter to us.

stayed 3 nights - the weather was very hot so the fan and fridge in the room were a bonus -the staff are all friendly and helpful and i liked that it was only a walk from the station and bus stops. thank you
