Loved how all the staff were so nice!! Very helpful indeed. Breakfast was super! Layout was also good if a little mesmerising with corridors all looking the same. The decor - especially the art on the walls of Ipswich Town - was pleasing.

I was cross to find that the outer doors to the hallway by my room were propped open. Anyone could have walked in or about the hallways who was not a guest, so the security of the hotel was compromised. I drink Earl Grey tea so I should have asked for it in my room really rather than expect it to be there. The changing rooms needed a spruce up. The sauna and steam were marvellous and the pool clean and just the right temperature. I like how there was a swim lane marked. I think the windows of the pool could be enhanced by a half mural/etching up halfway. This then screens it from the dining area better.

The staff were very and accommodating and room very clean ,, it was lovely that I could go for a swim too

Restaurant, I ordered a steak but I couldn't even cut it ,, I did tell the staff and was very helpful I didn't want another meal ,but asked for a dessert , I waited for half hour and it never came so I didn't bother ,, then the next night I looked at the menu and asked for fish and chips ,, then was told they are running the menu down for a new menu in March,, so was limited ,, once again I did say you should have a message on a notice board about it ,, they did apologise and didn't charge me when I paid my bill when I left ,,

Very happy with our Holiday In experience in Ipswich!!! We required a spontaneous on the night check-in for 2 nights as we found a prebooked apartment in a filthy state. The reception lady called Alex was brilliant and sorted out 2 rooms that were interconnecting so we could stay with our 2 young children in the adjoining room. She went out of her way to move rooms around to accommodate my request for interconnecting rooms. Just top notch service and friendliness from the staff. A massive relief for us after the trauma of having to leave other accommodation.

Service for food took longer than average, probably as there was a Christmas party happening.

Convenient location. Comfortable room. Nice breakfast. Pleasant bar lounge area.

Only one person on the desk in the evening combined with a clunky check-in IT system led to delays and a long check-in queue. How about better integrating Holiday Inn's checking system with Booking.com reservations? The room smelt a bit musky (not well aired). Would be nice if the breakfast period could be extended to 11:00 [ because the location is convenient for parkrunners who would eat after their parkrun at either Ipswich or Alton Water].

We booked two nights here after a week on a boat on the Norfolk Broads. As two adults, two teens and a dog it was a squeeze in one room but that was our choice. The main bed was very comfy, the sofa bed was as you'd expect from a sofa bed. Other reviews say the bathrooms are small but they have a lovely big shower which we all thought was great. The hydration station in reception was a god send! Even water for the dog which he went to every time we were in reception. The breakfast was amazing, everything we tried was fantastic. Good quality and well cooked. Having a dog with us, we ate in the bar/lounge area which was great for us. There is lots of green space outside the hotel to walk the dog and the staff had put our room close to one of the entrances so it was easy to take him out. Overall a great end to our holiday.

Great to have gluten free options without having to ask Swimming pool availability for children was excellent - no restrictions on time People so very friendly and helpful

Bathroom so small I struggled to get into it at the same time to help my child….it was maybe 6 by 5 ft. Could hardly close the door when standing in front of the toilet. I am not overweight. Healthy Food choice limited - Caesar salad was 6-8 lettuce leaves, good sprinkle of cheese and 36 crouton for nearly £12!

Stayed one night for work and wonderfully surprised. The hotel was clean and well presented staff had a warm greeting on reception. The room was cleaned and well presented the bathroom was a little small but functional. We booked dinner inclusive option and what a great range of options and the food was excellent. The staff are excellent very cheerful and cant do enough to make you feel welcome. Breakfast was excellent with a wide range of options and more than enough to choose from.

Welcoming front of house on arrival, was very helpful and efficient. Upgraded our room for free. Use of spa and swimming pool was inclusive and wasn't too busy at the time we used it. The restaurant staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. Overall a nice stay.

The room carpet was a little on the dirty side. Perhaps a steam clean is needed. I did find some nail clippings on the carpet from the previous customers. My partner wasnt keen on the communal changing rooms at the swimming pool.

Great location to explore Pet friendly so my dog could sit with me in the bar enjoy a drink food was amazing all the staff were friendly and helpful Nice grounds to walk the dog as well Would stay again highly recommend

Wasn’t able to use leisure facilities as they didn’t like pets being left alone in rooms in case they disturbed other clients which I appreciate but my dog Alfie is very quiet and happy to chill on his bed after a walk I was travelling alone

This was on Sunday morning. I went down for breakfast, the lady asked for my ticket. My husband was running late he had our tickets, so I told the lady that my husband was coming. The lady asked me to wait, I can't get in until she sees the breakfast tickets. Finally my husband came we got in. After a little while, I saw this gentleman without tickets he just said his room number, and she let him in? I think I was unfairly treated 😕 Treat your customers the same, please. We see everything.
