The room was clean, warm and in good condition with everything working as it should. The public facilities were also abundant, clean and in good condition and working order. The food was good and reasonable value and the included breakfast buffet was especially good, well attended and tasty. The staff were very friendly, well presented, polite and extremely helpful at all times.

I had a 2 week stay in a twin room. After the first week I placed the used bed linen and towels in a pile and hung the housekeeping card on the door. When I returned, the cleaner had replaced the towels but had placed my used bed linen back on the bed. I thought this was strange and annoying but, as there was a second bed in the room, I simply swapped the bed linen myself for the second week and did not complain, especially as everything else was going so well.

The ease of booking in, the speed of evening service for dinner and the lovely complimentary breakfast with fantastic choice on offer. Loved the pancake machine. The staff were fabulous, and even gave my daughter a complimentary gift for her cheer competition the next day. A really kind and unexpected gesture that we’ve never received at any other hotel when staying over for a competition before! Thank you, it was really appreciated.

Sadly there were other guests in the room next door who somewhat ruined the stay by being loud late into the night, and then getting up at 6am and being even louder. Not the hotels fault obviously but we were looking forward to a good sleep before competing the next day!

Everything was excellent - pleasantly surprised. Good sized, well laid out, provisioned room - Every detail was just right: TV was movable as it was not fixed to the wall (great) Desk had its own directable light, The Desk's Chair was good. The Bedside tables are just the right height, the power sockets are in the right place. The Bathroom has a low level, night light for navigation in the dark. The Bathroom is well laid out, fairly spacious, very clean, nice sink and an excellent, large shower. The Receptionist was wonderful (happy, polite, helpful) They provided me with complimentary toothpaste and brush ! There is a bar and restaurant which is large and nice enough. The help yourself, buffet Breakfast was well laid out with a good variety of options (incl. Gluten free) and started at 06.30 All in all - perfect and excellent !

The room was very comfortable and a good temperature - and it had a good sized desk, which was vital for me. Although the hotel was very near the A12 and I had a room facing the road, the bedroom was reasonably quiet and the traffic little more than a background hum. It certainly didn't keep me awake. The eating facilities at the hotel were better than expected. Despite the evening food menu not looking terribly promising, the food was actually good and at a reasonable price. I very much enjoyed everything I ordered there, and the portion sizes were more than adequate. The Shell garage next door was an added bonus, stocking lots of extra food items if you needed them.

Actually, there was nothing particular that was an issue.

We were well looked after by the ladies on reception. In line with our request we were allocated a room on the ground floor which was for people suffering from mobility problems which was good but would have been better if it had single beds. The free breakfast was also a bonus |Another plus was the petrol garage just across the way which, in addition to selling petrol, sold a host of other commodities

The cooked "all day" breakfast was acceptable but there seemed to be a shortage of eggs and those that were available were scrambled. There was no other choice available. Moreover as this was a "self serve" type of situation, portion control was not much in evidence meaning that some patrons went without. certain items. As the breakfast was for "free" we did not deem it worth complaining.

It was very clean and modern and family friendly. Staff were very polite, friendly and helpful

The location is not so great as on arrival it stank like sewage from outside but couldn’t smell it inside. Luckily being winter we didn’t need to open any windows but can imagine in the summer it’s an issue. Only other thing that I thought would be helpful would be some coat hooks on the wall in the entrance. There are hangers which was fine but coat hooks would have been great for our bulky winter coats and scarfs etc

our initial booking was for a room with a double bed and a sofa bed as I couldn't see any available twin beds. After a night in a fairly cramped room the very helpful staff found us a much more spacious room with twin beds. The breakfasts were very good though a bit samey with scrambled egg every morning! Overall though a good experience.

The sofa bed was like 'sleeping on a bed of nails' due to the ridges in the mattress. The air conditioning didn't work in the twin bed room as there was no part to push up and down - reported to staff.

We had no difficulty parking and received a very friendly welcome on arrival. Our rooms were upgraded so that they were opposite in the corridor. A pleasant dining room, we had a large lunch on route to hotel so the soup and bread and pizza on the light snack menu was just right. Good choice of options for breakfast and well cooked. Our room was very clean and we had everything we required. Good value for money.

There was slight traffic noise in the morning but this was because our window was open as far as restriction would allow and was not really a problem.

For a Holiday Inn Express this is great, second time we've stayed here, does exactly what we need it to... somewhere to sleep that was comfy and clean), showers are great, nice and big so I could easily shower our young kids as well, and breakfast in the morning with a great selection! If you want to spend more time in the hotel you may want to look elsewhere but when we go away we don't really spend any time in the hotel room so we don't need a massive room or a luxurious bath. Main this for us is comfort, cleanliness and breakfast and this ticks all the boxes. We also had a travel cot this time supplied by Holiday Inn which again was clean and in good working order.

The fact you can sleep 2 in a very clean spacious room which includes a buffet breakfast for under £80 was amazing. The facilities were spotless.

There was a smell of weed in our room and around the facility but we were out for the night and when we got back we were too drunk to notice. We are a same sex couple and the lady at the front desk made us feel uncomfortable by pointing out we had a double bed room and do we want to change for a single after I said 3 times that it was what we wanted.
