The breakfast was very good. Plenty of choice. Very nicely cooked and generous portions. The room was a good size, clean and well appointed, and serviced every day.

We didn't like that other guests small children were allowed to run noisily around the restaurant area and between the tables. We would recommend that children should only be allowed in the restaurant if well behaved, quiet, and kept sat at their table with their parents. It is not difficult to keep children occupied during a meal, if the parents had any consideration and respect for other guests.

The staff are great, everyone who served us was very welcoming and efficient. Nice meal in the evening.

We didn’t upgrade to garden view, but didn’t expect a view of bins, and general rubbish It needs a tidy up out the back. Thought the price was expensive for what we got, maybe it’s the area?? Grab n go breakfast was ok but would prefer to eat sitting in the dining room . Again didn’t feel it was value for money.

Very friendly and welcoming staff, excellent service, excellent dinner, and the excellent breakfast is served in a perfect relaxing atmosphere which set me up for the day ahead,

The beer was okay. I know my tastes are at odds with the majority of the population, but I would have liked a choice of real ale, including porters or stouts on draught or even a balanced bitter, rather than the choice of IPA, IPA, or Pale Ale (all too hoppy for my taste).

Welcoming staff, good food, especially breakfast, which was excellent. The room & bathroom were very clean and a comfortable bed. Good busy pub vibe. This is the second time we've stayed at the Egerton Arms & would certainly stay there again.

A minor quibble - the room was compact, with only an upright chair, so a case of having to sit on the bed to read or watch tv. The stairs to the bedroom were steep, which might be an issue for someone with limited mobility.

A very good variety of food and beautifully presented. The service was excellent and the staff went out of their way to attend to our needs.

People had to wait for a long period of time waiting for Sunday lunch. The food was lovely when we did receive it though.

The breakfast was outstanding and graciously served hot in a pleasant atmosphere with soft music in the background. Chandra was an attentive hostess and owner of a beautifully appointed breakfast area and pub. The room was comfortable and had everything that we needed. Thank you Chandra!

I have no suggestions or complaints. I would recommend this establishment to anyone who was looking for a comfortable stay in Astbury.

lovely old pub. good choice of ale. car park garden space and outside area clean and well maintained. staff polite and keen to please. food little expensive but very good and plenty of it. breakfast plenty of local produce bacon black pudding very nice. defo stay again if in area.. thank you for good stay..

went on very very very warm day. room was roasting. fan in the room would of been nice. only other advice booked double room but only had 1 little bottle of shampoo , conditioner and shower gel.. we did take our own tho.. but over all brilliant..

Excellent overnight stay, great location for a stopover for a family wedding. Friendly helpful staff who were knowledgeable about the area. Chandra was so helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Great breakfast in great surroundings. Would definitely recommend.

Bathroom blind needed replacing and bed was a little bit hard. The stairs up to the room were steep and difficult got someone with limited mobility.

Lovely comfortable clean room ! Staff lovely especially Italian lady who served us. Good location for our venue and lots of seating outdoor unfortunately the weather wasn’t great ! But would definitely recommend this lovely place

Ok so our only criticism would be that the breakfast sausages weren’t great ! And there was no vegetarian option.

it is a beautiful setting we were greeted by lovely staff who then introduced us to Shandra our host she was so lovely made us feel so welcome took us to our room explained everything could not have been any more helpful breakfast the two mornings we were there were lovely you were not over faced but everything you got on your plate was well cooked and delicious

Nothing even though I use crutches and it was up a short flight of stairs we had absolutely no complaints
